  1. This is where I am. Followed this team since 1963. The last 17 years of quick fixes and rudderless leadership took a toll. This feels right. It feels like a real foundation for the future.
  2. TSW calls this a shocker! The Patriots call it Friday.
  3. Hey, everybody's crying about a franchise quarterback. Well next year's draft we're loaded with picks! Sammy and Darby weren't going to play into the long-term plans and they had lots of value now. I think this is going to be a longer-term build and Beane and McDermott know what they want. Not going to be a fun year for us but hey let's see. This is a very Patriots-like thing to do.
  4. Agreed. Once he started getting into the game you could see his instincts were there. He needs confidence and some time to get his burst back.
  5. Is that a rhetorical question? This is TSW! It just doesn't feel right without a QB controversy.
  6. We need to step back on all of this "work with the ones" talk. The kid did well, made some good and bad throws. He earned a look with the twos and see how he does.
  7. Like to see Peterman work with the twos this week.
  8. Tolbert looked good. He's a tank that can run.
  9. Well, we're hoping. From where I sit TEs and RBs are going to have a career days against us. But, let's give'em a chance.
  10. I was never a fan of his but sorry, Flutie didn't give us a better chance to win. I didn't mind anything else he said, but why go there?
  11. All we had to do was cover a kick. He had us ahead with seconds remaining.
  12. Damn, we have to rely on media? Thanks Astro. You're my first read during TC.
  13. Just stay on the field Sammy. I for one can't wait the see Gilmore do his disappearing act on a Tolbert power sweep.
  14. Once DCs figured Flutie out he was average at best. He was a nice story but a meh QB. As I recall our special teams couldn't cover a kick return in the waning seconds of a game, following a RJ TD pass to Moulds. I think that knocked us out of the playoffs.
  15. Well, the OP's take is a completely plausible scenario given tbe last 17 years, but I don't see the wheels coming off like that with this coach and team. I will say I share the OP's opinion about our LBs and our ability to cover TEs & RBs. I think it's going to be a long year in that regard.
  16. Disappointed that Gerald Hodges isn't stepping up and claiming The starting job.
  17. He should read Astro's posts and see how one properly covers a practice for the board. That was 10 pages of crap I could have lived without.
  18. +1. Maybe a retool but not a rebuild.
  19. Hey we agree. Love to have him. I just don't want to overpay or limit are cap to pick up someone who may be a longer term fit. My point is if Beane can get him for the value he sets, big thumbs up. Of not, I can deal with it.
  20. At the end of the day how many games will Boldin win for us? Likely none. If Beane gets him on his terms, fine. If not, let's let this new regime steer the course for the team that they envision and we hope for.
  21. Ageist. I'm 62 and revelled in the AFC championship years and SB years. Lived through 2-12 seasons and this latest mediocrity. I will never quit on them but if I see the same-old, same-old, I am going to call them on it. Things improve, point that out as well. So I can't fault anyone rolling their eyes at another Dareus issue. He's the definition of underachiever.
  22. A good soldier bitches. Lighten up kool-aid cop. BTW, I'm a Bills fan since 1963.
  23. Shouldn't that be toke? Well, it was back in the day.
