  1. I suppose its possible that Rudolph is a closet racist but its kind of a strange thing to be in a league where almost 70% of the players are black and your head coach is black.
  2. One power that Brady has that has not diminished whatsoever is his ability to intentionally ground the ball to avoid a sack with total impunity from a flag. I saw him do it in the pocket again Sunday night. None of the officials close by dared to even make a move for the flag!
  3. If our coaches can rise to the occasion and come up with a great offensive and defensive game plan for Dallas, I think we can win that one. We need to force the Cowboys into mistakes which they are prone to.
  4. Brown was a great signing. He has been an absolute stud this year. My only fear is that teams will soon learn to focus on him as Josh's main outlet and neutralize him or that he gets injured. He really isn't that big a guy and he plays almost every offensive snap. Hopefully he can stay healthy with the amount of pounding he takes on a regular basis.
  5. Its always been Brady's quick thinking on his feet and ability to understand what he is facing (in an instant) in a defense that has been his greatest asset. I don't see any decline there at all. His pocket presence is still decent and he still is able to avoid the sack for the most part. Passing accuracy and strength has dropped off but he is probably at the level of a 35 year old Qb now. As long as he has weapons on offense and a great D, he unfortunately will continue to dominate.
  6. 3 games (one where he catches the winning td) then is exiled to inactive status is a fair shot? Duke has caught 6 out 7 thrown his way but is benched in favor of Foster? or Roberts whose stats are terrible. Does that make any sense? Nobody is saying that Duke should replace Brown (who has been an absolute stud) or Beasley (who has been good as well) but he should be given more time than Foster, Roberts or Mckenzie because as I said he is a big body who can make contested catches. You totally missed my point about Duke. You don't need a receiver like him to open or get separation for him to be effective. As for your point that there is no bias vs CFL players that is laughably untrue. The rare player that does get a shot back in the NFL after a CFL stint has to ALWAYS work twice as hard as regular NFL player to prove themselves and that's being going on since the days of Warren Moon. You literally just proved my point with your line about running starts.
  7. The Dallas game will be the ultimate statement game for Bills season and perhaps Allen's career. Get annihilated like the last thanksgiving game in Detroit and the critics will write us off as frauds. But win against the Cowboys in front of that national audience especially if Josh can finally put it all together and get 300 yards plus and you have a springboard to another level.
  8. Wallace can make plays but is really inconsistent. On the plays he gets burned on, he looks like he has no idea what he is doing. A great QB will exploit him every time .
  9. Duke being on the inactive list is one of the stupidest decisions this coaching staff has made. I thought for sure that once they jettisoned Zay that Duke would get a fair shot. He proved himself vs the Titans and caught the game winning TD on the type of play that he excels at. If he is nursing an injury then why not say that? why the secrecy? Duke being on the field gives Josh another option and a huge body who can make those contested catches in traffic that Beasley or Brown may not be big enough or strong enough to make because Duke is 50lbs and 4-6" taller than either. Today I noticed at least 3 or 4 passes that Allen made that were incomplete not because of a bad throw but because the dbs went through our receiver and forced a drop. I really hope this isn't some continued anti CFL bias against Duke by the organization because that would just be asinine. Duke should be a great option on 3rd down or in the red zone so why isn't he being used??
  10. I don't care if its skill, coaching or luck with NE but they just get it done. Its bad enough that it lasted 10 years but we are almost on year 20 of this.
  11. How bad do you have to screw up before you get fired as the STs coordinator? another 50 yard return? WTF
  12. Good playcall, good read by Allen and great catch and finish by Knox!
  13. Very happy that Allen finally completed a long ball. Offense is looking better. Singeltary and Brown (as always) has been great but at least 3X they have incompleted a tight window pass that a big body like Duke would have been perfect for. Defense have been awesome and Fitz is looking overwhelmed. Lets step on their throat now!
  14. Rudolph's reaction is easily explainable with the horrendous game he had and the fact that Garret followed through on a late dirty hit that might have been the last play of the game. But Garret? what reason does he have to lose his mind that like that? A drunk man in a barfight who is fighting for his life maybe, but a football player at the end of the game where his team is winning and there is no chance of a comeback? To swing a helmet? He could have seriously injured him for life.
  15. Football is a ruthless business and as good as Hauschka used to be and as nice a guy as he seems, if he cant make kicks like he had in Cleveland then he needs to go. The really unfortunate thing about kickers is once they lose their mojo, they have a really hard time getting it back. Look at Norwood. Pretty solid kicker until he missed in Tampa and then never the same again. Vanderjagt was the same in Indy. The guy was great in the CFL and then became the most accurate kicker in the NFL but after a few brutal misses (that one vs Pittsburgh) he was basically crap. What bugs me is that that Hauschka has been showing some signs this year of erratic kicking and yet McD still played it safe for the kick vs the Browns when it was a long way out. If the ST coordinator or Daboll or McD had paid attention they would have realized that Hauschka's chances of making that kick were pretty low and his confidence was probably shaky after missing a 34 yard one earlier. I have no idea why they didn't go for it on 4th down or call a timeout before that to think it over. They all reacted like deer in the headlights rather than thinking a few steps ahead. Also if Hauschka had a problem with the way his legs were feeling or where is head was at, did he communicate this to the coaches??
