  1. Perfectly plausible that the Brownies may be better than us this year. We have a solid roster but they have an elite RB, receiver, pass rusher, a solid draft that will play day one, and a QB who made strides last year. They also have a really good OG, grrr. Let's hope Star's return really makes a difference, Epenesa & Oliver take a step up, CB 2 is figured out, Cody Ford is good and Morse stays concussion free. All in, we still have Josh, which may be the difference maker.
  2. Apparently Brieda is the speed back. Seems McBeane is happy with what we have.
  3. I have to agree with a lot of this. We have a solid roster top to bottom but far less elite talent than the Browns or KC and possibly Miami. Will our new Dline additions prove better than KC's Oline additions? We'll see. Team speed on D is also a question mark and until we can get off the field on 3rd and long I remain suspect on our SB chances.
  4. Ar 6'8" these guys aren't going to be kicked inside. Kind of a flip from the usual versatility mantra.
  5. Maybe, but not any more than it hurt other QBs. Arrowhead is one loud bowl for sure. If Josh has shown us anything it's his ability to work on his short comings and make them strengths.
  6. Listening to the Pats morons on radio. They have this crazy theory that Josh will flame out this year because he can't play with crowd noise. They feel he improved in 2020 because of empty stadiums. Christ, what a pathetic a fan base. Oh, and Mac will be as good as Brady pronto.
  7. The way his his team is built there are always too many men on the field. Why do you say that? He looks to have the makings of a solid pro career.
  8. Any CB2 better than what we have.
  9. Miami added some elite talent and speed. They will be formidable. It all comes down to Tua. Is he all they think he is? I'm not sold, but thank God they didn't get Pitts. NE added a ton of ovepaid talent and a perfect QB for their system. Remains to be seen if all those new additions will mesh. Bellicheat is getting long in the tooth. Jets added some great talent but it will take a few years to see if they got it right. Bills will win the division but it's going to be a dogfight
  10. We'll see. I expect Melifonwu will see the field for many more snaps in his first year than our pick. After 58 years of following this team I am far more concerned with hitting this rare SB window than I am about the future.
  11. I've been here long enough to defer to Beane and not to you. Time to see Dane Jackson produce. Melifonwu will be a starting CB. I respect your opinion but lose the "Cuse" crap. I could care less about that. We need a CB2, and J liked what Melifonwu brings. Time will tell.
  12. Simplistic response. I wanted him not because he played at Cuse but because he'd be a day 1 starter at a position of need and not a project. We need a CB 2 and not a collection of UFDAs, washed up vets or hopeful 7th round picks.
  13. Don't hate the pick but I wanted Melifonwu. Immediate starter and solid CB2. We are lacking at CB.
  14. Be nice if we could actually move a Dline when we need one yard. I want to get big and mean in the trenches.
  15. Nonsense. We cycle our DEs to keep them fresh.
  16. This ^ Got to trust McBeane on this. I have to believe our Dline coach, Jerry and Mario are going to have this kid producing by the time the playoffs come around - exactly when we'll need him.
  17. Makes you appreciate Beane's judgment and stones to grab a guy so universally panned - and I was chief among the naysayers. So Beane did outsmart them all and I am happy to eat crow.
  18. Woulda, coulda. I just thinkyou are pawning the future on one guy. Too rich for my blood. We need some inexpensive replacements soon for a lot of this roster.
  19. I just got the Sammy Watkins shakes. And that was peanuts compared to this haul of picks to give up.
  20. By keeping the other team from scoring every time they have the ball so Josh doesn’t have to score every time we have the ball.
