    Players are just too big now, it's too much abuse on the body to have that longevity in the trenches. What makes it even crazier is he spent his first 7-8 years playing on that ridiculous Rich Stadium turf, which was essentially just outdoor carpet over asphalt. Players rated it the 2nd harshest stadium surface at the time after Veteran's Stadium in Philly.

    None of those WRs played well into their mid to late 30s. Cobb is 31 years old right now. Edleman's number's took a nosedive when he hit 33. Welker put up crazy numbers at 32 that Beasley has never came close too, and was not re-signed by NE. If anything, the examples that you provided show that slot receivers pretty much reach their shelf life in their early 30s.

    I think both Beasley and Sanders will be gone. They're on the wrong side of 30 and it's time to get some youth at the position that will be around to gel with Josh for 4-5 years. It's a juicy WR FA class next year, will Godwin slip away from the Bucs?

    No they did not. They spent a 4th round pick on Fournette. They took a risk on Gronk being out of football shape and Brown being a locker room cancer.

    I'm going to disagree with this part and say there's no way he's still being paid his full salary. He had a ridiculous $100M contract. I would venture a guess and say the contract settlement isn't going the way he wants, and his lawyers have convinced him it's more profitable to file suit (and they're probably right).
