  1. The problem with our drafts has to do with one simple concept that no amount of discussion can fix. You need to pick and develop the right players. Your talking about drafting primarily based on odds manipulation, but again, you have to pick the right guys and also develop them. Our player development the past decade has been as poor as our drafts, but no one ever seems to bring that up.
  2. I think the plan this year is to run a similar looking offense to what the Raiders had with Rich Gannon. A screen and short passing game to replace what would be most of the run game with the occasional deep strikes.
  3. The only thing that has kept us from going down field successfully is O-line play. We can't protect long enough, and we don't run well enough to go play action either.
  4. I hope Lee absolutely lights it up for them. Lee is a guy that I could never hate on. EVER. A class act with talent.
  5. I would prefer to hear Levitre's.
  6. He did not get you pregnant did he?
  7. We have a hard time keeping 11 healthy players on the field too.
  8. That would have been very Kevorkian of you.
  9. Levitre gets a lot of love for absolutely no reason. He needs to play better.
  10. It will be interesting to see what that cap # is after we extend KW and Stevie.
  11. They have been. Keep in mind however that GH and test when combined lead to the athlete keeping about 80% of the mass and strength gains. They have a dramatic synergistic effect that is mostly long term.
  12. Neither did the O-line blocking for him.
  13. No flaming necessary. I can't wait to see them against a serious O-line either.
  14. Buddy and Chan mix the Kool-Aid, and I drink it. These guys know what they are doing, and I prefer the youth movement over the big free agent spending. I am curious as to how KW makes out on his extension. Giving him a righteous payday will speak volumes to the young up and coming players we have.
  15. I think you make excellent points in general about really young players physically maturing. DT is without a doubt a position that requires years of physical strengthening and maturing before they start to peak. It seems like no matter how good or bad they are when they enter the league, you just won't see their best football until 4 or 5 years later barring injury. With Maybin, it should have been a no brainer that he has poor genetics in terms of what is required from a physique standpoint to play DE at the NFL level, which is what he was drafted to play. His lower body structure will never naturally support the mass and power required without eventual injury. Bodybuilding is another story.
  16. I agree, it's more like 4.
  17. I agree, there will always be those people that insist on fishing where the big fish are scarce.
  18. Nix's job is to get the players. Gailey's job is to coach them. Gailey at this point in time has who he has, and he has to compensate for their shortcomings.
  19. I've seen enough of Hangman at center. It's simple, the guy to play RG probably is not on the team.
  20. Williams has not emerged yet. He has great upside, but as of Saturday, he is not starter material.
  21. I like Fitz, but it does hurt his accuracy on the deep ball. Unfortunately, he will never have consistent touch on the deep ball as a result.
  22. If Gailey is arrogant, then I say keep it coming. Do I drink the Kool-Aid? Your damn right I do. It's obviously laced with something and it feels great.
