  1. Yet another example of the NFL failing to heed the advice of Lincoln Osiris. I get the need to protect their image since the media determined it's now the employer's role to act as the morality police over the employees private affairs, but suspending a guy because his ex wife says he's mean and controlling is going full retard.
  2. Maybe you think people who can't handle their buzz should drink and drive, but I disagree.
  3. Anytime someone's house is broken into it's a terrible thing. Except when that guy's a complete piece of **** and a multi-millionaire to boot. Then it's just kind of funny.
  4. The fact that the Ertz TD had to be reviewed says it all. It seems to me if you get both feet down with control it should be a catch.
  5. ^What he said. I question the sanity of anyone who cares that much about sports.
  6. I've always wondered how people can rag on the guy because he's one of, if not the best commentators out there. That said, I found him very disappointing tonight, particularly on the Zach Ertz TD. I usually feel like I've got a guy who knows a lot more than I do pointing out things I didn't pick up on, but a few times I was scratching my head wondering where he was coming from. He's still a great commentator, but tonight wasn't his greatest outing.
  7. People who can't handle their buzz shouldn't drink and drive. At least it happened before the draft.
  8. NFL HOF is a joke until TO is in.
  9. I don't want him as our starting QB either due to his limitations as a passer, but I think he's earned his paycheck as well as a lot of respect. While it does not appear that he'll ever be great, he's been good enough to significantly raise the bar in Buffalo and do enough to win games more often than not. If we're pinning our hopes on a rookie QB I'd rather have him on the roster at his current salary than repeat the mistake of Fitz.
  10. I was really high on Russell Wilson and Derek Carr. Of course, I was also high on Matt Barkley and Johnny Manziel, so...
  11. I'd prefer an upgrade, but I'd also prefer trotting TT back out there to making the same mistake we did with Fitz and dropping a serviceable QB for a shaky ?.
  12. As George Clooney's voiced character in the movie said, It never gets any easier.
  13. I'll go with Omar on The Wire or Kenny from South Park.
  14. Any word on whether we're still trading for Cousins?
  15. The thing I always admired most about Wood was that despite being a multi-millionaire he continued to carry his lunch in a pail. That's character in my book. Most guys with that kind of coin would buy their lunch, but not Eric. And after all those years of eating from a pail, for this !@#$ to denigrate him just makes me !@#$ing sick.
  16. On one hand I want to give the guy the benefit of the doubt and think it was just an ill advised attempt at humor. On the other, if he said that on air about my daughter I'd want to relieve him of a few teeth.
  17. Dude, I like a lot of your takes, including ones you get a lot of flack for, but posting responses like this is just unnecessary. It doesn't make your argument more persuasive, it just makes people think you're a dick.
  18. I generally assume people writing off poor draft decisions with the "20/20 hindsight" line suffer from mild mental retardation, because the primary job of those selecting picks is to have foresight, and the only way to evaluate their performance is to see what their picks do on the field. But cervical disc problems are not really foreseeable unless there was some prior indication of the injury.
  19. Todd Gurley sucked in that offense too. This is not a strong argument you're making.
  20. If you think the Pats get a lot of calls watch a Warriors game. You barely have to breathe on them to get called, but they have to just about punch a guy in the face to get a whistle.
  21. I don't disagree, in fact I think what you described is the most likely scenario. By mildly offensive I meant in a racial sense. The touchy SJWs comment was in reference to the types who, for example, can't distinguish a comment about Africa/Cameroon from one about being black.
  22. Based on the reaction it seems unlikely that he said anything all that offensive. If he called him an inward, coon, etc. I doubt the guy would have been so quick to forgive. More likely it was something not overtly racist that could be interpreted as such. If that's the case this really is much ado about nothing.
  23. Why the !@#$ do they call it a Whopper sandwich? It's just a Whopper.
