The reason why they are cash strapped is because of some of these players sure if we could get Ford at a decent price Beane might do it after the draft but i don't see him pulling the trigger before he may be able to get his much younger, much more cap friendly pass rusher for many more yrs than 1 in this draft if one falls to us which i for one am hoping for !!

At 54 the Bills will take? Your guess here!!

I have 2 If Espensa is there grab him but if not Chase Claypool there may be that one small chance that 1 of the 2 slide that far but it's a really small chance !! -
Article: McDermott Concerned about PSE Dysfunction
T master replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
WOW so much for bashing Haslem of the Browns ! I just hope it's not bad enough to make Beane & McD rethink their positions here in the not to distant future seeing as they have built something decent ! The Pegs should ask Bon Jovi if he would be interested in the Sabre's problem solved !! -
My Personal "Fan Crush" Players for the 2020 Draft !
T master replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gibson has more versatility than some other players he can do all that & more his versatility is what gets me he can take the place of 2 or 3 players on the roster now & fill their roster spots easily while learning . His use as a KR would be his first job, Andre runs a 4.4 & Gibson runs a 4.3 & on the third run on this video it shows his explosiveness as a kick returner on ST's not to mention if they go 5 wide he has WR skills so he would be a threat out of the back field a swiss army knife type player ! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZU8dfjXf9QE Andre Roberts, Isaiah Mckenzie can be replaced & if you take it a step further they could (i hate to say this) but get rid of Duke given Gibson's use & speed at WR, KR, & RB so they would get a player at a lower cost to take the spot of 3 players possibly & grab others that could help the cause . But i'm getting the feeling that he won't be there Philly's coach really likes him & seeing as the Bills don't pick before them cause of the trade for Diggs i think he will be gone if not to Philly another team has got him on their radar & it wouldn't surprise me if it was the Pats . -
Tre White - Best in the League?
T master replied to Houston's #1 Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Every Superman has their Kryptonite & Tre will have good & bad games but it's about that players ego what they think of themselves & their game ! Tre definitely knows he's a good player but doesn't get the accolades (because he's with the Bills) that he deserves which serves him well to be motivated to be better each year . That being said he's shooting for the top of list when it comes to a pay check & even though he may not become the king of that mountain it won't be because he's not trying to make it there . If Beane doesn't give him the type of numbers Tre feels he's worth you will see him do like every other player in his position wait to hit FA & then he will get top dog money which let's face it when it comes to loyalty the only "Loyalty" any of these players have is to the all mighty dollar greed is the biggest motivating factor in all that they do !! And as they are walking out the door in their statements they will say how much they appreciate the team they are leaving for giving them the chance to play for such a great organization & how they will always cherish their time they had with that team while they back up the truck to unload all there bags of cash ... -
Trade proposal (Jags/Jets, not Bills)
T master replied to Dkollidas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I for sure hope they don't do this trade i don't want the Bills to have to see that Ngakoue 2 times a yr ship his but out west some where & let Marrone & Gase wallow in their own great coaching acumen used so far to put them both at the top of their coaching game ? ! -
I give the worst to Maybin from the green room at the draft when they announced him being picked by the Bills you could see by his facial expression that he wasn't happy then every appearance after that when brought to Buffalo he just seemed disingenuous with any body language or facial expressions . He was a all around fake from the stage to the field which is to bad for someone to work that hard to make it at something they apparently love then to fail miserably would be such a personal disappointment but he did get a bunch of cash for his acting ability's so that probably helped out !! The best Bills pick for as far as where he was drafted & what he gave to the team & the city Kyle Williams by far !!
-
Use Yeldon to back up Singletary he's there any way . That's where his versatility comes in he could be on ST's as the kick returner while also being the #3 RB, the dude is a weapon something like 4.39 40 yd dash at his size the D would have to bring it all day once this kid got comfy in the scheme OMG !!

My Personal "Fan Crush" Players for the 2020 Draft !
T master replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think a 3rd round pick for him would be good i don't think he will be a 2nd rounder i hope Claypool is there at our 2nd round pick !! -
Has there ever been a study done of QB's comparing their personal success in the NFL to their wonderlic score ? Shoot Fitz was the highest score ever right ? & although he is a great all around team mate & a decent QB if his wonderlic score has anything to do with his QB score he should have won multiple SB's by now right ? I wonder if there is any data that they look at when it comes to figuring that stuff out before they pull the trigger in the draft ! What was Teabo's wonderlic score that dude was off the charts good in college & now he does what he does, it has always baffled me why some of those guy like Teebo, Lienatrdt, Akili Smith, & so many others just couldn't make the switch i as a fan would think it's ball . Get Ball, Play Ball, score with Ball YAY i know it's not that easy but you get what i'm saying ? well this is a Bills blog probably not ... ?

My Personal "Fan Crush" Players for the 2020 Draft !
T master replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I didn't know Claypool was a ST's player too even better ! That was a big reason why i like Gibson he played 3 positions in college but i imagine him to be our Derrick Henry to compliment Singletary & he wouldn't have to be a starter as a RB because of Yeldon . He also did KR's in college, with his 4.39 speed he could fill that gap while learning the O scheme to be the 3rd RB . -
I totally agree that EJ shouldn't have been taken where he was he was not a 1st round QB & because the Bills fan base was starved for a QB put a lot of expectations on him . i do think he could have benefitted from more stability but i don't think he was as good as Josh as far as talent but he was a team guy & when he got here you could tell he was excited to be a Bill unlike some other 1st round Bills picks !

