I wouldn't mind Ken Wisenhunt. He coached Ben Rothelisburger in his earlier years...he was the one the Steelers kept when releasing Mularkey.

A lesson learned? It is not all about Defense

What have all those guys to do to stopping the run...The Bills got bull dozed in the 2nd half by the Eagles RBs -
Josh Allen fined for throwing ball into stands
ganesh replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have seen that they pay $250 for keeping the ball or handing it over to a kid...but will be fined in 1000s if theey throw the ball into the stand. -
surprised to see McKenzie be inactive today

I think he has to take care of Poyer, Phillips and Milano before getting to Tre. Tre will be the mega contract while the others will have the huge contract

When was the last time the Bills D scored a TD?

Can't miss the Florence Pick-six in the 2011 WIN. He even made the front cover of SI. -
This would be naturally expected.. Since the Bills have repeatedly finished 3rd or 4th in the AFC East, they get to play the 3rd and 4th placed teams from other divisions in the AFC....Now with playing another AFC Division and a NFC division, it is guaranteed they will play another 4 teams with 3rd and 4th place finishes...so it would only be expected that they play teams with losing records.

Josh Allen fined for throwing ball into stands

I believe he made a comment on that in the interview along with Jim Kelly. I believe it doesn't cost them anything if they hand over the ball to the kid. -
As Bills fan, we will be always proud of our QB and what he does to win Football games. However, the national media looks at him as the whole QB and when you do that, he has failed in several categories. From that perpsective, he is running as an average to below average QB. Consistency is key in the NFL, especially for a young QB.

R Talbot (via ESPN) - bills on the hunt for a WR
ganesh replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We could lose the following starters on defense after this season Shaq Lawson - FA Jordan Phillips - FA Jordan Poyer - FA Alexander - Retiring And the following could get cut: Trent Murphy That is a lot of potential changes to the Defense in 2021 -
They are going to need the TEs and the RBs to chip in on the pass blocking this week. That Eagles front 7 is pretty good!

But unfortunately, the NFL is for Not For Long League...So different rates for different pupil doesn't cut it in today's NFL -

Even Brady cannot win with Nobody's....He still had elite players in Edelman and Rob. Hopefully, the Bills found one in Brown, Colesly and Knox -
He has to show it on the field on a consistent basis...day in day out. His legend will continue to grow as he grows. He has to show that he is cutting down his mental mistakes and playing a mistake free game...He has now done it two weeks in a row...one on the road and one at home. If he continues to do that and put the team in a good position to win, he will win the hearts of the city and the NFL. In 2002, I remember a rookie Big Ben being asked to play a Game Manager while his defense and ST played lights out on their way to the AFC Conference title and the SB next year. Coach Cowher knew how to keep the strong armed QB from making mistakes and play smart football. His stats were not that great...but he never had to do anything like a super hero. Our team needs to do the same...

Physically yes. But those trades/cuts were necessary as those players were over-hyped and over paid. None of them have gone on to be all-pro's for any teams. Agreed. Time will tell Agreed. Beane has tried hard this year on the OL after doing nothing last year. However, the results have been mixed. We are yet to see a solid OL that is winning CONSISTENTLY in the trenches. That is the hallmark of great teams. Our OL play has been underwhelming for the money poured in it. Agreed. They also traded for that Cleveland WR (forget his name) and still we are lagging behind in this spot. Jones did not work out as a high draft pick that also required additional draft capital for a trade up. This is a tricky one. You can't pay 12M to a guy who has under performed. You are setting wrong expectations especially when your stars like Hyde and Poyer are making peanuts. The important point is that Beane is TRYING. If you don't even try, then how do you expect to win. Has he been successful; at this point I would say less than stellar...but if Allen turns out to be a Franchise QB, then all wiill be forgotten. What Beane has done is take the formula of building the team with good draft picks that can last their 4-5 rookie contract. After all a GM and HC get only around 4 years to turn a team around.

Mark Schofield: Precarious Handling of Young Quarterbacks

The way they did this in the old days was easy. They just sat young QBs for a couple of years to learn and adjust to the speed of the NFL. We have lost that ability today in the NFL. We are throwing young QBs to the wolves and the results are not pretty...they are bruised and battered physically and emotionally. they see ghosts walking.... fix the problem by being patient with your young QB...Don't boo him out of your stadium.... -

PFF is failing to mention....Allen related
ganesh replied to Reader's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think he tried that in thee NE game and did not work. He was not able to lead the WR to the spot. Instead he under threw repeatedly and was picked off. Probably the "Ghosts" of NE is haunting him now and we should not "air" it ? -
who cares...just win baby!

It would cost a 1st round pick. I don't think Beane will give up a 1st round pick
