  1. Ok Sure, routine catch. Would Brown have caught it? or even Hopkins? Not with the DB going through them. Maybe TO in his prime. but is not a routine catch whatsoever. No it wasn't a jump ball pass (nor should it have been) that's what the other guy described it as. It wasn't a bad throw by Josh at all. It was a great throw and it had to be a fastball to get it there. I agree with everything you said in your 2nd to 4th sentence But saying that that 4th stringers make that catch with ease is lunacy.
  2. But you did say "jumpball" which is about as far away from reality as possible on that play.
  3. The throw was in the right place for only Duke to catch it but it wasn't a perfect throw by any means, he should have caught it but in no way it was a jumpball pass. So yes blind or high or completely mistaken . It wasn't an easy catch because the defender leaves his feet and comes across Duke's body. Duke is also at full stretch and twisting. Watch the replay in slow mo if you cant get this point, or just keep up the hate for Duke because he's the only reason they lost the game right?
  4. They can fix it easily by having their officials in the booth overrule really bad calls or give the coaches the ability to challenge any penalty (at least once) in the game. Or they could do what they did yesterday and have those black shirted mystery officials talk to the official on the field out of the call and make him an offer he cannot refuse.
  5. There is absolutely no way in hell that was a "Jump Ball" pass. The play to DiMarco was a Jump Ball. The play to Duke in the endzone was a fastball. Difficult catch but he should have caught it. And why are you dissing him if you think that he is only a #4 WR?? You expect a #4 receiver to catch that pass? You must be blind or high to make this observation.
  6. With Daboll its all about the resume. So many GMs seem to pay no attention to results on the field. Once they see he worked in NE they cannot help themselves and may hire immediately. I hope so because I don't think Daboll is the right guy here.
  7. They were at the 1 yard line on 2nd down. Even a sneak would have been better!
  8. Bellichick called a "great game" in SB 49? How so? Where's your evidence on that? He didn't call his timeouts when it appeared that the Seahawks were going to score at the end. Had they handed the ball off to Lynch rather than throw that awful pass, the Seahawks are up by 3 with only 26 seconds for Brady to tie it. The best thing Bellichick did well in that game and his greatest strength as a coach overall is he patient enough to wait for other idiot NFL coaches to beat themselves. As for the last part of your comment, when did I act like a savant? Because I gave my opinion and dared criticize Bellichick? Sorry I have no respect for a guy who cheats regularly to gain advantage. So sorry if I hurt your feelings about your hero.
  9. Duke proved yesterday that he should have played all season. Benching him for Foster was detrimental to the team overall and a dumb personnel decision. Trying to justify ST's over a WR was asinine. The coaches not explaining why they kept him inactive was also inexcusable. I think he should have had that TD yesterday but it was a difficult catch. Calling it a drop is idiotic. Watch the replay. It hits Duke in the hands just as the Texans Db comes flying in and hits Duke across the torso disrupting the play. There are not very many receivers in the league that make that catch and hold onto the ball and definitely nobody else on the team. The 2nd so called "drop" play was excellent pass defense. Duke also made some nice grabs and had to deal with a couple of bad passes by Josh. This is what you expect from a #3 receiver and especially one who has ONLY PLAYED IN 5 GAMES ALL SEASON, but the illogical hatred for this guy on this board borders on insane. According to the Duke haters on this board, Duke shouldn't be on the team, Duke should catch every pass thrown to him, Duke should never celebrate, Duke is too slow, Duke never gets open. It goes on and on.
  10. Exactly, Maybe not a TD for us, but at least a penalty for a bogus fair catch or not being clear on giving himself up. That TD would have broken the Texans and the refs knew that, so instead of being their usually ticky tack selves, they decided for the good of the ratings they would reverse the call which was probably correct. But then strangely they decided to be ticky tack in OT with us on the blindside call. Such BS!!
