Tolbert served his purpose on special teams and team culture change....completely agree he is a waste as a RB. Clay was a flyer/so what...maybe it works maybe it doesnt, just like the draft pick he was traded for....im good with Kelvin, he has shown what he can do when a QB trusts him enough to throw the ball up for him to get it.

Do we make the upset in Foxboro?
PaattMaann replied to Braedenstearns's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Pats wouldnt be resting anyone this week even if they had home field locked up...that aint BBs style (or any coaches style...who would bench players for two/three with the bye, weeks??? talk about rust) How about unfortunately for us, we have to play the best team in the league and win, on their turf, to realistically make the playoffs? Nevermind what they are playing for, they are just way superior of a team....but, any given sunday -
how and why?

Shady better make it...hes 6th in the NFL in yards from scrimmage and is the only reason the Bills have even the most remotest of chances to make the playoffs for the first time in 100 years

So if we end up 9-7 and lose a tie-breaker...

Chargers game will be the worst one due to head to head tie breaker that we will likely lose to them -
Will Bills Honor McCoy when career over

agreed, those trades (aside from Dareus, could have waited until season was over and done the same, and probably got a little more for him) were with the future in mind and should have been made...great trades really Getting rid of Shady would be the exact opposite...there has been zero drop off in his game, he is, and should be, the focal point of our offense for the next couple of years. Bring in a RB, keep Cadet, and it will keep Shady fresh (even though his 30 plus carry performance against Indy showed the "old man" can still tote the rock all day). Shady is great for the offense, great for the team, great for the fans, great for the city....no reason for Shady to go ANYWHERE until he retires, or shows a true noticeable decline in play -

he went in as a football player...all teams he played for, like all other HOF players, are listed in his spot -

thats a good and fair question...I see Shady sticking around for a couple more years and likely getting to the 12K mark here...IF we make it to the playoffs and Shady is a major part of that I can see the Bills honoring him.. At the end of the day, for me personally, I don't really care. Shady is already one of my favorite Bills (that IS saying something) for what he has done on the field and especially off the field. He is a true class act who is also an incredible running back for us. Love how he takes care of his teammates - especially his linemen. Love how he interacts with the fans. Love his charitable work. Shady is the man and I am proud he's on our team! -

if you check hall of fame website, they list all teams played for, there is memorabilia from all teams they played for, if you search by franchise players who played for multiple teams are listed under all franchises they played for (like check out Reggie White) So sounds like maybe you are just concerned if Shady picks an eagle or a bill to speak for him at the HOF induction ceremony? I guess...who cares? I love that Shady has loved Buffalo since he actually arrived, sure when he was traded he was upset...hes been in PA his whole life and the trade came out of nowhere...but now considers Buffalo home, loves it here and wants to finish his career here. When his career is over, he will have been a tremendous Eagle AND Bill. -

I heard it on a radio interview the other day...I am trying to remember who they were interviewing about the HOF but he explained that in the NFL you dont choose to be inducted for any one team, you just get inducted and they honor all teams you played for in your career...when the interviewee comes to mind, I will edit this post -

in the NFL you go in as a member of all teams you played for in your career...no need to choose -
Well to play devils advocate, why would you give away your current franchise QB to take a gamble and draft one who may or may not be a franchise QB??? The only "negative" of Luck is his shoulder....if they move on from him I would want nothing to do with him because they obviously have big red flags regarding his phyiscal future

we arent really in the playoffs right now, as soon as games are played this week we wont be based on common opponents tie breakers coming in this team isnt good on offense or defense, thats why we wont make the playoffs its been an encouraging season overall given the overhaul of personnel and change in schemes...but we arent a playoff team

LAMAAAARRRRRR JACKKKKSONNNNNNNNNNNNN (if he comes out) Talented passer in the pocket, has proven that over and over this season...has improved every year he has played. Has the athletic ability to get out and run if things fall apart (but that isnt his first option). A truly prolific offense could be built around him. However, we have old school McDermott and his buddy Rico, so we would probably ruin his career before it even started...he or Baker Mayfield would be my choice (Rosen/Darnold wont be a real option without mortgaging the farm, which even still I dont think gets it done)

I have no idea which stadiums, It wasn't my idea, I was just saying that bonds dont ONLY come from the government....corporations/businesses are allowed to issue bonds as well
-
not saying he is right, but businesses can sell bonds as well as the gov't so in this case, the bond would likely be from the bills or pegula ent.

dear god no on Rudolph....hope its only the scouting department and stops with the GM/Coach. I don't get whats to like with Rudolph. Product of a pass happy, spread, QB friendly offense/coach, with the best WR corp in college football for two years now. Mahomes was at least reading defenses and going through progressions...noooooooo to Rudolph

I like McDermott and his vision of a team...for the most part. I wish we played with more attitude/edge, but perhaps that is partly on the players we have on the roster and he will bring more players with edge in. I do not like that he IS NOT learning from his in-game mistakes. He preaches all the time about the process, and how you have to continue to learn and build from both good things and bad things..yet he is still mis managing time clock/game management issues. So he is clearly NOT learning and it bothers me more than anything else he has done here. Hopefully the end of the season will give him more time to reflect and rectify his own personal process, but I do like the way he is building this team while still fielding a competitive (kind of) product.

The ref's didnt miss it, they saw what was happening and kicked them off the field...COULD they have assessed a penalty based on the fact it was happening? According to the rule book I quoted above, they could have, but its a judgement call...which means they handled it absolutely appropriate (whether we all agree with it or not)
