  1. The fact that is is clearly disliked for no real reason by, I don't know, 90% of black media members, maybe? Christ, Dominique Foxworth said on an ESPN show that he didn't like Allen because the type of people who do "have American flags and pictures of their dogs in their Facebook profiles." Pull your head out of the sand and read between the lines.
  2. This has nothing to do with NYC producers disliking Allen because he plays in Buffalo. Allen has always been treated poorly by the media because he had the audacity to be drafted ahead of Lamar Jackson, which idiots view as an act of overt racism. Kirk Cousins gets the same treatment because he unseated RG3. Let's be honest with what is happening here.
  3. Never-ending greed is ruining this league; I can't think of one change under Goodell's tenure that has truly made the game better. If (a BIG if) the Bills can somehow win a Super Bowl soon, the time I spend watching the NFL is going to drop precipitously. Nowhere near as fun to watch as it was before that stooge entered the picture.
  4. I think it's a stretch to call this a mentally tough team, sorry. They won an important game on the road against a comparable opponent; it wasn't a Douglas-Tyson type moment.
  5. That's the vaunted McDermott prevent. Designed to avoid giving up the huge play in favor of giving up significant chunks of yardage to a team with multiple timeouts. When it works, we hold them to a long FG try that always is good and then let the chips fall in OT, where we lose. But it's a respectable loss.
  6. Everyone making the 2021 comparisons seems to forget that the last four games that season were a cakewalk compared to the five they probably have to win over the next month this year.
  7. Hard to believe we're pretty much out of the playoffs and looking up at multiple teams who are no choice but to play backup QBs for long stretches. A wasted season, during the first year in Allen's career where there are no AFC teams without major flaws.
  8. I thought the same thing watching the game. Collinsworth and Tirico were apoplectic about the non-calls on the PI's because they didn't benefit the Chiefs and golden boy Mahomes. When the Bills play games that seem borderline-fixed, the announcers are just like, "Tough call on the Bills there" after something egregiously bad and then change the subject immediately.
  9. McDermott's sole OT win was that blizzard game where he was 100% playing for a tie.
  10. Russell Wilson continuing to win games on the last drive where no play goes further than four yards can't last.
  11. Crappy officiating is a feature, not a bug, of the NFL. The league could fix it if they wanted to, and they don't.
  12. That hit the ground, am I wrong? How do we still not have a definitive idea of what a catch is after 100+ years of NFL football?
  13. I thought he never had possession. Seeing an identical play in the Sunday night game actually get called a fumble irked me, though. There's no consistency. If you need to complete the catch, why was that 3rd down conversion on Denver's last drive against us not only counted as a completion, but ruled forward progress when the ball (almost immediately) came out?
  14. What incentive would McD have to do this? If he's fired, they have to pay him the remainder of his current deal.
  15. I like the basic idea of the plan, but this is something that takes months to implement, not a few days.
  16. That kick could've only been made against the Bills. Also, that was McDermott's second awful timeout that half, the other being on the drive where Allen was in the zone, the Philly defense was reeling, and he inexplicably called one when we were inside the 5. Killed all the momentum, before we miss a chip-shot FG. Infuriating.
  17. 2014 Bills team with Marrone/Whaley/Pettine with Allen and Diggs would finish with a MUCH better record than this team will.
  18. Let's be honest...that's what McDermott is. All the coaches we've criticized never had the talent McDermott has. Put Allen on the Mike Mularkey 2004 Bills - that team possibly wins the Super Bowl. Put Allen on any Jauron teams that went 7-9 every year with Losman/Edwards - those teams make the playoffs annually. Doug Marrone's 2014 Bills that went 9-7 with a lights-out defense and Kyle Orton - that team goes deep into the playoffs. Rex Ryan took Mark Freaking Sanchez to the AFC Championship twice. What does he do with Allen? Why does this guy continue to get credit for turning the team around when it's clearly a case of him simply getting a HOF QB by chance? How many games does his defense have to blow? How many more stupid timeouts? How many more?
  19. Detroit always gets too much flack for "ruining" his career. He got to play in six playoff games, and his stats during the postseason left a LOT to be desired.
  20. It was hilarious when he abandoned the Bills because he thought he was getting the Jets job, only for that to fall through and the Jets coach actually ending up with his job.
  21. Our run game can be excellent when we stay between the tackles and give the backs the ball from plays where Allen is under the center.
  22. I'm not even sure I want to watch this current iteration of the Bills go to the postseason again. God only knows what kind of horrific choke job they'd manage to pull out of their hats in a playoff game.
  23. It's a loss that's gotten lost in the shuffle (especially after 13 Seconds), but that playoff loss in Houston was inexcusable and a huge precursor to the loser, choke-artist ball to which the Sean McDermott Bills teams have become accustomed.
