Bruce Smith - Speak for Yourself video
T master replied to TroutDog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bruce was definitely one of a kind there is a lot that the new generation could learn if they would take some time to get their faces out of the "Smart Phones" & pay more attention to what's around them but the days of young people working hard in any physical way like Bruce and others did from a different era i believe is long gone !! There are some youngsters coming up that have that in them but the numbers are dwindling as time goes by ... -
Alex Smith- Happy 36th Birthda- doing drills and Throwing
T master replied to Mango's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
WOW !! that's awesome that he's able to get back to that point but i would be petrified at a 260 lb LB coming at me full steam i think the mental part of his recovery might be harder than the physical part ? then there is the question with the new staff in washington will Rivera want Smith as a viable starter sure his veteran leadership would be great . I don't think Rivera would be starting him & as far as trade bait i think you can forget it unless of course Bellichek comes calling which is a possibility and would be a great fit for Smith. I wouldn't put it past the Pats they have a unproven player in Stidham, Hoyer is who we thought he was, the others are nothing more than camp arms . Smith could want to go to a place where he is more apt to have a good chance of starting and more than likely would take less cash to prove he still has what it takes ... -
Here's my question, if they do show up out of shape will either McD or Beane except that players excuse for not being in shape & how long will they keep him around i would think given all the free time if they show up like Karlos did over weight & out of shape those 2 would see right through them as not a fit for the Bills !! As long as there wasn't a family emergency i think their future in B/lo would at least be on double secret probation ? until they could prove to them worthy of being a Bills player !!

Mario Addison meets with media 5/4
T master replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He had a lot of positive vibes around every thing he said even if his production was to dip a bit i think he will be a good presence in the locker room & hoping that Jerry can stay healthy this season could not only help Addison but having him on the opposite side of Jerry could help him out too i think it could be a win for both players at this stage of their careers !! I think he was a good get for the Bills !! -

Saw that article it's pretty crazy but who ever signed & sent out those checks should be hung in the square & let the people that the money could have helped throw tomatoes or potatoes at them !! At the very least they need to be fired !! -
Opinions on a hypothetical trade
T master replied to offsides#76FredSmerlas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Seeing as A.J. Green is coming off basically a 2 yr injury & Smoke has been out there every game and is very dependable i would say just stick with what we got for the simple fact that you don't know about players coming off injury . It usually takes a player coming off injury a yr to get back to his old self Smoke will come back & be good but will Green ? Yes if he was totally healthy and played as he did before his injury's but the unknown is what's scary will he come back and have a season like Kroft did last yr or continue his unfortunate path with another injury we won't know until he's playing . But where there's Smoke there's Fire so I'll stick with Smoke ... So hypothetically saying NO THANKS !! -
Plus didn't Brown bring some offensive innovation to the game as far as the passing game went ? BB took all he learned from those that came before him & perfected it to the point he's at now . If you put BB ahead of Brown that would be like saying all the guitar players that copied Eddy Van Halen are better than he is but they copied him ? .

What is the one spot on the roster that still has a hole?
T master replied to Buffalo03's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well at least Beane is working on it he brought in A.J. Klein, Mike Bell, Tyler (which he is ST's) plus Joseph then isn't Mike Love a LB ? he was having a really good preseason last yr when his injury hit him, hopefully he can come back to form this season so it's not like the cupboard is bare but knowing Beane he's still hard at it & will find a few more besides those already on the team . -
Talk of no alcohol at NFL games this season.
T master replied to Jrb1979's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
After watching the video's of Bills Mafia diving off of small bridge type over passes onto tables it might be a good thing but maybe they could replace it with some gonna then their wings sales would go through the roof it's a win win !! -
I was wondering with Coach Shula's passing which other coaches were in the same conversation as Shula ? As we know the Lombardi is named after one but just who else were some of the coaches that had the best records while leading their respective teams in the NFL . https://athlonsports.com/nfl/25-greatest-head-coaches-nfl-history I felt our Bills coach Marv levy would be mentioned as a great coach because of what he did while with the Bills but this tells a little bit about each of the best of the best since the beginning of the NFL .

It seemed as though last season some of the losses the Bills had were very close like they say just 1 or 2 plays from a victory & i believe that Diggs will be those 1 or 2 plays per game to make the difference ! In the play off game sure there was the missed tackles on the Texans QB but if Knox or Duke either of which would have caught that ball in the end zone different outcome. If Diggs can do more than just 1 or 2 then the Bills will be dominant over the teams they play can't wait to see how it unfolds !! GO BILLS !!!!

Can our #2 WR consistently beat one on one coverage
T master replied to Old Coot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just thinking if Brown is the consensus #2 or Beasley they did it pretty regular last year & then you throw Diggs in there & he will be taking some of the heat off the others IMHO it will open up the rest of them & if not who ever shuts this group down will have 1 heck of a defense or Josh will be really bad that day . -
He was in his glory days when i first got into being a Bills fan "Miami's got the Oranges but we got the Juice" yah great coach & those teams WOW ! Czonka, Kick, Morris, Warfield, a lot of really good players at that time good memories !! RIP coach !!

