We have quite a few rookies/ 2nd year starters that are learning on the job right now. Donald Jones was healthy enough to play, but obviously he is not 100%. We are 5-3 with a very young team merely 2 years into a serious roster overhaul. Based on the season thus far, this was a very uncharacteristic game from top to bottom. It's not a trend unless they play like this next week. It will be interesting to see how we fair against the other fat Ryan in Dallas. If we get one of our LTs back, it would be huge given that it has hurt us at LG also.

I chalk it up as growing pains. The Cowboys game will reveal a great deal about this team.

Call me crazy, but I am more confidant in our ability to pull this one out down a couple points at the half. Considering that everything we are doing on offense is just awful, finding a few things we can do right should be a little easier.

Something tells me that we are going to come out with power running ala the Eagles game and try to exploit the Jets D with play action. They are going to key on Jackson big time, and I think it will work against them.

You have to admit that is quite a leap in interpretation and more of a provocative approach to discourse then you may realize. Cro can only cover one guy, and when he plays off his man he is an average corner. That leaves 3 other targets. I suppose I am calling the rest of the Jets secondary bums then?

As a Bills fan witnessing the resurrection of winning, having a positive outlook on match ups should not be looked down upon. Optimism has been rare on this board, and here you are unable to tell the difference between "totally dismissing" the Jets secondary with someone actually being optimistic that we will find ways to exploit them. This team finally expects to win, some fans apparently disagree.

The Jets will be in the nickel most of this game and are not that great along the D-line. The success of their D as a whole is largely a result of how well their offense controls the clock. If we run and stop the run (which we will) then it will look almost too easy.

Revis can only cover 1 guy. Even if he shuts Stevie down the whole game, we will still run the ball and pass to 4 other decent targets on any given down. If we can run the ball we can play fake. If we can play fake, Revis will get burned.

Are they doing it with regularity? Are these returns sometimes stuffed inside the ten? How many of these returns from deep in the end zone happened on losing efforts?

I can't believe some people are calling him a quitter. The man played hard every snap on a lousy team. Simply unreal.

It feels great having both of those guys on this team. CJ is having an extremely high example of excellence being set before him. The future of the Bills run game looks bright.
