  1. That does look pretty amazing. Winning will be the catapult to the Bills getting or not getting a stadium.
  2. No one can blame you for your decision to temper your enthusiasm and we all know and understand the reasons why. Like I said before, in reality our emotions have no effect on whether the team moves forward or not. But I want to convince you to get excited. If not for any other reason - E.J. Manuel. We drafted a QB fellow Bills fan and he passes the eye test. This is something very unusual to get excited about unlike the past. The unknown of Edwards was the last time I had the opportunity to fathom a franchise QB. I never thought that guy was Fitz. But we know have a new lease on excitement with Manuel. For me E.J. is the primary reason but here's why I'm particularly ecstatic; All the great QB's in the league seem to have a great relationship with their head coach. Marrone seems like the ideal coach to build relationships with players. I believe he commands respect and the players will fear him a little but will also love him. I also believe E.J. is the relationship type player. Then the secondary reasons for my renewed enthusiasm is Pettine, the new wide receivers along with Stevie, our great running game, and the young Hackett.
  3. We all want them to "show us". I guess it's just a matter of what do you want to do in the meantime and I respect both ways. Optimism doesn't effect anything nor does not getting excited until/if it happens.
  4. Does anyone think he can beat out Da'Rick? Then we would have Stevie, Brad Smith, a 2nd year player , and 3 rookies. Or does Brad Smith get cut? Then we would have Stevie, Graham, and 4 Rookies (including Da'Rick). Tough call right now. Maybe they he could take one of the TE's roster spot, but it would be hard to start the season with only 2 true tight ends.
  5. We are all eagerly anticipating EJ, but let's take it easy a little bit.
  6. I don't think he'll ever get another chance after this. I started to feel sad for the kid but really I'm glad for the hard working young man that is putting the time in that's going to get his roster spot wherever that is.
  7. I do think EJ gets the ball out of his hands quickly but this video appears to be in fast forward mode making everything appear faster. The other thing I really like about EJ's throwing is he's tall and throws tall.
  8. It's the second day of rookie camp. And how do you know he's "not catching on"? Did you see him out there?
  9. What's the air velocity speed of a swallow?
  10. I wouldn't be shocked but he would have to beat out Brad Smith and Kevin Elliot based on the assumption they keep 6 WR's. His other opportunity is if Da'Rick Rogers isn't locked into a roster spot. I'd also have to challenge that all of them definitely have "more skills" than Easley. He can't stay healthy but he has talent.
  11. That guy was great and what he did was even better.
  12. We need a true #1 receiver.
  13. Jim Kelly Bruce Smith Thurman Thomas Marv Levy But I can think of about 6 more combinations.
  14. A lot of folks believe he'll be available in the 3-3.5 million per range. I think it'll take more like 3 years 15 million and about half guaranteed.
  15. At first I couldn't stand that Sunday Night Song, then it started growing on me and I find myself singing it in my head.
  16. I enjoyed that. There was certainly a lot of smiles and hand shaking going on. If nothing else it appears they accomplished what they wanted to.
  17. This is exactly right, great post.
  18. Great quote from Davis. I can see where you got the notion he's kicking himself.
  19. Don't you know the world is looking for an active playing superstar to be gay?
  20. Marone doesn't seem like the type of guy that concedes to anything. I doubt that he has a preconceived notion that "we aren't going anywhere this year". If EJ doesn't win the starting job and we don't go anywhere with Kolb wouldn't that be the time to bring in EJ? If we go with your premiss, and Marrone already knows we aren't going to win this year, why wouldn't it be a real possibility he'd play him immediately?
  21. This is a very interesting topic and a valid concern. I really don't know who will be leaders. I think Byrd, Gillmore, and Mario will lead with their play but don't stike me as vocal leaders. Typically you look to your middle LB's so here's hoping Bradham's got it in him. My guess is Pettine will coach someone through a leadership role unless he gets the opportunity to bring someone in. Looking at Kiko's play he seems like a spark plug type player and is probably the future leader.
  22. I like the possibility of him.
  23. I think LT was the best but Derrick Thomas was awesome. I believe if he would have played a few more years he would have been the all time best.
  24. In late March he said we have the 4th worst roster in the NFL, now we "could be one of the most exciting offenses in 2013"? I vehemently disagreed with his article about our roster and I can't take him seriously now. Psycho! http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000154500/article/nfls-five-weakest-rosters-jacksonville-jaguars-at-top
  25. Buddy has to say those things and I think it has very little to do with messages to Dansby. I think it has everything to do with placating to us the fans. Could you imagine if Buddy said "We are still trying to work on a deal with Karlos. We think it would be beneficial to have our rookie learn and then work his way into a starting role with a greater knowledge and refined skills of the game at the NFL level." Then we don't sign Dansby. What would he say then? "Hey forget all what I said this rookie is ready and can do all the same things as this very productive proven vet."
