  1. I agree Boyst. Coupled with what you've posted - the possibility for improvement lives in that environment. In season improvement is something we haven't seen in many years.
  2. We were weak at WR, c'mon and RB is still a strength when your #1 is one of the best in the game. The run game results have changed (blocking scheme, injuries) but we weren't strong because of our backup
  3. It's all of the above. The NFL did a great job of locking in the hard core viewer and luring in the casual fan. You push push push on fans and eventually you push them out. The core football fans will put up with almost everything - ticket prices, idiot players, dumb penalties, terrible guys/gals calling the game, hideous online coverage, bad leadership/decisions by the league, etc. However the casual fan can break away easier and find something else to do. The anthem thing is damaging and it's not even about that actual act but within that act is a disdain for the fans/customer. The owners and commissioner quickly recognized this and are trying to put a stop to it but the players want it. They are mad that they aren't allowed to upset the customer and just don't get it. What Sterling Sharpe and Greg Jennings said last night was absolutely ignorant. They literally cannot understand how the fans are linked in this.
  4. You're missing it. It won't go away so long as people perpetuate a false narrative. It's not about truth or if it's going to/is better. It's about making sure people hold on to their anger by people that benefit from the anger.
  5. It's amazing that he's stupid enough to think people don't label Rogers and Carr as mobile. Hey dummy, they are mobile and are also great at passing in the pocket. That's what we want you to do. This moron thinks his "lack of statistical production" (as the article said) - is because it's not actually true and is only being said because he's black? Wow! How are black QB's held to a higher standard when they are automatically thought of as only mobile (according to him)? That would be a lower standard - that would mean people automatically do not expect them to be pocket passers. His argument doesn't make any sense. This is an example of why incorrectly inserting race hurts the AA community - it causes people to become deaf to their hope to be heard and muffles the voices that need to be heard.
  6. Taylor discussed the notion that most African-American passers are labeled as “mobile” while noting that white quarterbacks such as Aaron Rodgers and Derek Carr — who are both athletic — get labeled as pocket passers. “They claim that we’re not that accurate from the pocket. I’m not sure why,” Taylor said. “Even though they’re ‘mobile’ guys, they don’t necessarily take on the same criticism as others. It probably is unfair.” The whole premise doesn't make sense. Wouldn't this mean they'd be held to a lower standard?
  7. The real problem with this team is the strength and conditioning coach. These injuries don't happen to other teams. Imagine the career Charles Clay could have had with a team that doesn't take things like this as lightly.
  8. And an even better individual.
  9. Yeah what's with 225? That still sucks in most cases.
  10. You're aware we play the same teams as everyone in our division, right? The outcome won't be determined in week 8 either and if it's going sideways than it inevitably will - not because of week 7 and 8 results.
  11. Is this like the Wall of Fame thread? Good one matter2003.
  12. I would say no. I think McDermott is reaching the defense and has them motivated. The defense will play well most of the year but the offense just isn't good enough anywhere beyond Shady and he can't play at his best.
  13. 7 games is just a bit early for a tipping point for me in either direction.
  14. They aren't giving up a 3rd to take on that whopper contract, so you're going to be mad in less than 2 weeks.
  15. I'd go ahead get a head start on being aggravated because what you wish for isn't even reasonable.
  16. I think at 6'1" Tyrod cannot see well enough. I know there's a few QB's that height but they must do a better job of creating sight lines. I think his lack of height is a real problem for him.
  17. I'll agree with you on the offensive side of the ball. We're talented on defense.
  18. What two or more significant moves would you make by Tuesday? Or give us an example of what you mean using player names in a hypothetical scenario.
  19. The WR's suck and Tyrod is even worse. Not a good combo. Tyrod can't get it done with viable WR's - how is it supposed to work with no WR's? If you're not wide open and his first option - Tyrod can't get the ball to you. It's a lot to expect out of this group of WR's.
  20. 25% of the season is a pretty good "sample". To know a pie is good you have to eat more than a 4th of it? Are you familiar with the word sample?
  21. Seeing as the coaches have been correct on most of their decisions - this is awfully disappointing. A good team needs draft picks like this to become very good.
  22. What a frustrating topic. Why fans can't find themselves in the middle where the truth lies is mind boggling.
  23. I'm not saying he's wrong for clapping or shouldn't. I'm merely pointing out why some fans react to it differently because of emotion. Have I not been clear?
  24. People have different personalities and the extreme personalities want others to react the same as they do. If Zay drops a pass and a fan goes nuts - they want to see the coach being disappointed like they are. If they see him clapping - they say - "what the heck is he clapping for".
