Arians: Best QB Class In 15-20 Years
PaattMaann replied to Jamie Muellers Ghost's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought I was being clear, national pundits never get projected rounds/slots correct in mocking drafts I, as a fan, am offering my take on strengths of a QB based on what I have seen of him.. I think the difference there is pretty clear to understand -
Bills' Free Agent Stay or Go List.

I had also thought about this. Likely we will bring in two running backs, but one will certainly have to play special teams. I think a good route would be add a FA RB and draft one in the mid rounds since this is a deep RB class. McKinnon is a good back, and FA RB's just don't usually get huge pay days. Would like to see him in a Bills uniform. Other options, patriots have both Burkhead and Lewis as FA's, can they keep them both? Wouldn't mind prying one of them away from. Carlos Hyde would be a different type of back to McCoy, but I don't think he has shown enough to be relied on to be a future starter here. -

Being a good pro entails: having ability, preparing yourself physically all year round, having the mental acumen to succeed against NFL defenses, reading defenses and making quick adjustments, film study and preparing week in and week out....its a lot to ask a person to be able to do and thats the major reason there arent many people that can be successful in doing so. Manziel didn't even have any of those traits -

yea those articles both support exactly what I said, I knew he was a partier...but what was he addicted to? partying? you said "he would be an effective starting QB if it werent for his drug addiction"? So I ask again, what was he addicted to? All drugs? lol Perhaps you meant to say "he would be an effective starting QB if he took being an NFL QB seriously, buckled down and spent time improving his mechanics, learning to play QB, and most importantly learned how to read NFL defenses and studying film all day every day like the great QBs do...instead of partying and worrying about his image"? -

I dont care about where pundits predict players to go, because they are always wrong. I am talking about their play. They play nothing alike as QB, Mayfield can actually be a threat passing the ball, all Manziel did was run around. I am not concerned about Mayfields "off field" stuff whatsoever. He is a fiery competitor and once got drunk in public, for shame! Mayfield is an actual QB who has gotten better every year and has been learning from a great coach down there. He is a born leader and all of his teammates love the kid. Sign me up. -

"Even Manziel" like hes some type of a god? Other than being short I see very little similarities between Manziel and Mayfield. I hope you are correct that he doesn't go that high, be much easier to trade up into the mid teens than top 10 -

Agree with all of this bold. And for the Bills, seems like Darnold and Mayfield would be good fits here. However, I just can't envision us pulling off that blockbuster deal to get up there and get one. -
Hate to say it...Tyrod will be back
PaattMaann replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
TT is a scrub vet. I would rather try to catch lightning in a bottle like the Vikings accidentally did with Keenum than have to sit through yet another year of watching TT NOT throw the ball TT limits the entire passing offense. We will never know what we have talent wise/scheme wise with the new coach if TT is our QB -
how? do they just give them away now? we have about 1 trade-able asset, Cordy Glenn, which could probably snatch us a 3rd round pick...I personally would rather see Cordy starting at Tackle for us (if he is healthy enough to pass a physical to be traded then he should be healthy enough to get back into the game for us). What else do we have worth trading that we want to trade? TT? Lol, no ones taking him and his 18 mill, get real. Jerry Hughes? Why would another team want to over pay for his 3 sacks? (I like Jerry and hope we keep him). Shaq Lawson? Eh, maybe...then you are just going to create more holes on the team. Unless we trade down on draft day I think we are looking at our draft picks come draft day

Eric Wood “retirement” press conference
PaattMaann replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
his last name is Wood it is sad that Bills fans, after 10 years, still dont know his name -
Bills hire John Butler as secondary coach
PaattMaann replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
because changing position coaches wont change scheme/design/play calls so it will not really have a huge impact -

wawrow is a good writer but he is a giant douche to people, sad really -
yea we will agree to disagree...except for Wood not playing great under Marrone, which is as much the coaches/schemes fault as Wood's groy and wood are essentially the same size and I don't pretend to know their bench press stats so I can't say who is stronger. I prefer to have a larger sample size than 7 games when judging someone against a 10 year career lol I do hope your optimism is correct, having Groy in place to replace Wood would certainly be one less giant hole to fill on a team already filled with holes. I'll wait and see if Groy is even given the opportunity to be the starting C before I jump on your "groy is better than wood" bandwagon
-
I guess kudos for looking on the bright side, but Groy is not better than Wood... Groy filled in admirably when called upon, but he hasnt been a consistent top 10 center in the NFL for almost 10 years, he has been a back up and something tells me there is a reason for that. Might Groy turn into a damn fine center for us if given the opportunity? Hell yea he could, and for our sake I really hope he does...but its crazy to say Groy is better and should have started over Wood lol

because you dont have any sources, you have been wrong countless times, and post things that have already been posted elsewhere about the forum You are a classic LAMP (look at me post), and we don't like or appreciate you, soooo...bye? -
ironically, the Bills also really need help in the front seven and can address those needs with #21 and #22
