Week 9: Jets' Game Preparation - Inactives Announced
PaattMaann replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think it is entirely possible for some guys to think that way...until McD hits them with the process. The underdog role (regardless of vegas odds) will stick with them even if they are at 14-2 and having a first round bye in the playoffs...they prepare every single day, top to bottom of the roster, and that is because they are incredibly well coached from top to bottom of the roster. Sure some guy might think the Jets are easy...but McD will change that thought quickly this week, these guys WILL be locked and loaded (that said, sure they could still lose, its the NFL, any given sunday) -
WR, offensive and defensive lines and Shady's replacement (having a nice number 2 who can take entire series from Shady would be great...and do wonders for lengthening Shady's career)...those would be my top priorities We will have money to spend in FA too

Schopp: Taylor is better than you think.
PaattMaann replied to JM2009's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Partly that, but also partly because the O-coordinator was trying to force his scheme on our guys (unsuccessfully). Also partly because we were facing 3 top 10 defenses in four weeks. Now that scheme is changing to accommodate and we are facing less stout defenses, the run game is getting going. Nothing in the NFL is simple as "because of X, we get Y"...so you should take your own advice and stop exaggerating : ) -
what? Is this a Madden move? I would expect Hyde to play his position, safety. Sometimes he does cover guys though...but as far as Hyde on Cooper and White on Crabtree? A) Cooper is their "speed" guy compared to Crabtree B) we run a lot of zone C) I would expect the mantra of "next man up" to continue here, and our safeties will play safety and Wright will fill in for Gaines

PREACH, good work 26 -
there are other players to be scouted aside from QBs (I mean I am sure they will watch them too)

same, LOVE TNF especially like the divisional game components

the hit was to the head, deserving of the 15 yard penalty. Flacco was clearly going for the first down, Kiko dove to stop his progress (if Flacco dove head first/kept running), Flacco slid late so Kiko hit him. Kiko MAYBE could have lifted his arms up at the VERY last second to try to avoid, it is obvious he did not do this...but things in the NFL happen so incredibly fast I dont think he was trying to take Flacco's head off

Are the Bills Oppressing Anquan Boldin?
PaattMaann replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Simply put: Boldin is our property. Thats how contracts work. If he was a 3 year veteran who did this, would we even be discussing this? No, not at all. Boldin signed with us to play, he chose to retire...as the rules state, he can play with us since we own his rights. OR, we can trade him, which we are seemingly facilitating. What is wrong with that? The Bills oppressing him would be if Boldin said "hey I want to come back", and the Bills responded by saying "We don't want you, so sit at home, K Bye" -
I am not overly worried about the pass D, as of now. Two passing TDs came on the back of Lorax admittedly messing up his assignment/losing OJ Howard...the other TD to Evans was on a perfect pass/route/catch while he was blanketed by White. Great offensive plays will happen, and I am confident we can shore up the communication / losing guys issue with proper coaching, which we have. This defense WILL give up pass yards, no doubt about it. The goal is to keep guys in front of you, make open field tackles, hold to field goals and cause turnovers. Lack of pass rush is a little concerning, not just sacks, but getting QBs pressured so they make mistakes or are uncomfortable. Maybe this will be the week (against a stellar O-line lol)?

I WISH man, theres no way my wife is letting me do this....however, I am trying to make this work

?? Are you referring to the Bucs game?? The secondary was leaky all game...first drive we gave up passing plays of 21 yards, 10, 11, 11...second drive 9, 14, 14, 20....third drive 7, 19, TO....it goes on and gets worse after Gaines goes down. We have been lit up for two straight weeks, we have a leaky pass D right now and it is OK to admit that It is obvious we give up passing yards, thats kind of what our D is based on....bend but dont break and get TOs...it is also obvious the Raiders will attempt to beat us via the pass - regardless of who lines up in our secondary

Cover 1 Breaks Down the Crack Toss
PaattMaann replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think he was drafted to play tackle and that's the position he plays moving forward. Unless injuries/future drafts changes that. I have been wrong before but I think the staff views him as a tackle, and the way he handled himself at LT in Glenns absence leads me to believe nothing has changed in their minds. -

I dont know if we will see Dawkins at RG...a rookie like him, having to learn LT/RT and now G? I just dont see the staff doing that with him on a permanent basis.