  11. I find it hard to pin this on any one player in particular. Allen's fumble was huge but TBH he played pretty well overall in his first playoff game. So I think for him it evens out. Our defense had 7 sacks and held a great offense in check for large parts of the game. They also blew some huge plays. The OT missed tackles were completely inexcusable yet the turnover on downs for the Texans late in the game should have been their redemption. The Bills had the ball in a position to WIN this game in regulation and there is one man who messed it up, Daboll!! I thought Daboll called a great game for parts of it but when he really needed to get the job done he failed miserably to be daring and was completely predictable. If Daboll calls some better plays from the 29 yard line we could have won the game right there. If Daboll calls some better plays in OT we drive down and win that game. If anyone is responsible more than anyone else. It is Daboll.
  12. I thought that SB where they lucked out against the Seahawks, Bellichick called a really bad game and they really deserved to lose because of his errors. But of course they lucked out with the INT. The same with what happened against the Falcons. They got gifted that game by really bad coaching by the Falcons. Even last year the Rams played scared and allowed the Pats to get in their heads. Bellichick has always had Brady to bail him out and now it appears that the clock struck twelve on that! He's a weirdo, a grump and mostly importantly a cheat. Tonight looks good on him!
  13. it was difficult catch in a tight spot with a DB smacking into Duke's torso, factor in Josh's fastball speed and yeah "as it was thrown" is exactly what I meant.
  14. as always with the Bills! then again to quote Bill Joel, "the good old days weren't always good, and tomorrows not as bad at its seems".
  15. Bittersweet. We should be going to KC next week!
  16. A small silver lining in a shtty night!!
  17. The endzone pass was a difficult one and I think he should have caught it. But who on our team catches that ball as it was thrown?
  18. He was awesome today. Great clutch running, kept the feet going, some nice jukes and 6 catches! Really impressed with his effort tonight!
  19. Several of which had there QB scrambling for his life. Just the kind of play that O lineman cheats and holds on (at least ours do) but not the Texans. They never hold apparently!
  20. Yes another brilliant insight from Booger. Ford I guess was being selfish by cleanly and legally blocking the Texan player.
  21. That's true ,Allen blew it at crucial times but Daboll was just not aggressive or daring enough with plays to kill the Texans off. If Allen called his own plays I would agree 100% but he doesn't and some of Daboll's calls were just awful in key situations.
  22. This team needs to learn how to stick the dagger in. There were plenty of opportunities to do that today and they let the Texans off the hook. McD needs to have a Offensive Coordinator that goes for the throat. Daboll is brilliant at times but seems to lack this one key quality!
  23. Duke , Beasley and Brown were tied in catches today. The Texans did a pretty good job of neutralizing Brown who normally has twice that many. Duke did exactly what his role should have been all season. For all the haters criticizing him for not catching that throw in the endzone, could anyone else on this team have made that catch? It wasn't that easy especially with Allen's throwing velocity.
  24. After the Saints playoff game last year the NFL tried to remedy their inept officiating with a challenge for Pass Interference. I thought that was a total cop out by the league because there have been so many bad calls and missed calls beyond just PI over the years that should have been immediately rectified with all the HD cameras and angles we have. Tonight yet again we have an absolutely horrible call that affected the result of the game. If the refs had reviewed the blindside block on Ford they would have clearly seen that 1. Ford and the Texans player were facing each other and had eye contact. 2. There was a time for the Texans player to know he was going to be blocked and 3. Ford barely touched him and did not hit him low or in the head. There needs to be a mechanism that coaches have where they can challenge a call that is that bad and that impactful on the game (at least one chance in game). Or the Ref in the booth needs to buzz down to the refs on the field and say sorry you blew it with that call, pick up the flag! We could be going to 2nd round now if Hauschka kicks that FG. But instead we literally get cheated out of the chance by asinine officiating. At least in the NHL the refs have the good sense in OT of letting the teams decide it and putting the whistles away unless it is a clear and egregious foul but not the ticky tack officials in the NFL!!
  25. Called a blindside when he had at least a second of FULL eye contact with the supposedly blindsided player. Absolutely game changing call by the worst officials in pro sports!!
