  1. Id love to have rosy view of Allen after today like the OP but I just cant see any improvement. Great that he's not making bad decisions and getting INTs but what is he doing that's positive? His running is still decent and he is very elusive but the deep ball touch is abysmal. Again today he had another receiver open and this time underthrew him WITH the wind! He has arm strength but doesn't have it combined with the ability to put a ball in a window. And this something we need because sometimes our receivers don't get a lot of separation. I'm still waiting for that big breakout game which hasn't happened yet. I just don't want to go through yet another high draft QB who just disappoints like Losman or EJ.
  2. Unfortunately the Bills played exactly like Jones said they would. I hope the Bills are embarrassed by that game and the thousands of rival fans holding a huge party at our stadium at the end of the game. They got whooped in all areas. But on the bright side this may be the wakeup call they need to not get ahead of themselves. Lets hope so.
  3. This was a total team defeat from Allen to the D , the STs and the coaches. They were simply outclassed in all areas. I had a bad feeling going into this game as Philly isn't as bad as their record and they have a great coaching staff. Some things that stood out for me or stunk out for me was Daboll's game plan. The guy thinks he is just too clever and is stubborn about adjusting when things are failing. So many plays on the offense were ill advised. The pressure today was relentless so why hardly any? screens? I think the Eagles D just wasn't tested at all. Allen was mediocre at best, awful at worst. 3 fumbles and on the most important drive of the game down 24-13 was wildly inaccurate. I don't fault Hauschka for the missed FG but the blocked PAT was unforgivable by our STs unit. The STs this year have actually gotten worse. The final turd served up was by our O line who was overwhelmed by Phillys D line and committed so many unforced errors. Not to be outdone by the pathetic offense, the D had their worse game of the season. With error after error. So many Philly series could have been snuffed out with some clutch tackles but Wentz again and again was allowed to squirm away. The icing on the cake for this gut punch defeat was the absolute multitude of Philly fans whooping it up in our house. Embarrassing game in all aspects.
  4. I've been waiting for a team to snap and do that for more than a decade. When the DBAG BB left Brady in the game when they crushed the Bills on Sunday night football during the Jauron era and they kept going for two deep in the 4th Q I was screaming for old Dick to call an all out blitz and kill Brady but all I got was Jaurons 1000 yard stare.
  5. Bellichick is a smart guy operating in a league full of dolts. Its like if you went back to 8th grade as an adult. You would be a school all star!
  6. Trent Dilfer won a SB. I would take a SB win with mediocre QBing and a great D like Baltimore had. That being said its aggravating to watch Josh overthrow wide open guys week in and week out. Today he Overthrew Brown by almost 10 yards and he had plenty of time to throw. He needs to be work more on his touch until that problem is gone!
  7. OMG that is awesome!!!
  8. 0/18 for onside kicks but with our special teams?!! Yikes
  9. The "elusive" Ryan Fitzpatrick. WTF
  10. Playing too soft on Pass D.
  11. What an awful punt, goddamn the special teams are worse than last year.
  12. Well executed play all around!
  13. That pass by Allen was Doug Williams esque…. in other worlds horribly overthrown for no reason.
  14. That's an excellent idea. Soccer uses it so why haven't the brainiacs at the NFL figured it out?
  15. Watching for 40 years now. I think with so many games every week compared to when I started watching, the crews have been diluted in quality. In addition with HD and more camera angles we can see the plays far better than ever before. The bottom line is that the speed of the game has gone so far up that these officials just cannot keep up. Last nights game was filled with calls that were obviously guesses by the refs. The 2 illegal hands to the face calls looked at regular speed like they might be correct but on slow mo they were obviously wrong. Add to this the ticky tack penalties that have nothing to do with the play and the phantom calls where you cant see any infraction whatsoever and you have the new rock bottom of officiating.
  16. I can remember that game quite well. As a 12 year old watching I became quickly confused at what the situation was. This was before regular graphics on the screen that STAYED there. So you would see a flash of the score and the down and distance but not hear it unless it was the stadium announcer. So hard to keep track. In addition, commentators of this era were pretty good at calling the games (for the most part) some of the NFL guys from this era did the games on radio and were very descriptive with their words for an audience that couldn't see the game. So no commentary was a huge loss for the broadcast and a really bad idea. Now by todays standards with all the extras we have it might work and as others have mentioned, with some of the terrible commentators and colour guys it might be a relief!
  17. I didn't pay attention enough to Zay in the preseason to judge if he was decent. But his body of work in the last two regular seasons has been a huge disappointment for his level of pick. I was pretty angry though that Duke had a great preseason and still was disrespected and didn't make the cut. That is what bugged me about the way this regime seemed to favor Zay for no good reason. Results on the field should be everything and Zay seemed to get a free pass. Meanwhile you had a receiver in Duke who had proved himself in the CFL in Edmonton where a chunk of the season is played in very difficult cold conditions (ice and snow) but that somehow wasn't enough for the Bills. When combined with his great preseason, Duke should have made the team and Zay should have been either traded or cut before the season started. In addition, Zay's mental breakdown in 2018 may have really been a much bigger factor in his inability to reach his potential. I'm not sure if the Bills were afraid to move on from Zay after last season because they did not want to be seen as being insensitive to mental illness.
  18. Daboll is good with the playcalling in parts of games and then seems to suffer from brain cramps especially right after half time. The execution on some plays in some key 3rd down situations has been abysmal. I think Josh will improve with more experience. Even today you could tell he was more careful with the ball.
  19. Daboll is very lucky that the D bailed him out on that. Now run the damn ball
  20. and a terrible punt ?!! WTF that was stupid
  21. OMG that was terrible playcalling by Daboll
  22. Vrabel = another dumb ass headcoach in the NFL.
  23. You see TBD does know player personnel!!! Feel awesome for Duke!! Redemption!
  24. one of the worst kicks ive ever seen
