  1. What if it turns out she rubbed the seat down with hand sanitizer before licking it. Does that change your answer? I'm still a yes.
  2. @FireChans got pantsed by @Reed83HOF
  3. Do we need to wait until it happens to prepare our public health systems? Pretty sure the plan here has been "well that kinda ***** doesn't happen in America".
  4. And generally asserting that pushing authority down to the lowest units is best in all situations. Just like how all good organizations work. Lead from behind. Like our military.
  5. I'd bring him in and let him compete with Jordan Reed and Croom for a spot on IR.
  6. Do you think Operation Clean Sweep will be green lit for New Ro or Seattle?
  7. How much healthcare can these people afford? How many days in a hospital are in the budget?
  8. Seriously! Just let mother nature take its course. Its just a bad cold and the at risk would be just as bad off with the flu. Much ado about nothing! How bad could this possibly get? I haven't done any real research but it cant possibly be as bad or costly as shutting down the country for a few weeks
  9. I guess we'll add this to the list of things which you don't understand the "mania" over. Perhaps you just do not understand things that are notable or popular in general? Everything in Italy is shutting down and for absolutely no reason. Why are heads of state acting so irrationally? Why is everyone wrong but us? Pure lunacy.
  10. I know, right? Kinda makes you think its all bullsh!t.... Shutting down the NBA was prudent and justified but they've gone too far suspending the NHL. At least the Sabres won't miss the playoffs again. The drought is over!!!!
  11. Really? We have tested about 10,000 people. You can only get tested if you are experiencing symptoms AND had contact with someone confirmed to test positive or someone who has traveled outside the country. Which means if have symptoms and don't meet the other requirements I'm pretty sure you don't have COVID according to the official stats. If anything, cases are under reported. Jrb: The only way to combat this is to lay low. Also Jrb: I'm going to Disney Land!!!! Those CDC eggheads can't tell me what to do.
  12. The rate ranges depending on how effective containment has been and the strain on local healthcare systems. With a 10% to 20% hospitalization rate for those infected it doesn't take much of an outbreak to push our hospitals to the edge. Then the mortality rate on routine illnesses like ruptured spleens will be nigh 100%.
  13. Its very hard to talk to someone who dismisses the only thing resembling real analysis on the topic as "made up" and suggests a hypothetical based on a number they just pulled out of their own ass. What if there are only double the number of cases? Do you feel better about our government only being off by a factor of 100%? China had 1,000 cases in the early days before they shut down a province until that number turned out to be 70,000.
  14. We probably have 5x-20x the number of announced cases as confirmations lag actual contractions and we simply don't have the testing. One new case in the Houston area today. The guy went to the Rodeo over the weekend where average attendance per day is 50,000 to 70,000. Read the article Hapless posted and look at announced cases vs actual cases.
  15. The handwashers have nothing to worry about. 100% of COVID cases have been linked to people who routinely do not wash their hands.
  16. 1. Its not nearly beaten enough if it can be re-mounted, in any sense of the word. Definitely not by TBD standards. 2. This is completely Roy and Gugny's fault.
  17. Billl does point out a glaring weakness in the rule book. What if a player takes a knee but many years later, on their death bed, wishes to advance the ball? When is a play truly dead? If the return man takes a knee and then changes his mind and decides to run as you have brilliantly laid out, that would be too late since he has already "taken a knee and made no attempt to advance the ball." This scenario is distinctly different than a ball carrier who takes off running, slips and inadvertently has a knee touch the ground while clearly attempting to advance the ball. Comparison to the catch rule is a very poor analogy. The definition of a catch is and has been incredibly subjective. What is a football move? When is possession established? What is control? What qualifies as survives the ground? This subjectivity has plagued the game and driven fans crazy. Luckily, the rules governing dead balls on kickoffs are as clear as can be. Or at least they were until "common sense" was introduced and "logic" prevailed.
  18. I would caveat: THIS specific play was not an automatic review because the head official changed the correct ruling on the field after a 5 minute conference with the backup officials, which is completely unprecedented. And if this play were to have been reviewed the league office would have absolutely have been forced to judge per written rules rather than opine on the intent of the runner. Nope, nothing to see here!!!
  19. Does the fact that the head official changed his ruling on the play after a 5 minute sideline meeting with backup officials instead of allowing video review figure this mess out make anyone feel better about how this went down? What transpired on this play is completely unprecedented. The natural question is: why didn't they let this go to video review? Its common officiating practice on scoring plays and turnovers to put the whistles away and let the sequence play out followed by video review.