Any Bills Cut candidates with trade value?
T master replied to Dkollidas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Given his cap hit & if Espenesa shows just why the Bills drafted him then yes i could see them try to get something for Murph even though he is a decent player & they got production out of him but with a injury such as his this could be his year . Usually guys that have ACL's take a year to get back in the groove then the comfort of playing with out fear comes back & they ball out so you never know but Murph has a high motor & is a good team player maybe they ask him to restructure his deal but i'm not thinking he'll go for that being his last year in this contract . Even if he does stick around given the youth at his position this will more than likely be his last in a Bills uni !! -
I didn't even know all that were on there so i looked & here is the list up to now . O.J. - 80 Kemp - 84 Patrick J. McGroder -85 ?? Tom Sestak - 87 Billy Shaw - 88 Ralph - 89 12th Man - 92 Elbert Dubenion - 93 Mike Stratton - 94 Joe Ferguson - 95 Marv - 96 Joe D. - 97 Robert James - 98 ? Ed Abramoski - 99 ? Bob Kalsu - 2000 Kelly - 01 Smerlas - 01 Kent Hull - 02 Talley - 03 Pitcher - 04 Thurman - 05 Reed - 06 Tasker - 07 Bruce - 08 Booker E. - 10 Hansen - 11 Pollian - 12 Van Miller - 14 Saban - 15 Gilchrist - 17 For those like me that didn't know who all was on there . I put a ? by the players i never heard of sorry i guess i'm not as big of a fan as i thought but there are so many others deserving of going on the wall & if Ralph wouldn't have had what ever case of the ass he had for Saban he should have been one of those on the wall first i would have liked to here both sides of that story ! It's hard to pick just one but Kenneth Davis is one dude just showed up & was a Bills team player the reason why i picked him is because he was always there ready to go when Thurman went down & given a full time roll may have been as good as Thurm well maybe not but he was good ! If there are some i missed please post them too !!

He's a Buffalo Bills QB so until he can show with some consistency that he can continue to win & do it convincingly then he won't get any respect because he plays for the Bills even with all the hype the so called experts are heaping on them . This year (if it goes off) will be a big year for Josh & all will find out just what kind of QB he is, he has every weapon a QB could ever need to succeed now alls he has to do is his job !! I know you all will cringe at what i'm about to say but can you imagine lets say TB 12 with the weapons that Josh has ? he would just cut up most any one that got in his way the tools are definitely in the shed lets hope Josh has studied enough to know how to use them properly ..

Alex Smith Injury-Redskins Cap Space
T master replied to JetsFan20's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can't blame Smith for wanting his cash he was playing for the Skins at the time of the injury & because it happened while playing in a game i would think that if he couldn't come back the contract should be honored it may be different if he's out screwing around & he gets hurt but his was while honoring his side of the contract . If i had that kind of cash coming i would do most everything i had to ignorer to get it ! As far as him playing again i'm pretty sure with the change over in washington he won't be under any center soon for that team unless it's as a camp body, given the fact the coaching staff that brought him in is no longer there I'c say he's done for the Skins the only thing left for him to do is to collect his money . With all the FA QB's with out a job still i'm think his chances of playing again are pretty slim which definitely puts the Skins in a bad place as far as cap space & money's owed ... If they release him then the Skins are nothing but a big turd but Snyder has spent more bad money than most on players at least Smith was a good player with bad misfortune . -
E:60 Project 11 about Alex Smith - Must See TV
T master replied to BisonMan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I watched a short piece of it, it was the part where they were showing his leg when it had the black boils on it he was in pretty bad shape & is very lucky to still have his leg by the looks of that piece of the video . I wonder if he will ever come back & if so will he ever be the same that must be a pretty traumatic thing to have went through just his leg being broken not including the infection & all . It must be a Redskins curse thing ? -

I guess mine would have to be the 1990/1991 season the team was just killing it & could barely be stopped they went 13 & 3 they were in the SB where every one had them picked to win it looked like a sure thing then every one blamed Norwood for losing it when in reality it was the D that let it all slip through their hands, Literally to give the Giants the win . If that's not the most disappointing season i don't know what is ! I was decked out in all Bills gear sure we had a win that year & they let it slip away, the only SB to be won by 1 point with 8 seconds on the clock (SO CLOSE) & if the D would have made 2 more talks & at the end if they would have gotten another 5 yds closer the Bills would have had it on the leg of Norwood !

I like the fact that the Bills have a FB on the roster when he was brought in from ATL he was held as 1 of the best in the league i just wish they would use him more as a weapon like the 9ers use their FB (I'd spell his name but don't have a clue) . All the so called "Experts" say the running game is no longer relevant in the NFL but it seems that every team that wins the SB has a pretty dam good running game just saying . Then there's the thing of a RB by commity which sure it's great for those guys to have less wear & tear but i miss those games the a back just catches his groove at like 25+ carries & it could still be that way . Henry last year for the Titans is a NFL rarity now and they say his type don't exist any more but i'm sure the Bus & others disagree i think the entire RB by commity is more to have a different plan of attack than it is because the RB's can't play more plays these guys have a lot more technology about nutrition, and health than they ever use to so i think RB's could play as much as they use to it's just not what the evolution of coaching has in mind for the future of the NFL RB .

Report: Bills we’re taking Dugger at 54 if he was there
T master replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Epenesa was slotted as a first round talent & in some circles compared to Chase Young as one of the top DE's in this draft and i'm stoked he was there at the Bills pick, I'm pretty sure given Beane's history that if both players were there at their pick he would have taken Epenesa because of his profile by most NFL evaluators . I find it hard to believe that no other team took him before he got to the Bills pick but i sure am glad he was !! With the young core players of Epenesa, Harry, Oliver, Edmunds, Millano, White, this D should be able to be a force for quite a while ? !! GO BILLS !!! -
Harrison Phillips talks Buffalo- seems like a great guy
T master replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought he was a good pick it sucks that he got hurt last season & i think he will come back with a vengeance this year, i hope he can be a Bill for life he has all the attributes that legendary Bills players have & he loves being here not to mention he is all about TEAM !! Let's hope Harry is around for a long time ...
