  1. When they stop giving up gobs of yards on the ground, get bullied by good O Lines, actually cover a TE and get off the field on 3 and 15, I will say they have improved. It's not a SB defense and we haven't done anything to date to improve it. Gettng one rotational DT back is not going to fix this D.
  2. I grew up with the Eyewitness news team. Azar was tops. I know the Carballada family, great people. Sad day.
  3. I often throw in 5Tech in sentences as well. Then start to add in offense formations, even when I'm by myself. Can't get enough of it.
  4. This is where I am...at least I hope it's the case.
  5. True but our SB window is now.
  6. Why take the chance? Sanders stop and go and wiggle creates instant separation. Smoke was more of a full speed all the time guy. He's going to be an upgrade.
  7. Yep. That's the one. Jeebus, I had to look at that for a while to take it all in. For not a big guy Sanders is rugged, much like Diggs and Beasley. You can't sit in cover 2 and rough up our wide outs anymore.
  8. Every TE's best game was against the Bills.
  9. The Sanders/ Brown comparison charts are eye-opening. If he still has his wheels, he is going to make this already potent offense a beast to defend.
  10. Not improving our edge rush and 1 tech DT is going to prove to be a major miss this season. Remember it when we can't get off the field on 3rd and 15 and give up 8 to 10 yard runs regularly.
  11. Could be about the Sabres. Any unemployed coaches out that way?
  12. You don't have to be a top 5 D, but you can't get bulldozed every play and routinely give up 3rd and 15 because you have squat for a pass rush. Need a 1 tech, pass rusher and CB 2.
  13. Yes, precisely why they got crushed by TB. And if they don't beefup their OL, they're in for another b-slapping by a great D with a great pass rush.
  14. Agree, though if your quoting McD it's "iron sharpens iron."
  15. They cut both their starting OTs, not DEs.
  16. With our present D we will get pushed down the field regularly and hope they make a mistake in their 12 -15 play drives so we hold them to FGs. Then hope Josh can bail us out.
  17. Tell that to Tampa Bay and get Mahomes take on it as well.
  18. S Law is consistently negative, but he's not always wrong. I hope Beane's day 4 bargain signings will be enough to shore up our trenches and add some physicality to this D. The Pats are now built to grind us down and play ball control. Unless we load the box we can't stop the run and never could cover a good TE. NE's got two good TEs now.
  19. We cannot cover a TE, soft against the run and can't get off the field on 3rd and long. We need to sign some talent on D.
  20. Caps are fungible, we need to add talent on D because the AFC East will be a dog fight this year.
  21. Overpaid or not, NE has added considerable talent in all the areas needed to exploit our soft run D and TE coverage, to go along with our weak push rush. Let's hope our bargain signings can keep pace .
  22. We were the NFL worst team covering TEs last year and have long been unable to do so. Our D is soft against the run and terrible at covering TEs. BB is building a team to exploit both. We haven't responded as of yet. Gotta believe Beane toughens the trenches and finds a big nickel solution. Edmunds Is a liability against NE
  23. Well, not wanting to interrupt the happy narrative but I don't see us better with this signing. I love Feliciano's attitude and heart, but not a big fan of the product. He's average and will consistently lose against top talent. I was hoping for an upgrade at RG and would have loved to have Feliciano as #1 interior back up. But that is starting guard money. Rather have spent the coin on a pass rusher.
  24. I hope the Hell not. Much rather have those two than Milano.
