Around the League, week 11
Livinginthepast replied to Ridgewaycynic2013's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't care if its skill, coaching or luck with NE but they just get it done. Its bad enough that it lasted 10 years but we are almost on year 20 of this. -
Very happy that Allen finally completed a long ball. Offense is looking better. Singeltary and Brown (as always) has been great but at least 3X they have incompleted a tight window pass that a big body like Duke would have been perfect for. Defense have been awesome and Fitz is looking overwhelmed. Lets step on their throat now!

Rudolph's reaction is easily explainable with the horrendous game he had and the fact that Garret followed through on a late dirty hit that might have been the last play of the game. But Garret? what reason does he have to lose his mind that like that? A drunk man in a barfight who is fighting for his life maybe, but a football player at the end of the game where his team is winning and there is no chance of a comeback? To swing a helmet? He could have seriously injured him for life.

Football is a ruthless business and as good as Hauschka used to be and as nice a guy as he seems, if he cant make kicks like he had in Cleveland then he needs to go. The really unfortunate thing about kickers is once they lose their mojo, they have a really hard time getting it back. Look at Norwood. Pretty solid kicker until he missed in Tampa and then never the same again. Vanderjagt was the same in Indy. The guy was great in the CFL and then became the most accurate kicker in the NFL but after a few brutal misses (that one vs Pittsburgh) he was basically crap. What bugs me is that that Hauschka has been showing some signs this year of erratic kicking and yet McD still played it safe for the kick vs the Browns when it was a long way out. If the ST coordinator or Daboll or McD had paid attention they would have realized that Hauschka's chances of making that kick were pretty low and his confidence was probably shaky after missing a 34 yard one earlier. I have no idea why they didn't go for it on 4th down or call a timeout before that to think it over. They all reacted like deer in the headlights rather than thinking a few steps ahead. Also if Hauschka had a problem with the way his legs were feeling or where is head was at, did he communicate this to the coaches??

Weird stuff happens when we play the Brownies
Livinginthepast replied to Dan Darragh's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills find a way to lose when they play the Browns in Cleveland in the most irritating ways. The playoff loss, the snow game, the terrible game where EJ got injured and today = all awful. The best game I can remember in Cleveland was when we beat Bellichick on Monday night football. -
The shovel pass from Kelly to Thurman was one of my favorite Bills offensive plays in the K gun. I've always wondered why it was so effective back then but the high powered offenses of today don't tend to use it regularly (or at all). Was Thurman that special a player to run that play with effectiveness?

Hauschka is at 61.5% for the season

I don't think he's been the same since that cheap shot. -
Bills at Browns Post Game Post Mortem

Perhaps the fact that he didn't move them into position where the FG was a gimme even though he had opportunities to do it. Yes your FG kicker should have tied it. But you want to make a statement about your quality? Then don't leave it up to the kicker, win the damn game with your arm. -

Who cares? Josh didn't make plays on the winning drive to get them closer than the 36!! 3 incompletions on the last drive and the 3rd down was killer. You want to win a game that's huge for your team? then do it, no excuses. Just not good enough. -

Mayfield and Allen were close in stats but Mayfield made the throws that mattered on the Browns last drive and Allen couldn't do the same. -
Bills at Browns Post Game Post Mortem

Losing sucks. Losing to a 2-6 team sucks. But losing to a team of dbags like the Browns is the worst part of this. The Bills had a chance to make a statement by pounding the Browns and basically ending any hope. Instead they once again proved the national media critics right that they are a fraud of a team with an easy schedule. For his part Allen should have been motivated to beat Mayfield instead Mayfield came out looking like the better draft pick. The Bills also could have made a statement against that vile dirtbag Jarvis Landry but instead let him excel against them. Somehow the Bills weren't able to rip the Browns terrible run D or expose any of their pass D weaknesses. In the end McD got outcoached by the Browns lardass dolt of a coach which is also an embarrassment. Bad enough losing but to losing to an overhyped team that could have been easily smashed is unforgivable. -
They tried to explain that his arm was moving forward underhand to justify it as a forward pass. Like a softball pitch that slipped out of your hand.

Singletary finishes with EIGHT rushing attempts
Livinginthepast replied to wiseman3's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not even seeing what you got with Singletary is an utter travesty. -
Oh we cant let Duke play!! That would be admitting that we made an error at the end of training camp when Zay Jones was apparently the anointed all star of this team. Oh and forget about the winning TD vs the Titans , that was a fluke apparently. So what if Duke is a big body that Dbs cannot get through to break up a pass (which happened several times today).Trust the Process!! because they really know what they are doing!!

I agree absolutely about Allen. But Hauschka has become a liability now. And after this game Nobody is above criticism.
