  1. I was thinking the same. Maybe he will be willing to take less money to be on a contending team.
  2. I could cut your sarcasm with a knife. Unfortunately, one only need listen to Chain Gailey in interviews giving his opinion of Aaron Maybin to know that there is no way in hell this guy will be sticking around. He sounds like he has absolutely no respect for him what so ever. Although, I am not entirely ready to say the same about McCargo. The Kelsay extension makes me believe anything is possible.
  3. Not so much a nickname as an inside joke...an inside joke between many many people.
  4. Plus, maybe if he tests the market, we may find that teams aren't willing to pay as much for him as some us are thinking. Buddy may end up getting him cheaper. Well cheaper than top 5 franchise money anyway.
  5. I am terrible at linking things (message board noob) but here it goes hope it works
  6. ROFL -made my day at work!
  7. might be those lombardi's in the trophy case, but I am thinking it's the cheese.
  8. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Scott.
  9. I wouldn't be surprised if this is just someone reaching on a rumor and blasting it on their radio show to make conversation. The lockout has sucked all the life out of football talk for this time of year minus speculation after speculation. Then again, who knows this could be something that comes to fruition. Losing McKelvin for Tebow? I don't know how much better or worse off the Bills would really be with that one. Fitz is the guy for this season (assuming it's existence) but considering the lack of depth at the QB position right now, you know there is at least one being signed or traded for. My guess would be the Bills try to find a guy in FA for depth.
  10. Yeah all my Giants fan friends around here are bummed out. I could see it going this way for plenty of teams. Time will tell I guess. Can't say I will miss them being here, but I am sure some of the bars and restaurants will miss them.
  11. At first glace I didn't like the logo on the back of the jersey and i liked it even less when i found them on the pants as well. But after thinking about it, it does make sense. If you want to distinguish and grow the brand, slapping that charging buffalo on everything makes sense. I remember back in the early 90's people always assumed I was a Giants fan because of the jersey similarities. Of course that wouldn't be a problem now but I can certainly understand trying to make your brand stand out as much as possible.
  12. You bring up a good point, but in my opinion, Buffalo is a good fit for that. Let's be honest, this team was loaded with guys who may not have had a shot to start anywhere else. The hard play last season through a tough losing streak and close games with the league's better teams is evidence of these guys buying in. The only time I really think this becomes a problem is now. Marcell Dareus is coming in from a successful program, was highly courted and is going to get a nice chunk of cash. These guys, who are used to success, are going to need more from Gailey, like you said. They are going to want to see results, or they will be testing the FA market ASAP. All in all, Gailey knows football and has a real feel for the offense. Hope to see improvements there this season but not as much as the Bills are in DESPERATE need of improvement on defense. Yes, I am looking at you Mr. Edwards. And I think Wannstedt might be eye humping your job.
  13. T.O. is a freakish athlete with an amazing work ethic and yes, he did handle himself well in Buffalo considering what was happening around him. I think that could have been more because he knew his options were very limited and he wasn't going to make himself look worse. For all the good things you can say about T.O. you can say as many negative things. I do agree with you that if Evans had this kind of work ethic he could be one of the best considering his physical tools. But part of me thinks that T.O.'s work ethic is a bi-product of his "all about me" attitude. He wanted the be that much better and bigger than everyone else. That isn't to say you CANT have work ethic and still be a team player, this is just how I view T.O. His numbers speak for themselves, he will make it in to the HoF and deservedly so. I respect him for his talent, I just never liked the guy.
  14. Yes, Damn it and all the millions that it got him!
  15. THE BODY OF CHRIST COMPELS YOU!!! Although, it would be hard to argue against what you (or Bill...i guess...) said.
  16. So, Moorman has one bad year and because there is a uniform change occurring he should be cut?? Of ALL of the issues that could be addressed on this team, do you really think it was necessary to dedicate and entire post of ranting to ask we cut him? For Christs sakes he is the punter. I'm sure he will have a better year anyway and if not, then sure sign someone new. Just for the love of god don't wast your time thinking about it so much. They are just uniforms, and he is just a punter. I am starting to see why some people around here have such high post counts.
  17. Haha, here we go with getting bashed for being young whipper snappers again. Yes, tell us more oh great insider jedi but please don't risk your job. But throwing a job my way would be possible maybe?? (Doing best Dr. Zoidberg impression) woooop wooop woopwip woop
  18. He could be made out of fat and inject hamburgers directly into his veins and I couldn't care less as long as he plays the way he does.
  19. To be fair, in practice, Trent Edwards always looked like a good QB. It is easy when you know nobody is going to hit you. On the field Gailey saw the other Edwards, the real one lol.
  20. Oh no, that doesn't get you out of a fanboy argument! CoD sucks, Battlefield is better.
  21. Who is more foolish? The fool, or the fools who listen to her?
  22. Ummm, it's not fashion, it's IMAGE, sheesh!! You would think this guy doesn't read GQ and gets himself waxed all the time like all football fans do. Also, it's all about wine coolers guy. Be a man!
  23. I too would have liked to see something a little more original, but I have always liked the white helmets (never knew why...just did) so I am happy with the change. Honestly, this team could have gone back to the 90's unis or the 60's unis or ANYTHING as long as they got away from the arena team get ups they have been sporting for a decade+ Hopefully a team of young guys can put on some new uni's shake off the old ways and put together a winning season in the near future.
  24. Oh no, I can understand where you come from don't get me wrong. When I used to smoke I couldn't stand people who would make coughing sounds as they walked by that were obviously fake and meant as insult. As if I was standing right next to them or something. I understand why people who don't smoke don't want to be around it and I can also understand how smokers feel like they are getting the short end of the stick on everything. Hopefully this doesn't create a tyrannical security regime at the Ralph as the search and water board people to find out if they are hiding cigarettes on them. You are going to search me WHERE??
