He is right Lori. Only trolls post facts!

Your entire reply is a grammatical nightmare, but that is OK since you are an amateur.

Buffalo vs Indianapolis - 2010 Ice Bowl

Yeah, cars can be replaced. Nikki is unique. She was aready scheduled to remain in Rochester until the 11th. We will see what happens with car repairs. Unless the frame is messed up or something like that, they would repair it, I think. The "crash" did not set off the air bag (speed was not an issue), so I hope it is just matter of a lot of plastic chit was broken. It is a 2006 Civic, book about $12K. Oh and FYI for others the "little woman" in this case is my daughter, LOL! -
If Manning, Dallas Clark, and Reggie Wayne played the whole game, it may have been a loss today. Except for Manning’s interception, they owned the Bills. Marshawn Lynch seems like he has just lost his desire to play. He and Roscoe Parrish are really disappointing and should be considered expendable if this cannot be corrected. Dear Ralph: do whatever you must to keep Fred Jackson – he showed he was unwilling to be stopped. After he surpassed 200 yards for the game and 1,000 yards for the season, he has surely proven his worth. He is the first 200 rusher in one game since Thurman in 1990! Also see what you can do to keep Schobel from retiring or leaving Buffalo. Fitzpatrick badly overthrew Owens early in the game and Evans near the end of the third quarter;I think it was a combination of not compensating for the wind carrying the ball and the receivers not being as fast in a blizzard to chase the ball down. He placed the ball perfectly on Owens TD. If Fitzpatrick could be consistently THAT good the Bills would finally have their QB. Unfortunately he is erratic and his big numbers today were put up against the Colts “scrubs”. I do not know how some players could be out there in short sleeves. Even worse, as the game progressed more and more fans took off their shirts to get on camera. As one guy stood there looking like a flabby fool, the man next to me said “looking at *that* reminds me why I keep MY shirt on. LOL I was on the Jumbotron twice today (with shirt on). We had Jay Rubeo’s seats, so they were probably looking for his son, Ben. This is the most snow I have personally experienced at a Bills football game, since the Bengals played Buffalo at the Rockpile and Greg Cook was the QB! It was a blizzard! Large tractors with brushes cleaned the snow white field to temporarily make it green again at half time. For the rest of the game they just shoveled the yard lines manually, and the tractors cleaned only the end zones and hash marks between the goal posts, the length of the field. There was a good crowd that thinned out after the half and as the game continued. Me and Babyrock stayed to the end. This was the only game we had together this year. I was bothered a bit when the Bills were booed for going for (and getting) field goals on 4th down instead of trying for a first down. Duh. Postscript: I just made it in the door (7:30 or so) when I got a call from Babyrock. She was driving home separately since she spent Saturday in Buffalo, and my car was at Jay’s in Pittsford. Coming off the Thruway onto the 590 she could not steer her car. I do not know if the wheels locked or a part broke. That ramp was not that icy to cause her to just spin out, but she crashed into a guard rail, did a 360, and slid off the ramp. Parts of her car from headlights to front end and bumper littered the roadside, but thank God she was totally unharmed. Her car is in a shop but she is home safe in bed now. Life is a carnival <sigh>.

I was there and watched it again when I got home. There is something special about football in a blizzard...

Nice to see you today, Eric! -
I agree. Your reply has nothing to do with what I said.

Should I wear my Gabe Northern jersey tomorrow?
rockpile replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wear FIVE of them. Chill factor is -8 now, I believe. See you in a couple hours. I think a bowling ball shot may be in order! -
Don't confuse the issue with facts! I will miss you at the Tailgate, Lori. Me and Babyrock are going with Jack and Jay. Hope you feel better soon!

I do not mind evangelists. I DO mind having someone's beliefs thrown at me like a pie in the face repeatedly. I also think somewhere in that book Jesus said to knock on every door, but if no one was home, try the next door. SOME evangelists think He said kick the door down. Peace

Yes, it is stupid to quietly follow your religious and moral beliefs (whatever they are) instead of putting them aside for cash money.

Hope to see you Sunday, Harriett!

I was at the home opener this year with my wife, son, and two daughters. We arrived on Saturday (I think this makes four years in a row), the last three with a pop-up trailer. My oldest daughter can't make it to the games, but I try to take her and the five grandkids to Training Camp every year. They will be 4th generation Bills fans. My grandson is a linebacker and just started wrestling. I'll be at the game Sunday, hopefully with my daughter (Babyrock) who is a very knowledgeable fan and great friend. We started the 'two day home opener'. My father started me as a fan when the Bills and AFL were new. I will be wearing his 1962 Bills Boosters coat, and do my best to carry on the Bills tradition!

Which is it? I know you just registered recently, but if you have been coming here for years, you would know many (most?) of the fans here are not football experts. I do not claim to be an expert, just a long time fan. Try to be less insulting, "champ", and pay more attention to grammar, punctuation and spelling, before expecting me to accept you as a 99 percentile football expert. OK?

OTOH, their success with the QB draft has been shining! For some reason, either management does not know what a QB looks like, OR they just are not willing to pay for one, especially with no OL.
-
No, you did something right, and much appreciated!

I try very hard to remember this but sometimes I forget. When I am at work, I do not want my PERSONAL cell phone to ring - especially in meetings. To answer the original question, if people are tards they are tards. The same people text on their phones, while fixing their hair, blasting their radio, picking sesame seeds out of their teeth, stretching a traffic light changing from yellow to red by ten seconds, while eating a sandwich and holding hot coffee in their crotch. Can't blame the technology. Kind of like a "guns don't kill people...." scenario.

As a fan, sitting the stars, playing a terrible second half, and losing the game means you basically ripped me off. The Bills did this against Detroit in their 12-4 SB season. Detroit sucked but they won (I think) 15-12 and I really felt cheated, since I only can make one or two games a year. Also, the Lions played Barry Sanders all game and sat Thurman, which probably cost TT the NFL rushing title. It also either bumped the Bears from the playoffs or screwed up their playoff "seed" (1st round bye or home field). Mike Ditka was foaming at the mouth,

I thought they were as boring as they have been for much of the season. Brohm played as well as Edwards or Fitzpatrick played. Incognito said summed up the offensive line, when he said he did not even know all of their last names. The entire team played poorly today - you left out special teams! Oh yeah, too late to spoil the perfect season. Next week is this year's first blackout.
