That would be around 180M. Spotrac had been using the agreed upon floor of like 175M. It's not a good time to be a free agent though. Top end guys will still get theirs, but the middle tier and below are about to get lowballed - i also see middle level talent signing extensions to stay where they are. Example: John brown - Cap hit 9.5m, dead cap 1.6. He won't get 8M on the open market. So instead, you drop his salary to like 1M for 2021, and partially guarantee a year in 2022 with a signing bonus and roster bonus. Gets his cap hit down to something like 3M, and he doesn't lose a game of musical chairs and end up signing a 1 year deal for like 1M which can tank his value.

I look at the teams near the top of the league in rushing - and they are either propped up by a mobile QB (baltimore, arizona, NE), or they run a variation of Kubiaks outside zone scheme (Titans, Browns, Vikings, Packers, 49ers in 2019). We are propped up by a mobile QB, and we don't run an outside zone scheme- majority of snaps come out of shotgun.

Weather is the Bills kryptonite....

Here's my thoughts on a dome... They played football in middle school and high school... outdoors. They played football in college - most likely outdoors (at least likely the majority of games). Why do they move to all indoor games in the pros? It's an outdoor game, its played in the fall and winter, and the fans tend to like that weather aspect of it. -
Weather is the Bills kryptonite....

As much as the weather was a factor - the game flow in the 2nd half was very strange. Buffalo drove down and scored to go up 7 - ran almost 6 minutes off the clock. Baltimore drove down and threw a pick 6 to go down 14 - but also ran almost 9 minutes off the clock. Buffalo then got the ball at the start of the 4th quarter and ran another 5 minutes off the clock. They ended up punting as they were in a poor down and distance in baltimore territory - but up 14. The 1st and 2nd down calls had nothing to do with wind - the QB sweep was snuffed out and the mckenzie pass didn't work. Next possession they were in FG territory and tried to run clock. But this is a successful possession in a 2 score game - no points, 5 minutes off the clock, pinned them at the 10. If baltimore had scored on any of their 2nd half possessions i think buffalo's offense is opened up a bit more. But they didn't -
His value goes up because of the contract honestly. 5 years 146.5 for a new team acquiring him - and his cap hit is low for 2021 when the cap is likely at its lowest. It's not cheap but if he's a top 5-10 QB its actually pretty good. I'd say play hard-ball - but good luck getting free agents to sign with your team when you basically are holding a pro-bowler hostage during the prime of his career. If I'm the owner, i sit down with him and figure out what it takes to keep him here.

you gonna pay for it?! -
There are issues all over in the zone scheme. I'm not sure if its chemistry (lot of people missing games this year) or what, but outside zone is getting absolutely blown up. But at the same time - it could be a bit of a recency bias. Look at the stats of the 2 defenses buffalo just played - they both are near top of the league in run defense.

Yes - adding an all-pro weapon typically would make the offense unstoppable. Using a high pick on a running back this year would be insanely reckless imo. Ezekial elliot is a good case for this - he went from all-pro to all-crap. What changed? Probably the center retiring, and the 2 tackles missing the entire season injured, martin missing the final 5 weeks. I'd even say prescott missing time harmed the run game.

The bills and Allen have won 2 this year - and that the following players have fewer than 2 in their careers: Cousins - 104 starts Stafford - 165 starts Watson - 54 starts Prescott - 69 starts Carr - 110 starts I know its a team stat - but at the end of the day, these guys have 2 total wins among them and are among the highest paid players at their position.

Yes. You can also for all intents and purposes add the replacement to the dead cap hit since you aren't really saving it if you spent it on another player. Right, you already gave him the bonus. If you retired with 3 years of bonus payments they would all get mashed into 1 cap hit. Brees also has 2 void years of bonus payments. He was never even intended to be on the team, they fully expected to eat cap space to not have him - with the intention of being more competitive on the rest of the roster.

Anonymous Dolphins players: not sold on Tua

Losing the week 17 game to get into the playoffs... while playing terribly? I'm not surprised his teammates aren't sold. -

Gotta cut him in the first 2 days of the league year or he gets a 15m roster bonus and ur basically stuck with ben. -
Key to beating the Ravens- beating the blitz
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Baltimore's rushing attack is a lot different than anyone else. But I think we can crowd the LOS - attack the mesh point and identify the RPO read. You can't let the 5-10 yard completion turn into 20+. 3rd downs and 3rd down defense. If you can create turnovers, even better. -

That was mostly just switching how they were blocking heyward. He was a problem, they adjusted and the steelers couldn't fix it. I'd like to see some mckenzie motion in this game, same with diggs. A timely screen to knox. The john brown screen call if they give those 0 looks.
