  1. And this sums it up about right. I liked the seam pass to Williams. It showed he trusts his guys to make a play.
  2. Like Brown, CJ already runs to the outside. He's not an INside back.
  3. Don't know if you were around for the 1963 to 66 years. I was. We've had about 20 decent years out of 50. I'll take 9-7 in a heartbeat! Teams have won SB's with record that or worse. We have a decent shot at the playoffs and I am excited for t.
  4. Nice work OP. Thank you. while I realize Orton it's not the second coming, but given this kind of performance we would have won at least one of the last two games. It's somewhat comforting.

  6. Garoppalo looks pretty good right now vs our 2nd round pick,
  7. Dad always said there'd be threads like these.
  8. We'll see. Tell me you're not more hopeful with EJ gone .
  9. You have to be able to make a simple pass to have a defense not stack the box. Maybe he should have gone to the wishbone - but, oh yeah, EJ won't run as well as can't pass. It the NFL man, you need basic competency from a QB. This game was lost because of the QB.
  10. Shouldn't be starting threads in homeroom
  11. For most here it should stand for long ass meaningless post.
  12. Please just stop. I'm not a big Hackett fan but our receivers were open on most plays and EJ couldn't hit the water throwing from a boat.
  13. Just watched a masterful performance by a number 1 pick who's team gave up on him and traded him away. EJ should keep working like Alex Smith did.
  14. Let's hope Orton's tank ain't empty. The AFC Least is up for grabs!
  15. Marcia looks so sad......he's wondering why the refs didn't help him.
  16. Yawn. At the end of the day, your record is,what you are. Talent and potential doesn't win games.
  17. Just draft a guy who is accurate. You can't seem to teach that. Don't care if he's tall or small, if he can hit a open receiver in stride should be the number 1 litmus test.
  18. You are what your record says you are.
  19. So what If he does? It's a team game, he's on the team and the coach thinks he gives us a better chance to win. EJ would still be the starter if the coaches believed he was progressing - he wasn't. He was incapable of making the basic reads and throws a pro QB must make. It's a swing and a miss on 1st round QB. Happens all the time. Move on and draft another QB, then another until you get a good one. Orton's got a track record to suggest he will give a better chance to win. Last I checked, that's the FN reason we play the games.
  20. Calm down. EJ has a chance to work on his game now and we have a chance to win what were winnable games. Orton's no messiah but he can make basic throws, and we haven't had that out of EJ.
  21. Marrone put his head on the block by picking an OC ill prepared for the NFL. He also mishandled the QB situation the past 2 years. What really disappoints me about him is his handling of the offensive line. It's supposed to be his expertise...Yeesh.
  22. Defenses aren't worried about EJ running because he doesn't. I would easily trade the running threat for a QB that can make basic throws and see open receivers.
  23. Once all our LB's healthy and an added CB, the future looks good. Gotta replace KW sooner or later, no easy task.
