  1. The criticism of this guy for the goalline pass in the SB is the biggest case of mass parrotism that I've ever seen. Collinsworth said it right when it happened and everyone's repeated it like it was their own opinion ever since. The truth is that it was a high percentage play, running Lynch was not the sure thing everyone makes it out to be, and if not for an unlikely INT he's a SB winning genius who passed when NE was looking run.
  2. The guy makes some really nice throws, but I see a lot of sacks and INTs in his future.
  3. I don't see a reason for pessimism. We were 9-7 with the team we have now. We have a wealth of draft picks and cap space to improve upon that. We should also be improved by coming into the season with a healthy Glenn and Benjamin. Even if Glenn is traded we get more draft capital and cap space. The only real ? I see is at QB, but we're trying to replace Tyrod, not Drew Brees. Unless we pluck a rookie who struggles or sign a vet who pulls a Bradford I think we should expect to improve.
  4. His career is far from over. When healthy he's got an arm like a rocket. I bet by the end of the next season his nickname will be Rocket Man.
  5. I wouldn't mind having a White QB.
  6. What's the knock on Thompson? I haven't studied his game but as a casual observer it seems like he gets open, has decent hands, and great speed. Obviously he has weaknesses or he wouldn't have bounced around the league, but what are they?
  7. I don't care about their politics.
  8. If we want Bridgewater why not just keep Hotrod. They're basically the same guy.
  9. This thread is embarrassing. Since when did hyperbole become a cardinal sin? Yes, the guy made a slightly exaggerated off-hand comment to accentuate his clear point that if you strip away his superior athletic ability you're left with a really really bad NFL QB. So what? Is anyone honestly disputing that point? If you're ripping Tony Kornholer and YOU look like the jackass, you're doing something horribly wrong. Also, hyper-literal people rarely get laid. You should work on that.
  10. Lots of elite WRs are 4th on their team in receiving.
  11. I don't think it's a point worth making and I don't know what the purpose of making it would be. Every QB would benefit from flawless execution around them. It rarely happens. All QBs deal with dropped and deflected passes and receivers who run the wrong route or don't fight for the ball. There was nothing particularly over the top here in that regard.
  12. I think the argument is that if everyone else had played a flawlessly perfect game, TT would be something like 21-37 with ~ 175 yds. Even though that's not very good, it's not quite as ****ty as his actual numbers, so go Tyrod.
  13. The only thing more pathetic than an SJW is a middle-aged white male SJW.
  14. Funny that people are more concerned over an allegation of a slur than Gronk physically diving on the head and neck of a defenseless player. #priorities
  15. Just say no to LamaRG3
  16. St. Doug may well be a better coach than McD, but that has yet to be determined. This was a one score game and Marrone has far more talent on his roster. The idea that this one game establishes a clear hierarchy between the two is dumb. This thread is !@#$ing stupid.
  17. I'll ask you the same question I asked Klos. Are you a black guy with a chip on your shoulder or a virtue-signalling white boy who gets some pathetic sense of self-righteousness from your racial hypersensitivity?
  18. It makes sense to anyone with an IQ north of double digits. If you can't grasp the difference between African and black you shouldn't be calling anyone's intelligence into question. The only thing you've shared is how you perceive the world, which is clearly a very simplistic view.
  19. What are you even talking about? Literally no one is ragging on him as a human being for taking the job. They're simply saying they want to move on to someone else. I have friends who know him personally and think he's a good guy. That's great, but being a good guy doesn't entitle you to a starting QB job. I'd try to feel bad for him, but the guy has banked north of $25m over the last two years and is going to make a lot more. I'm sure he's doing just fine. I'll save my sympathy for kids with cancer, not multi-millionaire athletes.
