  1. When was the last time you saw a coal miner sign a multi-million dollar contract?
  2. I'm a capitalist so I support everybody trying to maximize their earnings, but !@#$ these guys. Almost everyone on that list was paid very well to do a job. They benefited from the NFL far more than the NFL benefited from them. If none of those guys had ever been born the NFL would be just as big. The next best guys would be the superstars and we'd never know the difference. This is just a reminder that if I really knew these entitled ass wipes I probably wouldn't like them. I'd like to think if Fred Jackson was a hall of famer he wouldn't have signed that bull **** letter.
  3. If Mike Lupati reaches FA you have to make a run at him.
  4. It's a little early for this. If the Bills still look this inept by mid-season I'll start to worry (to the extent I worry about this ****), but I don't find it at all surprising that a cash strapped team with a rookie QB and a bunch of new starters is having a rough start to the season. I suspect the defense will start to look like an NFL unit at some point soon. They looked like they might be figuring it out in the second half Sunday. We knew this wasn't going to be an offensive powerhouse, but if Allen proves to be the real deal, which looks promising thus far, it shouldn't take much to get us on track. Either way, I'd rather be us than Chicago, Seattle, Detroit, or AZ right now. And the Browns are still the Browns until proven otherwise.
  5. I didn't think it was better, but the Stoned Age was surprisingly good.
  6. I haven't been this upset since they cut Jonathan Williams.
  7. Don't french fry when you're supposed to pizza.
  8. I love hurricanes. I feel like a kid whose parents promised him Disney World and then cancelled the trip the day before.
  9. I've been hearing for days about how this severe hurricane is going to hit us. I got the generator gassed and oiled, stocked up on beer and dry goods, cleaned and filled all my water containers, and I'm ready for the storm. Now I hear it's changed course and we'll get 2-4" of rain. This blows.
  10. Do you remember the hurricane that crushed eastern/central NC around 2000? Edit: It was hurricane Floyd.
  11. I want us to sign Kaepernick so I can brag to my liberal friends about how "woke" our organization is.
  12. He's not a Josh Allen level bust (yet), but he is definitely a bust. But he has a nice first step. Maybin 2.0.
  13. Bears got a free set of downs after missing on 4th down and still couldn't get close to FG range.
  14. The Bears absolutely suck. Not only did they blow a huge lead late, Rogers gift wrapped the game winning INT and Fuller muffed it. I'd rather get blown out than choke. Mitch Trubisky is garbage.
  15. A lot of people get started on prescription pain killers, get hooked, and can't break the addiction. It's not always as simple as making a choice. Also, it affects people differently. I could never get hooked on opiates because they make me feel nauseated, but if they made me feel amazing, like they do some people, I have no idea how I would handle it. It's easy to cast judgment, but it's usually more of a mental health issue than a moral one.
  16. I bet the Packers are glad they gave Not Brett Favre all that guaranteed money.
  17. He can dream of making progress and getting this nice, but when I roll up it's like auto-draft vice.
  18. Rumor has it he brings his lunch in a pail. Never underestimate the value of that.
  19. I am a genius. No one else had the sense to draft Tyreke Hill and Drew Brees where I did and I'm crushing it. You may all bow down to me.
  20. I was just trying to give some positive perspective. It's entirely possible that this team looks completely different by mid-season. If not at least there's hope for the future. Of course, it is still possible that we could just suck for years to come. If it makes you feel better to dwell on that possibility I don't want to take that away from you.
  21. It's week one for a young team with a lot of new starters. I wouldn't read too much into it. And if we continue to suck as bad as we did today we'll go into the offseason with great draft picks, a ton of cap space, and all the new guys will have a year under their belts. If we suck before we get better that's fine. Of course, if we suck before we suck some more that's not so good. Might as well trust the process and hope for the best.
