They never recovered from the loss of Steve Clark, IMO. They may have a guy to play the notes on tour, but the guitar riffs Clark came up with made them what they were. They haven't put out anything worthwhile since.

Fred Jackson and Aaron Schobel are in without question. Assuming Kyle Williams and Eric Wood areout due to making the playoffs, I'd give the remaining two slots to Stevie Johnson and Fitz. Kyle Orton is really the most deserving, but I think it would be too hard to carve the cigar and mustache.

I agree completely. If he didn't express his opposition to Rex Ryan he deserves all the blame for that hire and what it led to. I actually don't think Rex was all that bad. He never really got the opportunity to implement his system with his guys. Year 2 saw his 1st and 2nd rd picks on IR before the season started. But if Whaley was down for the hire he was down for all that came with it.

I wanted the Vikings. I thought they were going to roll the Eagles and have a good shot against NE. So much for that.

I didn't even know about that. I was thinking in terms of his next contract. I think we all figured that great season of his was an aberration, but it's starting to look like this guy has talent.

Foles is making himself a much wealthier man tonight.

I was down on Whaley toward the end but I'm starting to think the guy got kind of a raw deal. Granted, he sucked at QB evaluation and made questionable decisions wrt trading up, but it seems he was good at finding position players that worked in the scheme he was scouting for. I never gave him a pass on having coaches thrust upon him because a GM should be accountable for coaching decisions, but with the benefit of hindsight it appears he was a GM in name only and was really just the head of player personnel. I'm not saying we should have kept him, but I think he's better than I and many others gave him credit for.

I wouldn't mind having Gilmore on the roster, but odds are we'd have had to significantly outbid the Pats, he'd be largely wasted in our offense, we're not exactly weak at the position, and the cap space we saved gives us the ability to to obtain/retain other talent that's probably more valuable to the team. In short, I'm glad we let him walk even if he is good.
