  1. I'm still trying to figure out what he meant by causing defenders to make business decisions. Was he cold calling linebackers about about exciting new opportunities to be their own boss with multi level marketing? Time shares? It sure as hell wasn't making defenders question if they wanted to tackle him.
  2. Terry's first love is hockey so I don't think he's going to sell. I have heard that if it was up to Kim they would have unloaded the Sabres a couple of years ago. There's still only 32 NHL franchises. As long as you have the resources to hold out longer than John Spano, you should make a nice return on selling a franchise. Pegula bought the team for $190 million. The last NHL franchises were sold for $850 and $900 million.
  3. Why wouldn't he? In your estimation, Kraft has retained a mediocre to bad head coach for over two decades. Just imagine what they could have accomplished with a good or even great head coach. Clearly, Kraft doesn't care about winning. QED.
  4. You are tedious and have a poor grasp on the meaning of the word "proves". You have opinions on the matter and they aren't widely held, accepted, or popular amongst fans, players, or experts of the game. By the way Sparano never held a head coaching job again while Belichick coached in 5 more super bowls winning 3 since that season. But sure, if you don't count the 20 year era of utter dominance or his work as a coordinator then hes a pretty lousy coach.
  5. Teams have easy schedules all the time and they don't go 11-5. They sure as f@#$ don't do it with Matt Cassel. Poor offensive mind? Did anyone else watch that Pats offense evolve from the biggest screen package and game management in Brady's early years to the most potent air attack ever with Moss and Welker to the two tight end monster with Hernandez and Gronk to the quick passing attack and power run game? Maybe that offensive success was all because of his brilliant offensive coordinators who had sooo much success everywhere else. Belichick was consistently ahead of the curve and innovating on both sides of the ball for the greatest dynasty the league has ever seen. No other head coach - QB combo has seen remotely the same level of success. He routinely outcoached the league in critical situations whether it be special teams, defense, or offense and all you have to say is "Brady".
  6. Totally disagree. Belichick is a top 5 coach all time no matter how you slice it. Brady wasn't some cant miss, ready to play, prospect. Belichick was an instrumental part of his development and success. The way the offense evolved as Brady gained experience was textbook on how to develop a QB. He was a capable game manager his first few seasons. Brady goes down and he takes Matt Cassel to 11 wins. His teams constantly out perform their level of talent with next level preparation and attention to detail. Pretty much any other coach in the league would have been lucky to to win 6 games with the roster they've fielded post Brady. Its a small miracle he got them to an unreal post season ass kicking in Orchard Park with Mac Jones. And there is no debating that he is one of the best defensive minds to ever walk the sidelines. Buffalo would have a super bowl trophy if not for Belichick and his game plan to slow down the K Gun.
  7. No QB is calling milk checks on Matty Milano
  8. I dare you to say that to his face in a small town.
  9. I turned off the Argentina v South Africa game after RSA went up 2-0. Argentina looked so flat. So of course they came back to score 2 goals in 25 minutes and tie it up. Didn't see that coming.
  10. So now you aren't comfortable discussing pay? Which is strange because you introduced the topic of pay to this thread. By "nonsense" and "distractions" you were clearly only talking about pay. I'm just trying to get to the bottom of why labor issues which were settled a year ago upset you so much that you actively cheer against your own country in international competition. Is Alex Morgan's paycheck coming out of your pocket? Meanwhile nearly every other women's national team represented at the world cup is going through the same thing. https://sports.yahoo.com/the-uswnt-won-equal-pay-the-womens-soccer-world-is-still-fighting-150005810.html You want our women to lose to other women who have the same audacity to fight for pay equity? Your position on pay doesn't make a lot of sense to me, Irv.
  11. You want the US Women to lose because they fought for equal pay to their male colleagues? This went down a year ago and they won! Meanwhile the women are talking about how good it is to have the bargaining issues behind them and their focus on the world cup. Great point. https://theathletic.com/4718111/2023/07/25/alex-morgan-uswnt-equal-pay/ https://www.espn.com/soccer/story/_/id/37628561/uswnt-usmnt-cbas-include-equal-pay-why-us-soccer-new-deals-rewrite-history-books
  12. I'm not sleeping, I'm just resting my eyes on Scherfield/Khalil/Harty. You were saying something abou.....
  13. The 1770s. The aesthetic was unrivaled. People had style and shame back then. Powdered wigs, high heels, knickers that went up to your neck. Everyone was dressed up everywhere they went and you weren't staring at someone's ass crack at colonial Wal Mart. Mozart was rocking out and melting faces. There were few worries beside pirates, indians, and syphilis. Labor was "cheap". People were just starting to think about democracy and human rights but it was still another century before all that woke crap spoiled the party.
  14. There's a support group for all the people too upset by what the blue haired woman said to support their own nation on PPP. You and the other Patriots can actively cheer for the failure of the country there without derailing a thread about the World Cup.
  15. Stick some magazines down the back of your pants or Russ Brandon will pinch your cheeks bloody. Consent is implied in the hospitality tent and the vodka crans flow like wine.
  16. Well he's gotten awfully mouthy now that he can't put a price on a guy's head.
  17. Nothing to worry about. Rodgers has been taking his toad serum and eating 250 mg of mung sap per day which are known for promoting rib health and have only moderate psychotropic side effects.
  18. Totally different game with Lavelle in for Demelo.
  19. I am surprised that Oppenheimer has been received well given the controversial nature of his work, particularly in the current political climate. I really thought it was going to cause uproar given what is happening in school boards across the nation and charged ad campaigns.
  20. Spaghetti is straight until it gets hot and wet...
  21. Only because the less advantaged of the NYC metro region are basically born into gang green fandom. Sports fandom is basically a caste system in New York and Chicago. The haves get Giants, Yankees, Cubs, and Bears and the untouchables get Jets, Mets, White Sox, and #### fighting. Imagine how much more intelligent our fanbase would be if everyone from Cheektowaga was inescapably born a Browns fan.
  22. Between Barbie, Bama Rush, and the T Swift Eras tour, there has never been a more exciting time to be a young, vapid white woman. #WhiteGirlSummer is off the chain!
  23. Not only are you criticizing a movie you have not seen but you are proposing improvements?!? I didn't actually read your whole post but it was stupid and could have been improved by replacing all of the words with new ones.
