  1. Completely wrong, as has been discussed multiple times here. 1. The Rex/Whaley roster got this team to the post season last year. 2. Cap problems were created by Beane. He chose a mountain of dead cap space in 2018. It was not forced on him. 3. Hyde, Poyer, Hughes, KW are absolutely NOT players selected by Beane or McDermott. 4. Team is less talented this year than they were last year. 5. Building a team in free agency hardly sounds like "doing it the right way for the future" but the Process works in mysterious ways. It all hinges on Allen. If he pans out then its all good. If not, total failure. As it stands, the league's 31st worst passing offense has taken a step back in 2018.
  2. Astros v Red Sox game 1 Saturday night. Should be a pretty solid night to be out in Houston.
  3. Most people are staying near the stadium for the game day convenience from what I've seen but theres nothing in that area. That said its an easy uber back to NRG after partying downtown or an easy uber to the tailgate on the morning of the game. Rates at downtown hotels look normal. We can guarantee 2 out of 3!! See you there.
  4. There isn't much of interest near the stadium but there's plenty worth checking out in and around downtown. I put together a big list of where to eat in another thread. Let me see if I can dig it up.
  5. Yes, 2000 Bagby is where we will be. The block party starts at 5PM Saturday night but I'm sure many of us will be out earlier. There are tons of bars in the area that are great for watching college ball too. Check out Little Woodrow's on Brazos a few blocks down. I'll be there. As @The Real Buffalo Joe mentioned, the Houston Bills Backers has a Block Party Saturday night at Christian's Tailgate 2000 Bagby Street on the edge of downtown. What part of town are you staying in?
  6. Incorrect. Most issues with deep frying are due to oil temp being too low as batch after batch gets dropped in the fryer without proper time for temps to rebound. Burnt skin and raw inside would be the tell tale sign for too hot, too fast. Rubbery skin is usually due to frying too low, not long enough, and wet chicken to begin with.
  7. I think it should be settled where each team chooses five players from their opponent to compete against in a Spelling Bee.
  8. If this is going to explode like the marijuana industry and you recommend it as an investment why are you sitting on the sidelines?
  9. How much have you invested?
  10. Looks like you're not very current on your hentai. Octopus/squid get all the girls.
  11. I guess the plan is to rebuild the team next year through free agency but without overpaying for anyone. Good luck with that.
  12. Bulaga is most certainly not at 100%. He was cleared to practice but no way he's full strength. If we can generate the type of push up the middle that we had going against the Vikings, our edge rushers will have a big day.
  13. Yes!! That is Shaq's specialty. Shaq is going feast on Sunday. I predict he finishes with 4.5 sacks. Shaq is still on the team right? I think he is, but I'll double check. IF he is still on the roster, he's going to kill it Sunday! This is the BuffaloRush $5,000 Stone Cold Lock of the Century of the Week!!!
  14. At least this week they crossed the 50 in the first half. Even scored some points! They're a second half team. Truly abysmal clock management there by the Vikes.
  15. Its fun and games until you go back to the fridge for another beer, see that the squid is now gone, only to find it in bed with your wife.
  16. I'm only interested in super models that are PhD candidates. Turns out I may be over estimating my own market value.
  17. Great stuff as usual, Bocephuz. You're a credit to this board.
  18. It was the greatest mentorship the NFL has known since Kevin Kolb taught a young EJ Manuel about water safety.
  19. Bradford and Wentz overlapped for one offseason. Sam was traded before Week 1 of Wentz's rookie year.
  20. Good lord, why?
  21. I expect Pettine to dial up a lot of different pre-snap looks and blitzes for our rookie QB on Sunday.
  22. Whaley was a figurehead GM who was dismissed immediately after the draft. If you think a lame duck GM was allowed to make major decisions shaping the future of the franchise, then I urge you to think again. If you think Russ was making draft day decisions other than which ass to grab after his 3rd vodka cran, then I urge you to think a third time today (take time off for headaches). By all accounts we selected players in that draft that were coveted by the Panthers. There is zero evidence that McD or Beane would have selected Mahomes.
  23. You should probably start saving your s@#$ in little napkin, wrapped bundles until you find the guy(s) who did it and exact your revenge.
