Joe Burrow huge extension 5 years $275 million now highest paid QB
ganesh replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
Or if he wins the SB. Then his desk will be refine to make him the highest paid QB in the nfl -
Random talking head says something about the Bills
ganesh replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agreed. And this whole thing may be scripted by TV and force Bucky yo say what he said -
I also believe the bengals played the game to their strengths. They ran the ball, threw the ball quick and harassed Allen.

With the Bills off today, which game are you focusing on and why?
ganesh replied to Nextmanup's topic in The Stadium Wall
Same here. Having lived in the burgh for over a dozen years (with my kids hardcore Steelers fans) the Steelers are always in the back burner -
This team has its A** whopped last year in the divisional round for them to carry any type of complacency into this season. They are the MIGHTY UNDERDOGS when compared to the Chiefs and the Bengals. This team may not look the same next year and in that there is a sense of urgency in the veterans to go all out.

There is plenty of evidence that they will be extremely good again. * Last year They lost a total of three games by a net 8 points. * Last year They lost critical players to injuries and it hurt them when it mattered (playoffs) * This year those critical players are coming back from their injuries * This year the Bills are going to give a deeper look to some of the talent they have stockpiled - Cook, Kincaid, Cyrus * This year we have a different mindset to the defense with a new DC Can Allen avoid the critical redzone mistakes Can the defense stop the run Can the coaches leverage the talent and put the best players on the field to execute. Go Bills! The key is going to have our coaching staff have the ability to put all of young players on the field; folks who have the raw speed and abiiities. We can't be a sit and watch type of team scraping through wins.

New hype video with Chris Berman, or is it a Zippo commercial?
ganesh replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
Swami's pick. Loved those weekly prediction during the season -
Don't undermine the hard work they have to do every day to make that show available to you. It is not like they are winging it. These people are giving expert opinions to pull certain demographics towards the show. For that they have to do their analysis to understand how the content they are providing is relatable to that demographics. There is ton of hard work to be done to make the show. Plus they are a few hundreds from a wannabe's of thousands who graduate with a journalism degree every spring.

Is this Bills team better than the 2020/2021/2022 versions?

Sheffield/Harty also may provide the surprise punch -
Last year we were the darlings after disposing of the SB champion and then wins against AFC Powerhouses Baltimore and Titans....The Miami last second loss put a damper and then the loss to the Jets put a skid and a lot of disbelief. That is how it goes... It was the same the prior season too...We were 3rd placed in the AFC and could be missing the playoffs with a potential loss to the Patriots...and then they had to reel of 5 straight wins to become the division champion

I agree..In the 90s the main NFL program was watching the pre-game shows on ESPN, NBC, CBS and Fox. On ESPN, you would get to see the "NFL Matchup" and then at 7:30 PM EST you would get NFL Primetime. We used to sit waiting to watch the NFL Primetime (especially fi the Bills won) before switching to Sunday Night Football.

All because NFL has become a 24/7/265 Product on Television with very ratings even on its rainy day !!!! It is the only sport that creates buzz for Shepherding cheap labor (College players) Draft to sign and lock up the cheap labor Rookie Mini-Camp Mandatory Mini Camp Applying Franchise Tag, Transition Tag Owners Meeting Training Camp Hall of Fame Game Hall of Fame Enshrinement 1st Pre Season Game Starters prep Pre season game Making the 53-man roster Announcing the captains of the squad Season Opener Preview Fantasy Drafts Season Opener Sunday Night Football Monday Night Double header Thursday Night Football Pink Month (Breast Cancer Awareness) Thanks Giving Football Saturday Night Football Flex Scheduling Final Playoffs candidates Fantasy super bowl Announcement of Pro Bowl Candidates Super Wildcard Weekend Divisional Round Conference Championship Meaningless Pro Bowl competition HoF candidate announcement Super Bowl Sunday SB MVP goes to Disney All Pro Ballots Clearing out Lockers Players going to their favorite Holiday spots Probably missing a few others...but the point is the NFL is broken down into so many chapters with each one garnering national attention on a daily basis. Go Bills !

What about Coaching? I think they are going to make the biggest difference to this team. -
The Jets beat us by 3 points and lost to us by 4 points. the games were very close...they had crap at the QB position. They have a fantastic defense and now. a great QB. I think our games against them are going to be super tough. Their front seven have stopped the run very efficiently and made teams one dimensional.

Buffalo Bills projected to be #2 in 2023 DVOA
ganesh replied to Slippery Rubber Mats's topic in The Stadium Wall
That will go away only when the Bills beat the Bengals in November! Dak has always showed up. It is the team around him that has failed him at critical times. Somewhat similar to what Allen is going through -
Josh played some of his memorable games on white-on-white...Thanksgiving at Dallas and the 13 seconds ignomy.
-
Disagree. Von Miller had 8 sacks before tearing his ACL. He dominated the game against the Rams and then against the Chiefs. You don't win those games without his contribution. The DE is that critical to have a super star.
-
We had a great OL with the 90's team...they were opening holes for Thomas or blocking down the field for Andre. Without a good to great OL we will not win the Superbowl.
-
They were winning may games with the blue-on-blue combination last year.
-
And we have to wait one more day on the regular season plate...The anticipation for the MNF game would be telling.

Will boogie basham be the next Wyatt Teller for Beane?
ganesh replied to Coldfronts's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Giants usually have a good scheme with pass rushing and it is possible they may put him in a position to get 1-on-1 matchups and may be Boogie will make it to the next level. -
The bills on the road playoff record is 0-4 with losses at Jax, Houston, twice to chiefs and a bad loss at home to the bengals. they barely beat the colts, ravens and the dolphins. the bills have to fix their playoff woes.
