  1. ...says Uncle Monkey Head
  2. I usually ignore posts like this but this time I'm saying something. I really hate post like this. Why can't you just give your opinion and save all the "not sure if any of you can read" BS? There were 5 comments prior to your post and you start saying things about "putting down the pitchforks". Then after your ridiculous lecture you're going to say C'mon kids, grow up. You actually had some very good points in your post and could have actually been taken seriously. Totally uncalled for and frankly boring.
  3. Relax Cookie Monster. I just stated where all that's coming from.
  4. It's been on the bottom ticker on both ESPN and the NFL network since last night. I believe Ian Rapoport reported it first.
  5. To me it's about one thing, if EJ's knee is ready to go he starts. I wouldn't even entertain the idea of Kolb playing well enough to let EJ rest one more week. If EJ's not quite ready and Kolb plays terrible Kolb plays anyway. If EJ's healthy and Kolb lights it up, EJ starts. Thus for me making this game irrelevant. What were your thoughts on this game possibly changing your vote?
  6. All legendary uniforms above us in the ranking. The cool part is there's several legendary one's behind us.
  7. EJ is going to be fine. My hunch is EJ starts week 1.
  8. That folks is an incredible waste of time.
  9. He needs to work on running a bit more manly too. Good lord.
  10. There should be penalties for backing out of interviews if you think it's only because of the rule.
  11. The amazing thing for me is he did it with another set of receivers in this game and without our best receiver suiting up. Manuel will be loaded up with weapons. The run game has been fantastic and will only allow him to further develop. I'm optimistic we can be a .500 club now.
  12. One more vote for the good guys.
  13. Now that's just hurtful and mean. Haha
  14. I agree with this. Where the OP got that Smith was the one that "completely blasted" the Bills is beyond me.
  15. These two portions kind of confused me in your post. I think pre season games are extremely important. IMO the confusion centers around what are the games important for. Evaluating players is what pre season games are all about. Creating cultures of winning and things like that are not what pre season should be for. If they are you're desperate or you're solely relying on emotion to help you win. I would never discount the importance of a winning attitude or the idea that emotion doesn't help (especially in football). But what you need to win in the NFL is a QB good enough to beat the other team. To go beyond having a reasonable opportunity to beat the other team you build around that QB.
  16. Saw him on Hard Knocks with the Bungals.
  17. I am surprised Bart Scott has not been brought in. He'd be a nice run stopping LB to add to our team.
  18. I'm always surprised that Nix gets maligned for bringing the guy in to talk. His agent got a call from SD talking big money and they took off in a hurry. That's the extent of our interest as far as any of us know.
  19. He wouldn't sign here. Free agents only sign with contenders, a long history of winning, and good weather cities.
  20. The QB battle isn't staged but the stage is being set the proper way. It would be grossly unprofessional for Marrone to share with fans, the media, or the players who he would like to see win the battle. If we could get a glimpse inside his mind or slip Marrone some truth serum I'd be disappointed if he didn't have a heavy lean towards his 1st round QB as he should.
  21. McKelvin's contract is actually $4.25 mil per year the original report of 4 years $20 million proved to be incorrect. I disagree that he couldn't have gotten a similar contract in the open market. Us fans tend to be more critical of our own players especially first round picks that don't develop into great players. In saying that I do believe winning teams keep players or sign players of McKelvin's skill set. He's not a bum, he's a nice player and these kind of players are necessary.
  22. No there wasn't the same energy with Jauron or Gailey, that's what I'm saying. They didn't have a 6'5" rookie QB that throws rockets. Don't get me wrong I like Doug Marrone but I think you'll be forced to agree, if it's Marrone and Kolb/T. Jackson fighting for the starting QB gig it wouldn't be the same. You'd like Marrone and the change he seemed to bring, but that fire you're feeling is coming from none other than EJ Manuel.
