I think it'll be closer than the spread. 20-17 Bills.

Stupid comment that just shows the ball-washing the national media engages in with the Pats. But the irony is, he said that with a Gillislee run... Shady's better you fool. Watkins was better than Hogan and Jones and Matthews are. And White, says a crisp $100, is and will be better than Ole Tackler #24.

SI Article- With Confidence- The Bills are Not Tanking
zonabb replied to jethro_tull's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is what the Neanderthals here don't understand. First, you have to create a culture of expectations where roles are clear; goals are set; and a steady progress is outlined so people understand. Second, patience, you stick to the plan in the short term when results are not perfect and sailing isn't smooth. Bailing on the system, especially one you are replicated from other successful systems, ensures failure. This goes to ownership too, they have to believe in the system and the process and give it time. The quickest way to failure is constant change, chasing your tail out of impatience, or in the case of Rex, a bad hire. But this is where RW sucked and who I blame for where this team is. I like it and I want to see it applied and stuck to for at least 3 seasons. -
Typical social construction created and exacerbated by social media pics and print media hype. This is how stereotypes start. I was just talked to guys in our STH group and we were remarking how calm it seemed last year. I honestly can't think of one bad episode. Outside of spots in the endzone and higher and corner upper decks, it's a pretty good experience. If you can get a ticket that is from a STH, odds are the crowd around you will be great. And if you're a boring and self-righteous ah-hole, stay in your cul-de-sac man cave you have because you hate your wife and she won't let you outside anyway.

Who is Paying to Read Jerry Sullivan's Sob Stories?
zonabb replied to ROCBillsBeliever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Anyone rad them for free? TBN is dying behind a paywall and adding another to just Bills articles shows the level of desperation it is in trying to find revenue. It's end hopefully is very near, and The Public or other actual news outlet can step into the void and recreate actual reporting and journalism here. -
Michael Bennett suing Las Vegas police department
zonabb replied to HappyDays's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
No one should start topics here that deal with civil rights, equity, freedom or liberty because this is a place where Neanderthals live. This is the place where people think brawn over brains matter in football. It's no shock it only took a few posts before the Neanderthals responded to the Neanderthal signal and came out in droves. The irony is these same Neanderthals are the ones who are blindly patriotic and get rock hard when the anthem is sung or they see a service member but they just can't make the synapses fire enough to realize the connection between all things they love and our civil rights, freedoms, and liberties. So the guy taking a bullet for our freedom is a hero, but the guy trying to hold the system to those expectation is a baby and should just suck it up, which in fact makes one wonder what the guy you love is taking the bullet for anyway. -
Just talked to a former player from the SB years
zonabb replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
First off, the unnamed player has zero credibility since we don't know his name or his management experience. He could have been stapled to the bench, never played, and now works in landscaping, making his comments moot. Even if he does have some management skills and experience, which I doubt, has he seen how this team has been operated since the 1990s? Does he and the resident Beane/McD bashers prefer the old model, switching from offensive to defensive minded coaches who all have the "win now" mentality and refuse to try and actually built a team based on anything resembling a plan? Think about this for a minute... every coach said we're going to win now. Every GM drafted like their job was on the line. Now they have a clear plan and an ownership that appears to be willing to be patient and let them try this process, rather than firing them after two years, changing the offensive and defensive schemes that make some players less useful and then drafting to fill holes in the new schemes. It's a garbage way to build anything and as a STH, I'm not looking forward to eating December tickets but I am all in on this rebuild. -
Would you accept Colin Kaepernick as a Buffalo Bill?
zonabb replied to Spurna's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm as patriotic as the next guy, both grandparents served and survived with valor and honor in WWII. The flag and the anthem are emotional symbols of an unrealized ideal society where equality, opportunity and equity and realized by all. If we as a country believe the symbol is more important than the practice, we're emotional fools, lacking the ability to question when the ideal is not achieved. It is inarguable that the flag and anthem are conflated with law enforcement, that somehow what law enforcement does is uphold the unrealized ideals the flag symbolized, not guarantees. I don't and never will fly the flag on my house, and neither did my grandfathers who saw the country and imperfect despite serving. I don't blindly support law enforcement or the military. Our country, believe it or not, was founded on the belief that blind loyalty to the ruling class and their support structure (law enforcement, military, policy) only continued to marginalize and exploit everyone else and was not equitable nor democratic. So why do we worship slaves owners for their rebellion against jolly old England and refusal to recognize the flag but for Kaepernick, we're hypocritical and don't understand his message? I'd take Kaepernick of the tire fire that is TT right now. He's better than every back up in this league and at least 30% or more of the starters. Is he a pro bowler? Nope. But he's better than the ENTIRE QB lineup right now in Bflo, Cleveland, Jax, SF, NYJ, Den, Chi, and LAR. He'd give the starters in Balt, Miami, KC, Cinci, Hou a legit challenge. What else would expect from a league full of old white owners? -
I think they'll troll the waiver wire and cuts. It's a good plan given that teams often have to cu quality players at positions where the are deep. Those cuts are often worth look when they're better than the garbage a team has. They're dead in the water this year. And it appears they're all in (fully pregnant!) on the long view. So they'll whittle down the miscreants and dead weight and build from the draft and free agency. I think this is a 2-3 process to skim the scum off and get the players they want and start seeing results. I'm for it, sick of the hiring new coaches, no plan, and "we're here to won" schtick. It'll suck going and being a ST holder but I'm up for a new approach, as long as they stick with it