Every year at this time we all have our thoughts on who the Bills should draft & while reading all there is to bring those players into focus we all develop some preconceived thoughts on who would be the best picks for McBeane to bring in to help the team now & into the future . I for one thought that Russel Wilson should have been brought in when he was in the draft , Kalil Mack was another & there are many more that i had a fan crush on for the Bills ! This year i'm in the same mode reading about all the talent looking forward to the draft to off set this boredom that we are all engulfed in & i have come up with this years fan crush es for this years draft . Seeing as the Bills draft doesn't start till the second round i'm in hopes that a player like AJ Epenesa is there with our first pick in the 2nd round he could have a immediate impact & it would be a good pick for the Bills future on defense seeing as most of the DE's are in their 30's ! Then in the 3rd round i hope Chase Claypool is there at the Bills pick, he is the size that is missing from the WR room & his speed is just another plus, then when we get to the 4th round i hope that Antonio Gibson is our pick his size, speed & versatility are all things that Dabol could putt o good use in our offense & McD loves plus he would be a great compliment to Singletary in the back field !! Do you all think that there is any possibility that these players could be available at our picks this year ? These 3 are my Fan Crush for this years draft . I believe that if these could be the Bills picks it would be a great draft & the future for the Bills would be out standing ! GO BILLS !!
-
EJ was always a pro Bills type player & like our QB now had a lot of the same type of things said about him as they were said about Josh but unlike Josh had way to many coaching changes & support from those coaches to further his career in a positive way ! Josh & EJ were both athletic QB's with a good arm but their accuracy had issues but i think that Josh is in a much better position due to the stability McBeane & company have brought to the team . If Josh was in the same situation as EJ i think his future could very much resemble that of EJ's & other QB's that the Bills have brought in over the years .

Article on former Bills player Neil O'Donoghue
T master replied to BritBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nope don't remember him but that could have been a part of the drug induced coma i was in in the late 70's & 80's ? just saying ? -
T.O. brought memories to the field that season & a buzz to the fan base . He also holds a record with the Bills for the longest pass play in Bills history & Fitz threw the ball to him I was excited to see him come to B/lo & although is a very small part of Bills history until someone breaks his record will continue to have that very small piece of the Bills record books .

Beane: Not even contemplating trading up to 1st round
T master replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
after the Diggs trade i didn't think Beane would try the only way he would even consider it is if there was a generational type player in the draft then he might pull a D "Ditka" & package it all to move up but that;s just not his style, Whaley on the other hand was a but anxious on draft day but not Beane even if he was thinking that i think McD would real him back in !! -

T master replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Given Brady's history with TE's if the kid still has any talent slightly comparable to what he showed in college Brady might be the guy to bring that out of him as for the "Experts" they have been wrong on a lot of players in the draft so it wouldn't surprise me if they were wrong on him . That's another thing i like about Beane & company they seem to find the diamond in the rough the guy that in their college career was under utilized or hyped due to what they did in college like Knox & Singletary sure he will have miss steps here & there like the KB trade but so far his draft choices & observations of players in the draft have been good for the team . Go Bills !! -

T master replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
From anything i had heard of him coming out of college is that this guy was the next Gronk type TE projected to be a great player in the NFL by the "Experts" given what he did in college & apparently what they saw on his college tape i'm thinking because if you don't play well in college which is before your NFL career there won't be much hype & he had a bunch of hype coming into his draft . Too wouldn't your potential be based off of what the again "Experts" saw of him on his game tape from college ? ?? -
They need to sign these guys early start talking to them now to let them know they want them around for the long term don't give them a chance to test the market because then they are gone especially when they find out what some wing nut like Daniel Snyder is willing to pay for players that he doesn't have on his roster ! Just look at what Norman got paid by Snyder if TDW is able to test the market he's gone ... Make it happen McBeane !!

If this is by some chance true it would rank right up there with what O'Brien did with Hopkins especially brining in Brady knowing his history with good TE's in the league i think this is speculation or a smoke screen . Either that or this kid isn't anything near what his college tape showed him to be & if they are getting rid of him what is the scoop on him Arians could use this guy with Brady at the helm on offense don't see it happening . -
For those that want a RB in the first few rounds
T master replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Todays NFL as far as RB's are concerned is much different from back in the day as you & I well know todays back field is a RB by commity type approach unless you find a Derrick Henry type back that is big & can take the pounding, i for one would like a back that is different from Singletary he is a smaller type back that as Beane said can make guys miss in a phone booth but his speed isn't elite . McD loves versatility in his players & i have read some on a player that would be a good get in the later rounds if there & the Bills could focus on CB, OL, DE or safety with the earlier picks . My guy is Antonio Gibson as a late round RB with a ton of versatility he could play ST's as a KR & be the #3 RB while doing that to learn from Singletary & Yeldon . He is just about as different (yet a compliment) to Singletary as you can get, dude runs a 4.39 / 40 is 6'2" tall & 220 lbs with room to add muscle if he's there in the 4th that would be a great get & it could do away with some higher priced contracts & get the team younger at the same time plus add a all around weapon to 3 aspects of the team RB, ST's & receiving skills . He's got my vote . -

Which running back do you hope the Bills draft and why?
T master replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think if he is there in the 3rd that might be a good place to pick him up at definitely the 4th if he's there & he could be the RB 3 behind Motor & Yeldon due to his versatility . He could take th place of Andre Roberts & for that matters with his speed he could also replace Isiah Mckenzie because of his WR skills in college . I was looking at past HOF RB's & he has the same size (6' 2" 220 lbs) as 2 all time greats this being Jim Brown (6' 2" 220 lbs) & Eric Dickerson (6' 3" 238 lbs), now I'm not saying he is either of those but given his speed 4.39 / 40 matched with his size i think he could be a very versatile weapon coming out of the backfield or lining up in 4 WR sets . If he were to focus on KR's & RB he could develop with the right coaching to be a really good player IMHO. But i ain't no expert just a fans hunch .
