  1. Thats not what Mayock thinks ! Of coarse he's not a Bills fan though ...
  2. He must be a depth player because there is a article on rumblings basically says the guy is a liability in a lot of coverages & needs to improve in many areas . I hope McD can turn him around !!
  3. I don't see why there isn't more interest in Rudolph !!
  4. I think its because of a couple things it has nothing to do with his ability's he's a really good QB . But when you down coach comes out & says he would pick a different QB at #1 thats a big ! 2 his injury history of concussions . 3 the talk of the possibility of his lack of leadership this that would be my guess . I have the same questions about Rudolph the guy has it all & i don't know why there isn't more talk about him in this draft & the national media has a woody for Allen going to the Bills i don't get it !!
  5. I would say ABSOLUTELY !! AJ is a winner , has won (given the chance) every where he has been i just think he needs to be given a legit chance like the Bills did Tyrod ! I just hope this wouldn't turn into the same situation as the Flutie/Johnson thing did !! That being said i think (no disrespect intended) cooler heads reside over this situation ...
  6. That wouldn't be as terrible as everyone here is thinking if Trumaine Edmunds would be there at 12 then with 22 pick up Rudolph i think that would be a pretty good 1/2 pick in the first round !!
  7. I tend to agree with what is said in the beginning of this article I hope the Bills get their guy but at what cost does it become worth it !! http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-1/Bills-Today-Avoiding-worst-case-draft-scenarios/fa925d1a-8a0f-4de0-bd12-c18200c9b241
  8. I hope he does drop to us & if he doesn't i've just got a good feeling about Rudolph if we got him i would be happy with that pick !! He is the "prototypical" size & his college stats seem to say he has the tangibles that could be coached up by Dabol ! Either of those picks would be good I just hope they don't sell the farm to trade up we need all the picks we can get !!
  9. I think Rudolph has shown he has the arm & the smarts but with all the so called experts putting him so low in the QB standings i think he will come out with a chip on his shoulder to try & prove them all wrong .. I also think there is a good chance that he could be there at either one of our picks which would be a better value than trading away our entire draft to get to number 2 . If you going to go big then go for #1 over all & have the pick of the litter & get the guy you want go big or go home !! don't settle for second best if thats what your going to do . The only thing that really scares me is if they miss & trade all that away because there is no guarantee that any one of these guys will be NFL caliber & the proof of that is the 83 draft not to mention RG3, Ryan Leaf & others that have come out with huge expectations ...
  10. I think a good prospect can be had at 12 & even at 22 i think one of the top 5 will be there but i would hate to go with the first example & wind up like we did with EJ wishing they would have waited ...
  11. Yes it is and the supposed cures can really put a body through hell Prayers for Mort & his family !!
  12. When all this QB talk started during the season i thought Rosen given his way of bringing his team back from a deficit & being able to win when the chips were down was my hands down pick for the Bills but since then there has been some speculation about his leadership skills which has me baulking about that pick . But i like this mock much better than the others that have the Bills giving up all 3 number 1's this yrs & next to move up to #2 that IMHO just seems foolish & doesn't seem to fit Beans or McD's way of doing things !!
  13. That wasn't my point at all (I personally don't think they should sell the farm to move up to get a QB) my point is with all the moves this regime has made some being very unpopular with the fan base & different from fans thoughts "Could" they go in a direction that we as fans aren't looking at ?? I don't think that that could be very far fetched of a scenario . This regime is looking to build the team for the future & to get the top LB from this draft wouldn't be a bad thing (if they can't get their QB guy) seeing as he would be here for at least his rookie contract that would be 4 yrs. There is also the possibility that at least one of the top QB's in this draft could still be there at 22 . If you go back & look at the 83 draft there were a bunch of what was perceived to be great QB's drafted but only 3 i believe are HOFers the rest did almost nothing with their careers in the NFL . So if the same again could be true in this draft there will be only a few of these QB's that wind up being really good so i for one would rather get more players to build upon & get a QB at a pick that would be a better value for the number they are chosen at rather than risk the possibility of losing out on what could be a haul of others to build around then having a QB that could be a not so good pick like EJ or Losman as stated in my post ! If their guy is there & can be had for reasonable draft capital have at it just 3 number 1's & numerous other draft picks from 18 & 19 to get a that isn't a for sure thing I'm just not in favor of ... Not to mention that Defense wins championships so the experts say !!