Cap wise could a Dareus/Osweiler trade be worked out?
zonabb replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
More childish garbage from this loser. I'd eat whatever it took to get rid of him if I was serious as an owner about character and culture. It's lost money anyway, might as sell kick his lazy, selfish, childish azz to the curb. -
Should the NFL do away with the national anthem?
zonabb replied to Walking Tall's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Absolutely. The anthem has no place before a sporting event. When was the last time you started your work day when you, your boss, and fellow employees stood for the anthem? Where else, outside of school, does it take place in daily life. It's a joke that it's even played. Fly a flag at your own house, recipe the anthem on your own time, leaeve sports to sports. It's basically forced adherence to something many find hypocritical. -

Remember when this team got a lot of penalties because of Rex, according to many. Like I continue to say... draft smart players. Bob Kraft on TV two weeks ago was asked how Belichek does it, he said, simply, we draft smart players. Yep. And sick of people sugar coating it, as Tasker just did and called it a "lack of discipline" its a lack of intelligence. Block in the back is lack of intelligence. Holding, same. Personal foul, same. Given two players with similar draft ratings, take the smarter one, however you feel comfortable measuring it... GPA, SAT, ACT, Wonderlic, other test, whatever. Damn I just hate stupid. -
These are all marketing moves.
zonabb replied to PlayoffsPlease's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yep, pure genius marketing move. Trade your arguably most talented player who is on your season ticket and other marketing packages/outlets. Yep, total marketing move. Jesus, this place is going to hell. -
Watkins and Zay Jones combine numbers
zonabb replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What I get perplexed about is that Watkins ran a 4.43 at the combine and can stretch the field and has been labeled "fast." All I hear everyone say about Matthews is he's not fast, is a slot and possession receiver... yet he played outside and ran a 4.46 at the combine. And he played outside in college and his YPC in college was slightly higher than Watkins. My point is let's watch football and see how this works in McD's system. -
Greatest WR you've seen in your lifetime
zonabb replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Moss then Rice. Two different eras. One played in a less pass centric era with two of the greatest QBs of all time and was spectacular. The other played in a more pass-oriented era and dominated (as did Rice) but was physically a better, more dominant player. And I grew up through both and hated Moss as a person. Undeniable as a WR. -
Go on record regarding the trades
zonabb replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Don't know, not in the prediction game here. I liked Sammy's potential and don't like losing him. Does the loss make them worse, we'll see. I would bet in the end, in a few years, the net gain from more draft picks, along with the production of the two players in return assuming they stay, is greater than Sammy and Darby alone. This is a net gain question. Simply do the two players plus the two picks collectively make the team better than they would be? Can't predict that but it seems likely. -
Just what the paper needs... more opinions. How about some good reporters, people who know and understand sports, strategy, salary caps, etc. Instead we get schlock like that Yucky snarky parenthesis column article this morning, filled with no talent or skill, just arrogant snark. This woman, who may or may not be talented, will likely come here and add to that snark, trying to make a name for herself as she attempts to continue to rise the media ladder. This is not a permanent stop for her.

This post and subsequent comments by your are dripping with suburban ignorance, bias, and prejudice. If you're coming here, of all places, to get your information on the effects of weed, you need to spread your internet wings beyond TBD. Jesus. Do some research. And take the foil hat off, it's not 1955.

OBJ wants to be NFL's highest paid player
zonabb replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, glad this ahole is someone else's nightmare. His media market is responsible for the overhype. That guy here with those numbers is a nobody on the NFL scene. Can't win with me-first guys like this. Do the math... spending the largest percentage of your salary cap on a player how averages, what 10 touches a game, would be the worst return on a contract in the history of the league. Guy's an idiot. Can't understand the WR mentality where they think they're more important than anyone. -
Stevie Johnson in Buffalo?
zonabb replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He was roundly slammed as a me-first player on the radio yesterday by someone I forgot but in the know. Came to camp overweight every year, cost his team with stupid penalties and monumental drops. One of the worst hyped players in the drought. Wouldn't let him play for free, and I hope the team has the same feeling. -
Training camp practice will be live-streamed on BB.com
zonabb replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Horrible. Bad enough to have to listen to Murph (guy is horrible outside of calling a game, sorry) but to listen to him almost on mute due to some problems here made me turn it off. Nice try, but fail. -
Is it okay for us to have a prediction pool?
zonabb replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Only legal if Kraft and Jones, as well as the NFL HQ, get their cut.
