Welcome to the boards! I think your assessment is pretty accurate. The Bills have a rough sched ahead so 8-8 would be pretty impressive considering most "experts" have predicted 5 or 6 wins at best. This team doesn't have the talent for the playoffs yet but they did show a lot of heart last season. Maybe that same style of hard play and the few upgrades that WERE made can relate to more W's on the field. I have my fingers crossed that Fitz will be amazing this season, but I can't expect him to be more than he has ever been. Careful game planning and execution along with some good luck (that has been hard to find for this team) are the keys to success for this squad in the season ahead. We will all know soon enough.

I know of plenty of bad reporters that would have jumped all over this anyway. So I think we would still hear something. I still don't understand why you won't tell people what you know. I assume you are worried about your career and it is somehow involved in what you know, or you are just a troll.

I see you enjoy correcting other people's spelling around here. Next tome you do, it would help if you used the proper spelling of "know" you idiot...

SOOO messed up but still funny. It is a shame that what happened to McKelvin's lawn got so much publicity. A few idiots can make us all look terrible. I was at a bar 2 years ago when the Bills were getting thrashed and a few obnoxious fans (wearing newly purchased Ownens jerseys) started fighting with a few bears fans (who I actually happened to be friends with) and the whole situation was just ugly. Next thing I knew I was getting hard stares from everyone there like I did something. I guess every fanbase has to deal with that though.

Professional opinions?? Well there are plenty of professionals out there who have stated we will be the worst team in the league. Would you agree with that? Even a pessimist has to know we aren't the worst of all the 32 teams around the league. I'm not saying the Bills are making the playoffs here, but at least be able to form your own opinions. I am willing to bet there are some people around here that DO know more than some of these so called "professionals." I am not one of those people I say, let's just sit back and watch some football. We won't need to make predictions soon enough when the games begin.

The Pro Bowl is a popularity contest anyway. I would rather this team focus on depth in the trenches than add more skill positions (unless they can find a TE...Chandler has had flashes in practice though so who knows). With the limited preparation time I fear we will see a lot of little nagging injuries (hammies and ankles) around the league. It would be nice to have competent replacements to plug in when needed.

:thumbsup: I smoked for years, quit, still occasionally light up when I am a little sauced. Have no problem with this policy. Everything you said here is not only intelligent but makes every point I would have made. The only thing I will add is that "our opinion" as he put it about others smoking is ANYTHING but irrelevant. Second hand smoke is just as dangerous and people shouldn't have to deal with it just because you (or I) want to put ourselves at risk. Nobody's rights are being attacked here. It is time for people to accept the reality of the situation and be prepared to get thrown out if they feel like they need to provoke authority just for the hell of it.

My biggest complaint was he always seemed slow/out of place/lost in pass coverage which did not surprise me at all considering the position switch. With another year hopefully comes improved play. He definitely wasn't as bad as some made him out to be but he was far from great. Time will tell I suppose.

Being held up and having a ball stripped away from you has nothing to do with play calling. Stevie dropping a game winning TD pass has nothing to do with play calling. Say what you want about the plays, there were still chances to win those games that were missed for other reasons.

I am forced to agree here. I find it hard to believe Chan doesn't WANT to upgrade the TE position. Unless he see's something in one of these guys that we don't...can't imagine what that is though.

Yup, I heard Orton referred to as a top 12 QB in the league while listening to ESPN radio today, and Fitzpatrick is "okay" at best.

I thought the same thing while watching the practice videos. The logo just pops. Looks so much cleaner. Can't wait to see the full get ups in action game day. At least there is ONE reason to be excited to start the pre-season.

Don't be mad because his posts is bigger than yours . I have seen PTR be critical of the Bills plenty of times over the years I have been visiting TSW. If you were actually able to read what he had posted within the borders of it's intended context you would have understood that he isn't drinking the cool aid as much as calling out people for the obnoxious knee-jerk reactions to everything and their tendency to blast about it here. I haven't always agreed with the people here but I don't think making personal attacks is the way to go about things. But if we are, a guy with 37 posts, the most recent of which being this atrocity i see above, is more likely to be a troll than someone who has been around for over 10 years. However, if you have some riddles to ask me, I kind of want to cross that bridge you are guarding...

It would be sort of funny yes, but I highly doubt that is what is going on. The jets have bigger fish to fry. If they were going to do something like this, it would be to the Patriots. As much as I hate to say it, why should they even be worried about Buffalo? Maybe this is just a way to put the pressure on Asomugha, letting him know they are considering other options to get him to bite. Then again who knows, Maybe Rex Ryan just thinks he has excellent foot work
