  1. I would love to see Duke active again but I think this coaching staff likes to double down on their illogical decisions. Hope I'm wrong but I don't even know if we see him again.
  2. I will always be grateful to Andy Dalton for getting us in the playoffs 2 years ago but holy crap he is awful now. James Lofton was saying how Dalton was auditioning potentially for other NFL teams, well if that was the case he should retire now. Just an abysmal performance overall.
  3. Pats oline tackling the Bengals pass rush with impunity!
  4. Would it have shocked you that much if they had? Its the Pats remember!!
  5. That Punt muff was textbook Officiating incompetence and Pats bias all in one mess of a play. You have to let the punt returner catch the ball before you hit him or touch him. The Pats player clearly interferes with the punt returner's arm. Then the ball is recovered by a Bengals player while on his stomach and being touched by a Pats player but its Pats ball. Officials in the booth have time to look at the play but do nothing.
  6. Sad but true. Marv is a great man and a class act. But a "win one for the gipper" coach like him just couldn't compete against more modern minded coaches who meticulously prepared their teams to face the Bills and neutralize every facet of our game.
  7. Umm Duke's TD catch vs TN WON THE GAME, literally.
  8. I still remember watching the Oilers comeback game in a sports bar in St.Catharines because the Ralph didn't sell out and it wasn't on TV. The Bar was full of a-hole Bills haters whooping it up because they thought the Bills were about to crushed. People laughing at Marv etc. Walking out of there after the victory and seeing their formerly smug faces turned to shocked disbelief was one of my sweetest memories of the 90s Bills. I went to the Jacksonville playoff game in 1996 and I'm not sure if that one sold out either. I can remember a lot of empty seats.
  9. I would take him absolutely. But that injury that he sustained was catastrophic. is he even going to be able to walk properly again?
  10. The NFL doesn't tend to miss on Offensive players very often these days. Pre 2000 it happened all the time, usually over racism or just plain stupidity in scouting. Defensively is where some players have been overlooked like Cameron Wake etc. But that's what makes Duke's case interesting. Talent wasn't a problem, it seems to NFL teams were scared off by the "character" incidents at Auburn. I don't think the Rams gave him a chance in 2016. What's happening now is something really odd.Duke gets a small opportunity with the Bills and makes the most of it in the preseason and they cut him. He gets brought back off the practice squad and performs well and catches most of the throws his way, scores a game winning TD , gets hurt in a game and disappears of the face of the earth. In spite of the fact that other players brought into replace him have completely failed to do anything. Its also weird because the Bills Offense is screaming for a big body on contested throws or Josh's high throws. I would love the local media to ask McD about Duke but so far I haven't seen any explanation. Just a weird situation.
  11. I think that Brown has proven he has great hands and the Jags defender did just enough to disrupt the pass. In fact it borders on PI but is probably a good no call. I don't think its a drop. But as others have said does Peters come through a bigger wide receiver there on that same play? Brown isn't that big a body. This is why I have been and will continue to scream for Duke Williams on that exact play. Peters wouldn't have gone through Duke to break it up.
  12. No I saw that as well. Ridiculous as to how that was missed ! Did McD explain why he didn't challenge that PI non call on the deep throw by Josh?
  13. Why has nobody on the Bills media beat ASKED McD and co point blank to justify this decision? He produced when he had the chance and then you mysteriously take that chance away with no apparent rationalization. If the people in place of Duke were playing better and scoring TDs or making those contested catches then fine, we don't need him. But they are simply not doing that. So why keep them active and Duke sitting?
  14. The lack of touch on deep balls is what drives me nuts. Throughout the season, he has missed wide open guys. Its happened several times when he has had time to throw and was not hurrying to complete a pass. I could give him a break if it was just at the Ralph where the wind has been awful in a few games this year but it has happened away from home as well. I don't know how you fix this but if he had connected on even one of those 3 misses on long passes yesterday, I think we win that game.
  15. That was my favorite moment from yesterday. Hilarious! Especially the ref's snatching it away like a teacher on the playground!
  16. I respect Joe B but that is stupid take. Duke would never be on the special teams anyway. And besides what does it matter currently, our kick return game is garbage. In addition, he "doesn't strain the defense"? yeah except when he caught that TD in Tennessee? and the entire point of Duke is he DOESNT NEED Separation to be effective. He can catch contested balls. Good grief, its like the poor guy has been blacklisted with the team and its "company line" media.
  17. I thought the Dallas game was the turning point for the whole team esp the Offense but today was ugly. The Pittsburgh game is going to be huge and we really need to get our swagger back to beat them in their house (crap backup Qbs or not). Makes me even more incensed that we lost to that team of DBAGS in Cleveland!
  18. I agree. I'm actually amazed that the D didn't get exhausted with all the quick Offensive series we had where we did SFA and got off the field. The Offense was putrid. About the only thing I can fault the D on was falling for several of those Raven screen passes. Other than that they kept us in the game.
  19. This I believe is the same reason for the bias vs Duke. McD insanely stuck with Peterman just like he insanely stuck with useless crazy Zay Jones. These coaches never like to admit a mistake and TBH most of them are not the sharpest knives in the drawer. Add to this some anti CFL bias and Duke is the irrational odd man out, week after week.
  20. Probably the same as yours I would guess. 3 rings with San Fran back in the 80s?
  21. I gave up trying to convince people on here. All Duke has done since he got here was work hard and perform and all the organization has done is disrespect him. Duke should have made the team at the end of the preseason instead he's cut. He finally gets his chance off the practice squad and produces in the exact game on the line scenario he thrives in, scores the winning TD. He gets 2 more games (one of which he got hurt) and then never again. The idiotic assessment by the coaching and management of this guy has cost this team wins. Today was another example of where he could have been used but instead we have the useless Mckenzie or mediocre Foster.
  22. Not a bad play call, not a bad throw. Brown just isn't big enough to shield the defender from the ball. But lets never activate Duke, we don't need guys like him in those situations.
  23. Fouts say we have no tall jump ball receiver. Except he's parked on the practice squad
  24. Beazley sold that dive like an Italian soccer player!
