  1. I hear you. McGee is probably gone with Florence getting an opportunity to redeem himself after this past season. It really is to bad for McGee, for a little guy he played fearless and has been paying the price.
  2. It really is unfortunate. Bad ownership/stewardship of the organization is at the heart of the problem. If Ralph would have allowed the football people to run the show people would be talking about the finer aspects of WNY that do in fact remain.
  3. I get the feeling that McKelvin's future on the team is covering the slot. His opportunity to play outside may have passed. The only times I have ever seen him make plays are when he is playing inside where his elite quickness is a big advantage to offset his lack of ball skills. It's strange, McKelvin has great physical talent, but when he is lined up outside, you would never know it from watching the game. In fairness, the lack of a pass rush exaggerates his weaknesses. Byrd, Wilson, Williams, Florence, McKelvin in the Nickel does not sound to bad. McKelvin plays the run fairly well from the slot too.
  4. Bell has come a long way. I can't imagine that he walks given how inexpensive he will be.
  5. It still does not mean that Polian did not want Luck. 2-14 has a little to do with it also.
  6. Gailey's big mistake is not having McIntyre, Jackson, and Spiller on the field together as often as possible from the very beginning. I like what Gailey does with the spread, but it seems better as a change of pace in the course of a game rather than the bread and butter of the O. It seems to me that there are now miles and miles of tape with this team's shotgun plays.
  7. I am George Bush and I aprove this message.
  8. I believe that Wanny would have put us over the hump this year if it was his defense. This is of course due to the rose colored glasses that I promptly put on after my alarm goes off.
  9. Polian was fired based on current events. 2-14 says it all.
  10. The entire team was told by Gailey that whoever draws a 15 yard penalty for celebrating or taunting that they would be benched for the game. SJ drew a 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalty and was benched. What is not black and white about that? The inconsistency of NFL officiating is well documented and is a different subject entirely from Gailey's edict to the locker room about drawing those types of penalties. I guess the lesson to the children out there should be stick to your principles and your word, unless it costs you something. Got it.
  11. Could Polian getting fired have anything to do with going from playoff lock to worst in the NFL in one season because of one injury?
  12. Great observations. I hope the Stache agrees.
  13. Bill Polian built a bad football team. Without Manning they are the worst team in football. Without Brady the Patriots were 11-5. Now consider the fact that the Colts are right up on the cap limit and are the worst team in football. Polian at this point in time is more legend than legitimate. Take away the Manning pick and how great exactly is his drafting.
  14. You are right, they would say it takes a lot longer than 4 years.
  15. You'll understand when your time comes. Civil unions are not immune.
  16. It's a harsh reality at this point in time. He is a moron.
  17. I think that Buddy is on to something by getting players that are either injury stricken players that could be great when healthy or just bad. With the advent of cloning body parts, new techniques in surgery and GH, they might be planning on Frankensteining some players together who were signed cheap that they don't have to resign.
  18. I did not realize that Chan threw any passes at all this season. Anyhow, Fitz made the decision to throw deep in short yardage situations when he thought he was seeing single coverage outside. To say that out of a 5 wide set that there were no short yardage zones being run is beyond stupid. In short yardage situations defenses tend to focus the coverages close to the line of scrimmage for obvious reasons. In third and long defenses tend to defend focus coverage on the middle to deep zones. If you think Fitz should be throwing to our current crop of receivers given his own shortcomings into 2 deep safety coverages 3rd and long ala Brett Farve you are crazy. It makes a lot more sense to throw to the guy that is open underneath and hope for a seam to run for a 1st down then to throw to Stevie and ??????????? where most of the secondary will be sitting. Fitz gets hit on almost every third and long play, you also have to consider that. If they were better on 1st and 2nd down we would not be having this thread.
  19. Smokers are not only losers, but are whiners too apparently.
  20. How are these similar situations again?
  21. The fact is that Whitner chose to sign with a team that offered less money than the Bills. If you want to make the argument that Dante is the lynchpin of the 9r's D however, I say enjoy the crayons while they last. You might as well huff paint.
  22. Stevie IS a playmaker. I will be shocked if he is not franchised next year.
  23. Williams lined up against Welker in game one. Williams will take a step forward in this game, just keep in mind that he is still a rookie. Williams' best football is still a few years away.
