  1. I'm sure they won't completely regret that deal before Thanksgiving.
  2. The number of people who think it is fine to chronically underachieve today just because the Bills had a playoff drought that ended over five seasons ago is ridiculous. Let's be real here...McDermott backed into the playoffs at 9-7 in 2017 (same record we had in 2014 and 2004 - two markedly better teams that simply didn't luck into the postseason), was abysmal in 2018, and then the QB they likely settled for morphed into possibly the most naturally-gifted talent ever seen at the position. You think Rex Ryan or Doug Marrone or Chan Gailey aren't making yearly playoff trips with Allen? Marrone went to the AFCCG with Blake Bortles and Ryan went there twice with Mark Sanchez. This losers' attitude that we should be grateful just to be in constant playoff contention is the type of thought process that led Cincinnati to waste a decade with Marvin Lewis.
  3. There were zero real sacks in that game, correct? I think Hurts ran out of bounds one time before the line of scrimmage, so that technically counted, but no real pocket sacks. Allen would feast in that environment. As it stands, either one of those teams' defensive line would've steamrolled us.
  4. His seat is significantly warmer now than when Frazier was hired.
  5. Those Colts teams wildly underachieved and ultimately only got a title because NE uncharacteristically melted down against them in the AFCCG before a Super Bowl where they got to go against Rex Grossman. Lotta Dungy-McDermott similarities.
  6. The NFL season/playoffs have already been perverted enough.
  7. McDermott probably isn't bringing in anyone that could potentially become his replacement down the road.
  8. I don't want to criticize him too much, because he went through something traumatic and his emotions are probably all over the place, but his decisions to both constantly shield his face and play into the conspiracy theories on social media (taking picture in front of his mural with face completely obscured, captioned "Clone") are pretty bizarre. What is the point of that?
  9. The school of thought that it's okay to consistently underachieve now because we really sucked a decade ago is bizarre to me.
  10. They can spare me with this stuff. You played one fewer game than virtually everyone else. You were at home. You showed no heart whatsoever. There's something weird going on with this team mentally, and it has nothing to do with Hamlin or blizzards. Tough to put my finger on, but it's there. Wonder if there's some type of infighting we're unaware of.
  11. They are a soft, finesse team that routinely gets pushed around by more physical squads. Allen is enough to still get them on the right side of the scoreboard during the regular season, but in the playoffs, it's only a matter of time before a tougher team with better coaching dispatches them. I'm of the opinion that they're mentally weak as well much of the time. Always look frantic and out-of-sorts.
  12. Still the record holder for the most receiving yards (240 against Miami) in a playoff game. You're gonna be really shocked here, but the Bills found a way to lose that game.
  13. I hope these guys wouldn't resort to this type of behavior in a playoff game. Like - off the top of my head - a divisional round matchup where you need a big kick to force overtime, for example.
  14. And Darick Holmes game and Thurman Thomas game. The running game went absolutely apeshit in this one.
  15. I've always thought it was lame. It's also attracted a certain element to the fan base that cares more about social media posting than the actual outcomes of the games. Lotta similarities to the pink hat Red Sox era.
  16. Domes suck and are totally depressing. Taking the AFCCG out of possibly Arrowhead or Buffalo is an abomination, which is why I'm not remotely surprised that was the decision Goodell went with.
  17. The ability to assess the situation, realize he needed CPR, clear his jersey and shoulder pads from his chest, and begin treatment - all in about 20 seconds - is nothing short of remarkable.
  18. Dude, I am repeating exactly what Taylor said yesterday and what McDermott said like three hours ago.
  19. He deferred to McDermott and McDermott deferred to the Bills tram captains. It was our decision, 100%.
  20. And the Bills were the ones who decided to stop play. The Bills left town immediately, ensuring there could be no make-up the following night. Why should anyone else be more negatively affected by our decision than us? It was the right choice, but it is one that comes with a certain unfortunate consequence too.
  21. They absolutely will if the Bills beat the Bengals in Buffalo in the divisional round. Everyone will remember that they were beating us before we made the decision to not continue playing. Everyone will rightfully think it was unfair that they were never given a chance to jump us in the standings.
  22. Bills need to forfeit the Bengals game. It's one of the only results that doesn't compromise the integrity of the playoffs, since a potential Buffalo-Cincinnati game would be played in Cincy, like the game this past week should've been. If we somehow end up with a bye and/or homefield, any Super Bowl victory will have a giant asterisk.
  23. If this is the concrete rule, then why are they still talking about reconfiguring the playoffs? Goodell is going as the wind blows, per usual.
  24. This is the Goodell way. Indecisive about any choice needed to be made before arbitrarily pulling a decision out of his ass on the fly. That being said, it is still truly insane that they don't have some concrete rule regarding a game that cannot be played or made-up. An injury like we saw on Monday is extremely rare, but something like lightning taking out power in a stadium wouldn't be a wild occurrence. An event like that happening in the last week of the season would put them in a similar predicament.
  25. No, I have said multiple times that they made the right call. Some of you have deluded yourself into thinking the Bills should be rewarded for the incident, though (e.g. giving both teams a win for the game). That's not going to happen, nor should it.
