It would be good feeling to have Rex and Orton in the bullpen.

I have in preseason. Let's see a few games in the regular season. I'm upbeat about our tackles and center and hopeful the guards pan out. The FO went heavy in the draft on the OL and it looks like two hits and one whiff. These are big boys and if they gel, could be dominant. But yeah, not looking great this preseason.

My internalization is the FO is operating in a "one and done" atmosphere with a new owner coming in. I don't think they would pay $5 mil for a back-up if they did't fully intend on using him If EJ falters. To me, they are operating in a "just win baby" mode and they'll do some short term things to make it so.

You cannot argue this FO hasn't made significant strides. It has and we have more talent than we've had in a decade. The coaching this preseason has shaken my faith however, and that is a FO issue if this season goes south. The latest cuts and the Orton signing are positives, for me at least. It can't be easy to operate with new ownership hanging like a sword over their heads.

He did fine, thank you, behind an even crappier line under Chan. They don't know how to use him. He's better off someplace that does.

I'm not actually that far from where you are on this. But I can certainly understand other's concern. It was disturbing to see the confusion on assignments, poor run blocking and difficulties with speed rushers. But they are big boys and we need to see a few real games before hitting the panic button.

Makes sense to PS him. Orton's not going to learn the playbook in a week. Stupid to wait this long but at least they finally acted on it. Now it's back to the EJ watch. Really?

Homey and No Saint are right. With all the injuries and uncertainty the offense faced last year, the OC did not adapt. He just lamely ran his break neck speed offense without sufficient personnel. Again, Hell bent on running his offense without regard for the players he had to work with and in turn put the D in untenable situations. Pettine on the other hand played to the strength oh his players.

I don't hate any coach, but I don't have much faith in Hackett. His hurry up and punt offense is frustrating to watch. To me he seems Hell bent on running his system without regard instead of playing to the strengh of the players he has. Hence the lack of impact from CJ and the inability to pick up a yard when needed. We'll see and judge in a few months from now. I hope he proves me wrong.
