Does Freddy deserve some credit
RealityCheck replied to DocLawless's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fred deserves credit for making everybody on the team look better. There is no doubt he is the MVP of this team. -
What makes me laugh is hearing Evans referred to as one of our best players. That was years ago. There appears to be a skewed mindset about the talent on this team as it pertains to other rosters. "One of our best players" turned out to be a nobody on a legitimate playoff team. Here we are with someone who wants a bench warmer because he would be a starter on our team. If you want someones castoffs, it makes more sense to wait till they cut him, hence how our O-line is generally put together. Crayonz is a gateway drug to paint chips apparently.

How could it not have something to do with why he was hired?

Good point. This move may or may not help Fitz take it up a notch, but it looks like Brad Smith would gain the most from it at this time.

LSU's Morris Claiborne to Declare
RealityCheck replied to It's in My Blood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
One good thing about guys like this declaring is that even if we don't get him, it hopefully pushes another top college player towards our pick. -
Don't start thinking spiller is A GOD
RealityCheck replied to fitzyisagirl's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Eagles lost to the Bills this year and neither team made the playoffs . You can type away but it won't change that fact . With all of the Eagles obvious talent they are clearly not a playoff team . The more you type in protest of that fact the more peculiar your motivations for being on here become . There is something clearly bothering you . Perhaps Dr. Phil's website could help you through it . -
I am definitely not attacking you bro (not that you inferred it either). It is impossible to ignore Stevie"s big drops, and it is an area that we all know he needs to work on. I just wanted to express my view of the contributions, or lack there of, by the rest of the roster and coaches pertaining to our wins and losses. Right now it seems that when this team needs big plays Fitz and Johnson have only each other to count on. You said it though, stats rarely reflect reality. I loved the Spiller pick from the very beginning and he played well down the stretch, but when you look at his stats from the Fins game for example, they don't reflect that huge drop he had in the back of the end zone.

Players I don't think will be back

He is definitely a great fit playing the nickel. -
What is a #1 WR in the NFL?
RealityCheck replied to The Cincinnati Kid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If that is the definition of a number 1 receiver, how many teams would you say have a number one? -
Don't start thinking spiller is A GOD

Wait a second, are you saying that Spiller outperformed McCoy despite having the legendary Jason Peters on the line? -

Hello fan of the keep dreamin team. Say what you will, but ragging on Spiller is quite interesting considering Fred Jackson is already BETTER than McCoy. -
As hard as I try not to live in the past you are so right, if we would have picked a safety I would have lost my mind, again.

I am certainly not saying that SJ has not had really bad drops in games, however when I look at the TEAM's performance in those games I tend to see one genuine playmaker and .....? I just feel that if a win or loss comes down to one play at the end of a game that it speaks more to the roster's performance than it does one player, coaching and play calling too of course. The blown coverage to end the Steelers game could be hung on one guy in a similar respect, but again, since I can be more objective watching a Steelers team that I could care less about, that loss was still very much a team effort. Fitz threw 2 awful passes in the Giants game that were most likely easy TDs to SJ and possibly would have lead to a victory. But poor defense and poor pass blocking in the red zone throughout the game was equally culpable. In fact, outside of Fred's first run of the game for a TD, our run game was shut down pretty hard. I digress, I just hope that we keep the guy and get some more talent to compliment him. Brady threw 4 picks in our first meeting this year and his stats say he almost never throws a pick...Wait, that really did happen. S*** happens, bad games happen, playing with a groin and shoulder injury happens, and the Bills horrible D can contribute to a mighty comeback from 21 down to the Patriots. Back to back 1000 yard seasons for a Bills receiver, well that's a new one.

Good point, come to think of it I wonder how Spiller would have looked playing for any of the respective teams that drafted the players you mentioned. I am sure that if we faced Spiller as a Giant or Patriot this past season we would have shut him down quite easily. Better yet, Spiller playing for the Packers would be a huge joke too.

Excellent point. When I watched those very same games (Steelers and Jets) the other 21 starters were not responsible for the outcome. There were no blown coverages by our D and Fitz's only incompletions were to SJ. The offense ran roughly 65 plays in each of those games and as I recall our running game was spectacular as always. Great teams overcome their mistakes to win games, and given SJ's drops, our 4-12 and 6-10 records are on him.

How about the Eagles record since Peters arrived? I beg to differ.

Tebow TD should have been called back!
RealityCheck replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have seen this penalty called on the Bills at the worst time often enough to say this is BS. It should have been called back. -
Our record has very little to do with the LT position.

Wow -- player revolt against Sanchez
RealityCheck replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Sanchez has 10x the character of the guys making the comments then he would not be the obvious weak link of that team and would inspire loyalty. A fact of life is that some people prove that they deserve neither loyalty nor respect. I have no opinion either way of exactly why they would make the comments to the media instead of keeping it in house, but it is obvious that Sanchez has lost the respect of at least some of his teammates. From his play on the field and lack of progress I know that most Jet fans feel the same way. -
Bills hire new asst. D-line coach
RealityCheck replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I too am surprised considering the great talent on that team. -
I get the feeling that Sanchez gets another OC fired in a few years.
