  1. That's why I appreciate Romo basically begging for the Rams to do something different to go against the grain. Of course like all teams and all the "deer in the headlights" coaches who have faced BB, McVey "the boy genius" plays right into his hands and does nothing.
  2. Actually I normally feel ill after a Pats SB win but that game was so excruciating to watch I'm in a strange state of indifference right now!
  3. Nothing to whine about , but he's right, the phantom hold was a huge call that killed that Rams drive. That call should have never been made. The problem was that the Rams were so utter crap on offense that even a holding call was enough to kill a drive. That is all on McVey.
  4. I admire your confidence. But such a delightful fantasy will NEVER happen.
  5. I've watched every SB in its entirety since Steelers beat the Rams in 79/80. Even the blowouts in the 80s had at least some moments of interest, but that game was an excruciating waste of 4 hours with absolutely no redeeming qualities. Even if the Rams had won it would have still been the worst SB ever. But of course they didn't even slightly threaten the Pats in this game. I can only pray that BB and Brady retire now...….. yeah snowflakes chance in hell.....
  6. yes that was a brilliant move from the NFL. Make it less competitive at the end!
  7. Yes Romo was being unusually dense on that call. Should have backed them up.
  8. No its just more cosmic cruelty for us Bills fans.
  9. This game owes every NFL fan an apology!
  10. fowler gets illegal hands to the face while being HELD....LOL
  11. PI on Gilmore not called. Goff throws his worst throw of the entire season.
  12. Perfect time for the Rams defense to fold. Gronk triple covered but still catches it.
  13. Rams offense has been utter garbage this game. Weakest I've ever seen!
  14. Has anyone recent SB come close to how dull that first half was?
  15. It used to really get me angry during the 90s. I would be pissed for days. By the time 2000 rolled around and they started to suck , my anger/disappointment reduced considerably. I'm down to a couple of hours or less now. Games vs Pats I expect to lose and there's no post game black cloud over my head. All in all, I can put losses in perspective and any loss is nothing compared to the way that wide right in the SB felt. Truly one of the worst moments in my life and weeks of "mourning" afterward. Oh what could have been.
  16. I have a memory (perhaps a little fuzzy) of watching Buffalo evening news sportscast during the negotiations to get Kelly here after the USFL folded. The story that night was all about how Jim wanted Ralph to pay up if he wanted him in Buffalo. I just remember the Sportscaster implying that Jim was greedy and was disrespecting Buffalo and Don Postles? concurring in disgust. Funny how Jim became the champion of the city during his career and after. I was at the last game that Jim played vs the Jaguars and seeing him carted off was a sad end for a brilliant career. Like most things in life you didn't know what you had until it was gone. 22 years?! Damn!
  17. 1.Packers vs Broncos 1997 2.Redskins vs Dolphins 1982 3. Giants vs Pats 2007 4. 49ers vs Bengals 1988 5. Rams vs Titans 1999
  18. I thought the Bills in Toronto was painful. I cannot imagine how angry I would be as a Raider fan after putting up with the move to LA in the 80s and now a permanent move away from Oakland. The owners have always been aholes for this team!
  19. I agree the Cowboys were probably better but they hadn't yet evolved into the swaggering powerhouse that they would become. I just watched that first SB game vs the Cowboys. It really is grim watching but I still believe the Bills and Cowboys really weren't that far apart. The Bills unfortunately play probably one of their worst games ever in this SB. 5 turnovers in the first half. Kelly threw 3 really bad INTs, one from the 5 yard line was an absolute killer. Thurman Thomas with a game breaking fumble, and a series of other gifts to the Cowboys. Kelly's injury obviously finished any chance they had but the whole team had played an absolutely embarrassing game by that time. The sad fact of the game is that the Bills looked completely unprepared for anything Dallas did, like they hadn't watched any game film. The Bills game plan on both sides of the ball showed no sophistication whatsoever. By the time the Bills got to the 3rd quarter they were still in it but they had lost all hope and they just resorted to the "here we go again" loser mentality. Watching that game now I cannot help but think that it might have helped to have hired a sports psychologist to work with the team even after the first SB but esp after the Redskins one. Or even right before this game. Anything to try to break the mental barrier of losing the big one. Maybe they didn't do such things back then? I also think that they should have abandoned their no huddle game plan as it had really been exposed by that time and good teams knew how to beat it. Despite all this I still think that much of what occurred was really freakish. This game should have been a lot closer and if the Bills had done a better job in preparation and strategy they could have won it.
  20. Wade is a great coordinator, probably one of the best ever. He has shown throughout his career that he can be prepare for almost any challenge (including Brady). He has also shown that he can make in game adjustments if things are not going his way. I think that trait has been improved since his time here. The problem for Wade was when he was head coach here and to some extent the head coach of the Broncos in 1993 and after us in Dallas is that he is a really bad game manager for both sides of the ball. His in game decision making was really slow and he was really poor playing chess offensively. I do hope he wins again though and defeated BB and Brady would be extra sweet!
  21. "He played it left hand, But made it too far"
  22. So sick and tired of him and BB, You are the GOATS now f'off!! retire on top! At the same time I also sick of the naïve Bills fans who for years have been wishfully thinking that "if Brady wins just 1 more SB he will retire". Sorry You had to know that Brady was never going to walk away at 35 or even at 40. The guy is better than everybody else currently QB in this league with very little drop off from his early 30s peak. He tries to market that low key personality but in reality he has a huge ego (fed by his continuous success). He is also greedy for more success and knows he can achieve it. Unless he gets injured he will play for them for another 5 years! Just part of our never ending nightmare in the AFC east. I just wish the Bills (coaches and team) instead of conceding the 2 games against him every year and playing scared, would actually do some homework for a change on what beats Brady and play with some balls against the Pats instead of this wimpy submissive garbage of the past 2 decades!!
  23. I was checking out the Wikipedia list of SB halftimes and not surprisingly the first few years have a lot of marching bands, up with people etc. What is really surprising looking back is seeing the incredibly lame lineups of the 80s and 90s. There's a few decent or big name performers in there but lots of really safe, G rated crap. Some of the choices as performers are bizarre. George Burns and Mickey Rooney in 1987 for ex. I don't recall watching any of the Bills SB half time shows, probably because I was completely stressed out of my mind. But they had Michael Jackson for #3!
  24. Perhaps that concussion from that Patriots game did some damage to the common sense portion of his brain or wiped his memories . He didn't look in the slightest way at all that he was enjoying any of it as the Pats pummeled him left and right. Financially though as others have said, its much better for him to come back as a player than a coach. I just cannot believe they would allow him near the field. Then again if he has some positive effect on Josh, then great.
