  1. Dawkins DID indeed grab a handful of the defenders jersey OUTSIDE his shoulder pad, directly in front of where TT was running. It clearly altered the outcome of the play as it gave TT the time and space he needed (literally one second of grabbing) to get by the D-lineman. It was the correct call by the ref. Holding happens every play in the NFL, it is allowed when it is inside the shoulder pads in the chest area of the defender, that is how linemen are taught to block. This was clearly on the outside of the shoulder pad and thus, a hold. (Refs did a TERRIBLE job all around with this game though)
  2. BECAUSE WE PAY HIM TO PLAY THE LEFT TACKLE POSITION!!! sorry Bandit, just couldnt resist
  3. not sure why this was directed at me in response to my post....I agree they could trade anyone HOWEVER, I doubt any team would trade their best offensive lineman, especially at the second or third most important position on the team and what I was really posting about was that this "reporter" wouldnt have heard if ANYONE was on the trading block, because McBeane regime doesnt leak BRAH
  4. thats why we have big fat DL in front of him, Milano is just 1/11 baby, trust the process!
  5. thanks for posting, but I disagree about it being an interesting read. "The Bills line has been better with him sidelined"???? No. Dawkins has done a pretty good job filling in, for a rookie, but our best line would be Glenn-Incognito-Wood-Miller-Dawkins.... and I highly doubt the author knows about Glenn being "placed on the trading block" considering how tight lipped OBD has been since McBeane took over.
  6. Buy - Dawkins (kid is playing pretty well for a rookie at LT, could really develop into a great T at either spot) Hold - Haush-Money (another excellent week) Sell - Wood (I hope I am wrong but it could be a quick and painful downfall)
  7. This is true, however, the BN has remained viable and is one of the strongest newspapers in the country. So they are doing some correct things to change with the times (including the new Barnett ideas and dialogue).
  8. thats todays world bro too many people view the world as black vs white, when in reality the world is 5 percent one way, 5 percent the other and 90 percent in the middle....there is a wholeeeeeee lot of gray areas in all aspects of life. We would be better served as a society if we focused on and stayed in the gray area
  9. came in to say this Barnett is like "listen you old curmudgeons, toe the new line or GTFO" or, there is finally a regime in place in both franchises that value accountability and have a solid plan in place (regardless of how the rest of this season goes)
  10. that's not exactly what their intention was, I hope you know that. The intention was to line up and see if we got a look we liked, then you run the play you had called, if not, try and draw offsides for another crack at it. Worst case scenario was the delay and take the points. Personally I would have probably tried to punch it in the end zone and step on their throat. But making the staff out to be bumbling idiots for the decision is flat out wrong.
  11. realistically I would love to nab Tavon Austin for his speed/deep ball...even though he hasn't really shown much ability in the NFL....and now McVay is using him as a RB mostly, and hes kind of good at it. I dont see them parting with him. I think the WRs on our roster or PS are what we roll with all year. Sign FA/draft WR next year. I just dont think McBeane value WR that much honestly (although some resources went to WR in Carolina - Benjamin, Funchess)
  12. exxxxxactlyyyyyyyy people...jesus sometimes people here are beyond dumb bring up Reilly now and he does well, what do you do with him when Matthews comes back? He wont be able to be snuck back onto the practice squad (all teams have an opp. to claim him) so we waste his developmental year....which I trust he needs
  13. we arent asking him to win games by himself he throws the ball less than 25 times a game the QBs who are putting up 40 throws a game are the ones that throw for 300 yards a game TT is doing what hes being asked to do, manage games and win
  14. it worked, but next time lets make sure we put 11 guys on the field instead of the 10 that we decided on
  15. worst halftime show would be ANY classic rock band. They are old and stodgy. Yawn. Dont want to see broken hips and what not
  16. didnt we run a lot of zone blocking schemes the past two years under Lynn? I know this is an outside zone, but wouldn't the concepts be very similar?
  17. THIS. The Falcons will move the ball up and down the field basically at will through the air, and we can survive that. Stout in the red zone, hold to FGs and stay in the game.
  18. no I think he is being serious...at least regarding the Newton tackle. That was embarrassing to watch. HOWEVER, the rest of his season thus far he has been awesome.
  19. this guy knows whats up... Big Ditch should be on your list Toutant has great food right by there (big ditch also has pretty good pub grub) RiverWorks is def. worth checking out. I would walk into 716 just to see it, but dont get any food there, and even if you CAN order a drink (usually busy and bartenders suck, even when they are slow) you probably dont want too That is a full friday/Saturday right there....if time, checking out Lockhouse Distillery is worth while, might be a good concert at Iron Works too
