How confident are you going into tonight's game?
Jauronimo replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
In the grand scheme, the only thing that matters is making the playoffs and playing your best football in January. Its hard to keep perspective in a 17 game season where every game is important and every loss could be the difference between hosting games in January, going back to Arrowhead for a 3rd year, or keeping pace with division rivals with easier first half schedules. -
Could Aaron Donald potentially miss Week 1 due to suspension?
Jauronimo replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ik didnt hurt Geno during practice. He busted his jaw off the field and was suspended for violation of the personal conduct policy. I would guess on the field vs off the field is the nuance. -
All of our players have said playing WR in our offense is more complicated than in the Rams system? I'll need to see a source for this. Pretty sure OBJ can figure out a pro offense and run a scramble drill. We are discussing how he fits in the Bills offense which comes with the assumption that hes healthy enough to get on the field and perform at a high level. I am not making any predictions on the timeline of his recovery. Were you discussing how he fits into this offense under the hypothetical that hes still on crutches?

A healthy OBJ would absolutely take snaps away from Shakir, McKenzie, and Crowder. Davis can play all over the field. I think Gabe would feast with OBJ and Diggs on opposite boundaries. A game ready OBJ expands the playbook. OBJ was playing 50 snaps a game after two weeks with the LAR playbook. Injuries have been a factor at WR the past 2 playoff runs. I picture OBJ coming in and going 2 for 2 for 70 yards and a TD in the AFC Championship game and having 4 catches for 80 in a lopsided super bowl victory.

Correct. I worded that poorly. Trying to articulate that its unclear which rookie will get the official start at this time and I expect both Benford and Elam to play meaningful snaps opposite of Jackson. I predict 60/40 Benford over Elam tonight. I do not expect to see Benford and Elam on the field at the same time tonight unless injuries become a factor.

I have changed my answer 12 times in the last 6 seconds. Is "All of the above" an acceptable answer? -
My concern isn't about losing Levi as much as it is starting two rookies while Tre'Davious is out. But I liked what I saw in preseason and what I have read so far about Benford and Elam. They'll get toasted here and there but they have good safety help and I expect to see a legit pass rush this year. Plus Edmunds, who is basically still a rookie, is projected to be an amazing coverage linebacker.

We can't go 0-6 in 1 score games. In fact, its remarkable we we lost every one score game. I do not expect that trend to continue. Having a true closer on D will make a world of difference. I think this defense with Von and the improved interior Dline can take a lot of pressure off of Allen. I probably should be worried about secondary but Levi and Dane held their own with Tre out of the lineup and I don't think Benford and Elam are a downgrade from Wallace. McD//Frazier's scheme puts our CBs in position to succeed. My big concern remains the offensive line. Last year, this was the reason for the slow start on Offense. Talent wise, slight edge to this year's line. Continuity and injuries remain an issue.

Any deal we sign him to will be a 2 month rental with virtually no risk. He gets to ring chase and we get a risk-free option on big play OBJ. If hes back to 90% speed by the playoffs, just having him out there for 10 snaps a game to give the defense something to think about is worth it in my opinion He jumped in and immediately played meaningful snaps in LA while having no time with their playbook. Look at Week 11 and beyond. https://www.lineups.com/nfl/snap-counts I get the idea of disruption of the core offense but hasn't been much of an issue in Tampa or LA where great receivers joined teams with already potent offenses.

Remind me why you're so defensive over criticism of Michael Irvin?

1 prime spot, please. Looking forward to it.

Remember when he "had that dog in him!" ? That dog was ol yeller and he got taken out behind the shed before the season even started. I still don't understand why everyone thought that was so funny.

He also picked Kirk Cousins for league MVP....

I was looking through the stadium plans and then it clicked: can El Pegual really own TWO NFL stadiums at the same time (Highmark and the new one)? I know its in the same market but it seems like its playing fast and loose with league bylaws. I know this question came up a lot when he bought the team and no one really knew the answer.

How much of a drop off is Ken Dorsey from Brian Daboll (if any)?

When do you typically get big game, game day anxiety?

The anxiety is different now than it was during the drought when you were just hoping they could back into a wild card spot. And its different now than it was when we went to the AFC Championship. Even in that season, that level of success was mostly unexpected but still we recognize that such opportunities are rare. Right now the Buffalo Bills are in a super bowl or bust window. This should be the best Bills team that will take the field since the early 90s and anything short of that will be a disappointment. Its going to be hard to remember that no one game weeks 1 through 18 means that much and the goal is to peak in January. -
The movie is too scattered and rushed. The villain is barely established so the final battle doesn't have the build up and the payoff is low as a result. They took all the silliness of Ragnarok and kept none of the seriousness or story.

I was hoping he would come back to where it all began and switch back to TE.

I get it that Clifford is a senior (again) and Franklin will let him play out his final year (again!), but Clifford is regressing and the offense relies on big plays. Unlike when they had Dotson and Hamler, last nights big plays were mostly a result of poor tackling. Its not sustainable. Dr. Clifford MD has been with the team for 6 years and has no chance at earning a dime playing football in any semi-pro league out there. When he left the field last night, I was pretty sure it was because his parents saw him still doing this football thing and called the sideline and told him to grow up and go get a job. At what point do they let the kid play and move on to the next chapter?
-
Clifford needs to go get a real job like every other 30 year old. The freshman looked poised and ready to play. He stands tall in the pocket and scans the field while Cliffy has happy feet and generally chooses one side of the field to throw to. Let the kid play!! Penn state has the most predictable offense in CFB. Run, run, pass, punt. I don't know if its bad Oline play or scheme but the woes in the run game continue. It would be nice to see them test the boundary once and a while instead of running everything right up the gut.

I had something similar. Bought concert tickets with friends and then the NFL season came out. I thought about it for 2 mins and put my tickets up for sale. But now the concert was postponed until March!

First ever Buffalo home game- MNF against Titans
Jauronimo replied to McBean's topic in The Stadium Wall
That sauce has nothing to do with Texas. Its greek diner all the way. I believe the legend is the greek americans made some quasi traditional condiment and marketed it as Texas hots since it resembled hot dogs with texas chili on top. I'm sure in those days that was more marketable than calling it tzakopoulatoulis dogs or something. I've been living in Texas for the past 7 years and no one gives a ***** about hotdogs and I haven't seen sauce like it anywhere. The sauces you get on garbage plates, coney dogs, detroit dogs is all greek as well. https://www.tedshotdogs.com/shop/featured-items/ https://roadfood.com/bests/texas-hots/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coney_Island_hot_dog -
That seems a little rich for Tage but I don't know NHL contracts nearly as well as NFL. Glad he's sticking around but one year of production concerns me.
