The criticism is of the following three varieties, all of which are unfair in my opinion since they're still based on minimal information: 1. The Bills should have known about the allegations pre-draft. This assumes it was widely known or knowable pre-draft. 2. The Bills should have taken immediate action after they found out about the accusations over the summer. This assumes that in July they had access to all the details contained in the civil suit. 3. The Bills waited too long after the the news broke to act. This assumes all accusations are credible and ignores the stated goal of the victim's attorney which was to generate enough media attention to pressure the police and DA to get moving on the criminal charges.

Maybe a guy who didn't know he had an STD and tested positive after the encounter? Maybe a guy who got the STD during that incident? Maybe a guy who even got the STD from her? Maybe a guy who didn't even have an STD but knew she had sex with a few teammates of his that did? Too many conclusions being drawn on too few facts.

Thanks. Thats what I was thinking. In terms of actions, they can cut him or send him home and tell him not to report to team activities. Its helpful to understand the options available. I see a decent amount of criticism being leveled at the team and league for failing to take actions that are not permissible under the CBA.

I won't be losing sleep over it regardless. With the assistance of alcohol I will be sleeping like a big boozy baby. I will not be impressed if the organization cuts ties with him and hindsight later proves the motivations were purely rooted in public perception. If the Bills or NFL conducts a process and the findings of such result in Araiza being cut or kept, I will be satisfied. I think the team's recent track record has been solid.

The girl could be a rape victim (I believe she is) deserving of justice AND Araiza could still be innocent of the most serious allegations (no clue what to believe on this count. Sounds like he was at minimum involved in undesirable behavior regardless of whether hes found innocent of criminal offense). That is why we have a system of justice to sort these things out.
