  1. Another thing I have noticed is the look that comes over Gailey's face when he is asked about Maybin. Go back and watch some interviews. He is BLUNT. I mean, he stops short of saying he is flat out terrible but you can tell he has a professional dislike for Maybin. I might be reading into this a little too much but I just honestly think he is not a real football player. He is a guy who had a decent showing in college against weaker competition but that **** isn't going to cut it in the NFL. He's not a real football player and Gailey doesn't respect him as one. I am with you guys who say he has until the end of the next camp to suddenly make a difference, otherwise he is getting cut. Too many holes and not enough roster spots to be taken up by the likes of this kid. I am sure he is a good person and all and I feel bad that it isn't going to work out. It's not like HE was the one who decided to get drafted where he did. Oh well best of luck to you Aaron hope you invested your millions wisely. That's actually not a bad business idea if you could get some poor drafting team to actually bite on the idea.
  2. Whitner; please let me know if you would like my address, I will fight you.
  3. I want to give Nix/Gailey the benefit of the doubt and assume they are going to take Fairley/Bowers with this pick if either is available. I think they know they need to improve the defensive front. That being said, I didn't see the Spiller pick coming even though I knew Gailey wanted a little scat back. So I don't know if I would be surprised by any move this team makes.
  4. He would look so great sacking Tom Brady wouldn't he? One can dream.
  5. Agreed. I think our locker room already has plenty of character. What we need are some play makers and studs with character as well. Tim Tebow has more character in his pinkie than most do in their whole body and yet I don't see him winning a Super Bowl. Then again, I guess crazier things have happened.
  6. Gailey has already said that this defense is going to be more of a "multiple front" than a true 3/4 anyway going in to next year. If he is there at number 3 you take him. Although I think after the year that Williams had, it might serve us better to pick up a guy who is more of a pure pass rusher. This D needs to generate more of a pass rush anyway that it can. Just food for thought.
  7. I think we got left in the dust a long time ago, now it is about not staying there lol.
  8. The real big stand out stat here that really separates him from the rest of the group is his completion percentage. I am a pro Fitz guy but if he wants to keep this job and this team wants to contend for a title, his completion percentage has to come up a little bit. Among other things (and by that I mean the rest of the team must improve in general as well)
  9. The most successful team in the last 10 years is either the Pats or the Colts. One of them drafted the stud QB, the other built a solid team and fell into an elite QB in the 7th round. I figure the best thing to do now is fix the problems that are huge and upgrade on the QB later, if at all. I still say Fitz should get a fair shake at being the guy through training camp and have a whole season. What is the worst that happens? We are miserable again and we end up drafting a QB. We aren't going to get Luck anyway so why bother reaching with the #3 pick on a guy who is probably only going to be as good (at best) as Fitz was this past year? do you really think Locker/Mallet/Newton are franchise changers?
  10. Lamenting is for people who enjoy being miserable. Have fun with your life.
  11. That is just flat out not going to happen. Sorry to crush your dreams.
  12. I can't believe some posters are actually claiming that a 4 and 12 record says everything we need to know about Fitzpatrick. I'm not saying the guy is a football god or anything, but there are 52 other guys on the roster and coaches who share that record. Go look at our defensive play this year and you will see another reason why we have 12 losses. Yes but in 5 years who knows what Fitz might be able to accomplish with some continuity and a healthy offensive roster. Assuming a solid line and defense can be built in that time. Hindsight will always be 20/20. Regardless of where he goes, I do think Luck will be special. Just have a feeling like I did when Manning was coming out.
  13. I didn't know holding a clip board counted as playing.
  14. I actually wanted to see Levi in there much sooner to get a look but that was more out of curiosity than anything else. I for one think Fitz is our guy even if it is only for a few more seasons. He is head and shoulders above anything we saw yesterday and it isn't even close. Who do you think makes those changes at the line ?? The QB changes the protections and plays based on what he sees in the defense and if he identifies the blitzes and coverages. It is BROHM who blew those plays my friend. Not Gailey.
  15. YOU are wasting your TIME arguing about something that ISN'T going to change. CAPSLOCK is a GREAT way to make a POINT. Wouldn't YOU agree?
  16. If we really wanted someone in the higher spot bad enough we will trade up to grab them. Worked out well for Josh McDaniels right??
  17. So, then there is no reason to even discuss winning and losing and draft position because by your logic the Bills are doomed forever and always until Mr. Wilson passes away regardless of who they pick and where. Was the point of your post just to remind us all how pointless rooting for our team is? Gosh I never thought about it that way, I guess I will just stop watching football now.
  18. It is a popularity contest all the time when it comes to the interior line of the Pro Bowl because the average person doesn't care to know who any of the players are unless they stand out and become house hold names. People know Wilfork's name and he has been to the Pro Bowl, so when people see it and go to vote, they just assume he is still good. Not that Vince Wilfork ISN'T good, but I think you get what I am trying to say.
  19. If you really are going to go by "history" you might want to look up a guy named Bruce Smith.
  20. 5-8-3??? No no no, we lost those overtime games. They belong in the loss column.
  21. That is the reason I hate the Patriots fans the most. I don't even hate the Patriots as much as I do their fans these days. There is a family friend of my parents who has a son at the age of 18 and he is a Patriots fan. Not only did he not even CARE about football until the Patriots were winning, but he will endlessly rip on me (at least he used to before he was a legal adult) for being a Bills fan and how bad they sucked. What kills me the most is that I will see him on xbox live playing a video game instead of watching his Patriots play. Talk about fair weathered. This kid is so spoiled by his team that he doesn't even bother to watch anymore, he just takes credit and talks ****. The real shame is that when the Patriots are finally a bad team again, I will not be able to give him back all the bull **** because that is when he won't "be that into football anymore." Just like his older brother did when the Cowboys stopped winning Super Bowls. Bandwagon fans are everywhere, they are just the worst in New England because the franchise is consistently good.
  22. ...He isn't bitching about work. What he is doing, is trying to make the organization look bad to the fans in an attempt to help him in the negotiating process. Him being in the spotlight has nothing to do with it. Sure, I have a Facebook and I have made posts bitching about work, but the difference here is that not EVERYBODY can see my Facebook. I am not using it to broadcast my problems to other people. I am just posting how I feel and letting my friends and family know what is what. Twitter is all about self serving and self promoting. Why else do you think every time Entertainment Tonight comes on they want to ask you trivia questions about which Hollywood star said this using twitter today? It isn't hating on the guy, it is just the way it is. You have no right to tell people how to react to what Donte Tweets. He put it out there for a reason so he will have to deal with the positive or negative reflections on his character as a result of it. We are not seeing a one second snap shot of their thoughts that means very little, what we are seeing is a calculated and deliberate (all be it a passive aggressive) statement that is designed to get people to support him or in the very least put pressure on the organization. I am not saying that people need to tar and feather the guy or that he is even wrong. Hell, if I was in his position I might even do the same thing, but don't get on your high horse and defend something for what it isn't. Snap shot my ass.
  23. Dear Donte, In pro sports the best way to resolve contract disputes is to complain about a couple of million dollars in a passive aggressive manner through your Twitter account so that people who make far less than you can continue to NOT GIVE A ****. Oh I'm sorry you seem to have that covered, carry on.
  24. Really guy? I am glad to see you can contribute to a conversation...save the comedy routine for open mic night.