  14. Ever since the Bills have brought in the pairing of Mc Bean they have done things totally opposite of what the fans have thought, their collective vision is something different from anything Bills fans have seen in quite sometime. When the trades started to happen of the big name players that we all thought the team were to hang their hats on like Sammy, Dareus, Glenn the posts here & else where fans & "experts" alike weren't sure the process McD talked of was the right way to do things. In this draft all the talk surrounds the QB position (which we do need) & how the Bills are positioning them selves to go up & grab one of the top 5 listed as the best in this draft which we all know who they are because they have been slammed down our throat in almost every article we read weather here or on our favorite NFL web sights . I am starting to think that given what we have seen from the HC & GM of the Bills they could be thinking differently than most every one else due to their short history of moves made while here. McDermott while in Carolina saw what a gifted LB can do for the D in Kueckly & seeing as our D was one of the worst at stopping the run coupled with the loss of Preston in the middle I think this could be one of the Bills first picks in the draft this yr. if they stay at 12 or do a lessor move to say 8 which would be less costly in draft picks but more cost effective with the player chose by the move . There are 2 LB's this year that aren't getting as much talk as the QB's but are day one starters that would make an instant impact on the Bills D for yrs to come those 2 players being Trumaine Edmunds from VT & Roquan Smith from GA which Smith while watching his highlight film looks an awful lot like Kueckly the guy is everywhere on the field always making plays . Although Edmunds is much bigger & wreaks a ton of havoc in the back field (like another VT pass rusher the Bills took in the draft) either of these guys would be a better get at 12 rather than blowing our wodd on a QB that could wind up not being a NFL caliber QB which as we know with the draft of EJ, & Losman it can set the team back years ! Then with the second of the first round picks get their QB which would be less of a risk/reward pick & with the haul of other draft picks they have the team would be more set up for future greatness at a better cost . I also think with Mc Beans pick up of AJ that could have been part of their collective thinking that it gives them the possible bridge QB (and flexibility) if not a franchise guy if he is the guy he's been in his past to wait to see how things play out, after all Aaron Rogers fell & many other HOF QB's were taken later in the draft rather than at #1 or #2. So with all the talk around the draft & moving up, blowing out all of what they have gotten in draft picks with the "Experts" telling us what they always think will be the powers that be at One Bills Dr could have a totally different draft strategy from what we all think . I could be totally wrong because i'm just a fan but wanted to post a different train of thought than all this QB stuff !! Could this be a path taken by Mc Bean & company contrary to what the "experts" think ??
  15. The mocks are all over the place & i think McBean & company picked up AJ to have a bit of play in their decision . Then you through in the fact that Dabol is going to have a lot of input on which QB is drafted i think the guys doing the mocking & the fans could be very surprised with which direction they go . Dabol got to see some of the QB's coming out up close & personal & McBean & co. have said they are drafting for the future & haven't made any real rash moves it's all been very calculated . I can't wait to finally see what they do come draft day I think it's going to leave us all scratching our heads !! Like the scene at the end of the movie that leaves you going "I didn't see that one coming" !!
  16. Allen or the MLB from Ga !! But i would prefer the LB because that is a huge need & from everything they are saying that guy is the real deal ! I think AJ affords us that option & then get a QB with the 22 pick ... Defense wins championships !!
  17. If they are going to go for broke then go for the number one over all because the number 2 pick is going to cost all 3 number 1's the 2 this year & the other 1 for next year so if they are going to blow their wodd then just go for the first pick over all !! I hope they don't & Mc Bean & company get the LB out of GA with number 12 & then see where the rest of the QB's fall, at 22 there should be Rudolph, Jackson & who knows some are saying that Mayfield could quite possibly fall that far & if so they get a great MLB & a possible franchise QB & if nothing else a QB for trade bait like the Pats do overtime they turn around . Go Bills !!
  18. Super Mario was a really good signing while he was in B/lo the D was exceptional they just couldn't get the offense to do enough to win many games !! That has seemed to be the fate of the Bills it's always one side of the ball is good & the other side is bad if they could pull it all together we may stay a good team !!
  19. This was the guy that said the police picked on him & had him arrested for no apparent reason right ? What ever happened with that ?? Didn't they find out he was making it all up ? Now he goes out & beats up a little old lady, sounds like a law abiding citizen to me ... Good thing this didn't happen before he signed with his new team cause he may be sitting out this year .
  20. Personal opinions vary but the kid is in the top 5 QB's in the draft so if he's top 5 not sure that is a huge reach ! At 12 Jackson may be a better pick if still there . Now EJ on the other hand was a huge reach !! Seeing as a 6th round QB became the GOAT none of us know how these QB's will fair in the future ..
  21. That wouldn't be a terrible pick at 12 !!
  22. 4K may not mean franchise but as long as (like the rest of the post asks) he get's the Bills to a AFC east title & has that kind of record 11/5 or 12/4 then he should at least be in the conversation ! But don't forget there are those fans still out there that agreed we should have put Rob Johnson in in place of Flutie ??? Just Sayin
  23. Was listening to the J Murphy show yesterday & D Jones brought up a point that needs to be thought about when getting a QB which i believe should be used in evaluating either a rookie or veteran QB & that is their past history of winning . Also Daniel Jeremia said that comp % of a college QB doesn't compute to being a great NFL QB because of the system they were in in college & the better players & defensive schemes in the NFL . With all of that if the comp % is higher in the NFL (AJ's is in the 64% range) the thoughts on the QB are higher because it did translate to the NFL, given all of that thought that is why i think McCaron will be a great QB for the Bills ! He has won at every level & one of the things is maybe that scar as a kid (along with his very modest upbringing) made him more mentally tough ! In the game against the Steelers that he played in the Bengals were down & it looked like all was lost but he battled against the odds & if not for the fumble & penalties incurred by others on the team they would have won because of his mental toughness when all seemed lost so it was no fault of his . Plus i seem to remember some games in his college career which he did the same thing that's the guy i want leading the team when they are down late in the game , just as we all know when Brady is in the game it ain't over till it's over . i think AJ is that guy for us maybe his past which he said he came from nothing & has had to fight for all he has gotten with a good bit of success is the best attribute he has of his intangibles ! If that isn't the perfect blue collar fit for the Bills i don't know what is !! And yes i do have a man crush & will go on record to say he will become the Bills franchise guy !! Call me crazy but that's what i think !! Go Bills !!
  24. How do you figure with Levy & Brandon the amount of games were 32 each with Buddy he had 32 alone in the loss column which is a unfair comparison how many losses did Buddy have in just his first 32 game stretch that would be more accurate !!
