  1. I don't remember frazier out there missing 20 tackles. I think the thought process was also - spread them out along the field and prepare for a possible... hook and ladder or fumblerooski style play. Just too far off and too far wide. To leave the seam exposed like that is criminal.
  2. YACs a neat stat, but a lot of it is tied to the depth of target. Kupp and Kelce to me are just... freaky good players who see the field like QBs. It is not their flatline speed that kills teams. Samuel gets a ton of short depth throws. Same with Adams, Ekeler, Godwin, Johnson, Hardman, Harris in the top 10 of that field. I think it's a product of the offense, as well as the defenses you're seeing. KC and buffalo were seeing a ton of deep safety looks, and KC was able to A- run more effectively, B- utilize hardman in the mckenzie role much more frequently/effectively and C- crack the zones open with Kelce. Buffalo only had about 90 RB targets in 17 games - they also have 3 regular playing WRs who would have lead KC in aDOT. Buffalo seemed to open up the offense more once they got backs involved, and it seemed to help the run game as well. If your best players are Ekeler or Adams or something, it makes sense to get them the ball right off the snap etc. But our best players are guys like knox davis and diggs who make their money a bit further down the field. I agree with Beane in saying Beasley should be back, i just expect far fewer than the 100+ targets he's seen the last couple years. I also don't think he should be running screen plays and 2 and 3 yard out routes, he's not dynamic enough to create after that. Too often he'd make the catch, try and juke and just get put down. But you do need WRs with good hands out of the slot, he just needs to be a bit further downfield not the like 1-4 yard plays. Mckenzie should and did start to see some of those looks as the season went on, but when you see samuel and patterson playing these hybrid roles so effectively you may want to look for a more dynamic player in the draft (after round 1, even at pick 25 i like them to continue looking for athletic upside).
  3. Not to mention that kickoff thing where they just didn't down the ball...
  4. I think Beane understands gameday coaching is an art not a science. Easy to question a punt, FG, snap counts for certian players, etc after the game. I felt like kicking was the right call... the formations seemed to favor X over Y
  5. I'd like to see a 10 minute overtime period after... I'd also like the game to just... pick up where it leaves off. No coin toss. Go to a quick commercial and keep playing. Still tied after 10? Do another 10. Thats my OT idea.
  6. If I get to watch allen have a HoF career and win 1 super bowl, I'd be happy. I'd love for him to win multiple, but I'd absolute take that career path.
  7. A few bad scrambles, a few light boxes, and a few terrible run fits. We suck at defending reverses too.
  8. Edmunds made a couple plays but they made him a conflict guy a bunch so he looks worse. Ends need to hammer the mesh point in the RPOs. Terrible gap misses gave them huge rush gains. Wallace and Jackson were overmatched too, and it felt like frazier called a generally strange game.
  9. I would say... at least a couple more chances. He's the best coach we've had in like 25 years by a huge margin, and he's basically running into his mentor the last 2 years.
  10. How about lining someone up within 10 yards of him... those were 2 terrible playcalls. Milano sucked outside of all those plays too. At least Rousseau put his frigging hands up. I'm done with Edmunds. Dodson can do the same crappy job for 1/12th the pay.
  11. Milano sucked tonight. He still sucked tonight tho... not saying fire him, but he was one of the worst offenders tonight
  12. Literally the same thing was said about Andy Reid. Tony dungy. Etc.
  13. He was the best player on defense and ur gonna throw him in the mud? Milano sucked, Hyde sucked, power sucked, Edmunds sucked. Oliver was just about the only disruptive player.
  14. Ahem.. chargers would like a word!!
  15. That wasn't really fault but still unfortunate.
  16. I like it - go down swinging. Score points. Hit them and attack the catch points. I don't see us playing as much cover 4 as KC has been killing teams with RPOs this year so i see a bit more cover 1 man to get poyer more in the box. You can roll that safety to hill if he goes deep, but they've used him a lot in short stuff this year. Kelce and Pringle will be the tough coverage assignments in this one. Can milano break up those 3rd downs?
  17. Yep - that to me always falls on milano and edmunds. They mix them in with RPOs so they create even more conflicts- especially with our zone heavy approach.
  18. That and the FG calls by McD. KC can score and score quick - tons of speed at WR. You can't be kicking in the red zone down 21-9 and 24-12. Buffalo didn't get a stop for a loooong stretch in that game. The other reason we lost was a lot of struggles on the offensive line - couldn't run the ball effectively all day so we just got away from it.
  19. I felt diggs was getting mugged all game and they didn't call anything. Sounds like this crew lets them play too, but these weren't like ticky tacky holds. He was interfered with at the catch point on a couple 3rd downs with no call. First drive there were 2 ticky tack holding calls that benefited KC - the tre white one really wasn't that bad and converted a 3rd and 6 for them. 3 Points On the 2nd drive for KC they got another conversion on 3rd down from a defensive holding on siran neal (who likely played more to be a combination with Klein as a 2nd LB). 7 points Roughing the passer on Oliver wasn't a very good call from what i remember - on a 4th and 3 from the KC 32. They didn't score on that drive but they were on the 8 yardline. DPI on tre white on next drive - 18 yards - kelce fell, i see why they called it.. but kelce initiated contact... 7 Points 17 points on penalty assisted drives... they thrive on those 2nd chances. Buffalo had the big roughing the passer call on the interception that allen threw on the next drive... but Allen picked up the first down on 3rd and 9 and it was called back on holding... when there was literally no holding. So that play imo should never have even happened.
  20. Yeah - Hill is a fast dude. This year they've been forced to use him a bit differently. Yards per target and average depth of target are both way down.
  21. Well if they share a kid there's likely family court. They might just push it over to that. And in that situation I could see them making him pay for stuff.
  22. Yep - pay for the crap you broke and lets all get on with our lives. Also don't break more of her stuff.
  23. Yeah - he'll be ready for the game sunday - might miss some practice/film though. Hopefully some extra stress on his mind and he plays worse. In any case any suspension or punishment wouldn't be til after court anyway so not particularly notable.
  24. Yes - its sort of the point of why they compete all year. When you're expected to make the playoffs you should have an end goal of winning it all.
  25. When people catch your throwaway and its a TD, i'd consider that fairly lucky.
