I used to have respect for Anthony Lynn, that is until today. This has to be one of the worst coaching jobs I have ever seen in a playoff game in my life. The game plan looks like they were playing to lose, playing scared, no aggression, no pressure, no confidence. Their plan to beat Brady? Nothing!!! Their offensive game plan ? Hope for the best! Their adjustments after the first quarter? nothing.!Just a pathetic embarrassing effort overall. The Chargers look totally unprepared like they have never watched any film on the Pats or have practiced nothing different in preparing for Brady compared to Jackson last week. Did they think they could do the same against the golden god Brady? Just utter stupidity!! To add to this, the refs of course have been helping the Pats with some key calls or non calls. Rivers has turned in his usual choke performance vs Brady and the complete lack of clutch plays by the Chargers = blowout!!

Is Rex Ryan done in the NFL ?
Livinginthepast replied to PUNT750's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Its funny to have this discussion as the coaches carousel is unfolding. I was shocked to see Adam Gase being hired again by the Jets as he achieved nothing in Miami. That kind of hire is like the NFL was in the 80s and 90s. Where you had complete idiots coaching who would fail miserably then get rehired (Rich Kotite is probably the best example) and Sh%t the bed in the next place too. Rex would be the epitome of this type of hire if this was to happen now. Rex has achieved absolutely nothing. Perhaps If he had won the SB with that Jets team that defeated the Pats then he would deserve a shot but they came up short in 2010. What possible delusion would a GM now have to be experiencing to even consider him as a candidate?? -
Forget about Josh Allen, this Lawrence guy for Clemson is an absolute beast and loves the Lord just as much as McD!! Its a match made in heaven, draft him early next year!!

WR Duke Williams of CFL’s Eskimos Signs with Bills
Livinginthepast replied to LEBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Williams has great potential to be better than any of our current receivers as long as he 1. Stays healthy and 2. Is actually given a fair chance to compete for a job. He is exactly that type of jump ball receiver we have been lacking the past few years. The problem for him like every player who comes in from the CFL isn't lack of talent, size or speed, its the huge bias against the CFL from the NFL snobs and the lack of good scouting and quality of assessment from many NFL team's front offices. Too many times players are overlooked in the draft and have to prove themselves in the CFL just to get a shot to come back to the NFL. The Bills would be wise to actually pay way more attention north of the border to add to their depth and get over this stupid bias! -
WR Duke Williams of CFL’s Eskimos Signs with Bills

The Eskimos "packers colors" 1949 predate the Packers wearing the same by almost a decade 1959. Before the late 50s the Packers looked like Notre Dame! -
Sunday NFC Wild Card: Eagles at Bears 4:40 NBC

Philly seriously misses Ajayi, He was the key missing piece last year. Foles still looks money to me. Its a wonder that this guy was such a journeyman until last year. He can still throw a really accurate pass even in huge pressure situations. Even without Reich, Philly still looks well coached to me. As for Chicago they just need another player or 2 and they can get to the promised land. Great game to finish the weekend! -

Seattle is a lot like GB with Rodgers. They should have won multiple SBs with Wilson. Just like GB, Seattle's coaching and player management around their star QB has completely let them down. Dallas was ripe to be upset tonight but the Seattle offense has been so predictable. -
AFC Wild Card: Colts at Texans 4:35 ESPN
Livinginthepast replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
the Texans were completely overrated and Watson looked awful. The real surprise was the Colts, they looked excellent today. Luck looks better than he has ever been in an offense that seems properly tailored to him and Reich looks like he should have been the Colts first choice all along! -
I have a bad feeling that the Pats somehow sneak past the AFC because Andy Reid and Philipp Rivers just cant get it done when it really matters. I really hope I am wrong. As for the NFC I think the Saints have looked a little too ordinary the last few weeks and Brees looks like he has done something to his throwing shoulder. I think the Rams can cause an upset and go to the SB. Rams beat the Pats in the SB.

Bills sign Derek Anderson to extension
Livinginthepast replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If he is a mentor for Josh, then great. But I never want to see him play a down again. Why not sign him as QB coach instead? Better for all concerned!
