  1. he’s the definition of not even buying a lotto ticket but finding one… not great odds but you never know what could’ve fallen out of someone’s pocket. You aren’t making financial decisions or quitting your job based on simply possessing it though
  2. the skin was sometimes single ply thin and that’s not going to work in this setting
  3. it’s one of the first times in years there’s been a discrepancy in predicting them and it was 2 guys by 1 round. while imperfect it’s still about 98% forecastable
  4. With Josh it’s always possible. Health and a few good bounces would go a long way towards that though.
  5. Current stance: none of them excite me or materially move the needle. I would wait til camp and see about cuts, late trades and if we have any injuries. someone will roll an ankle but whether that is cook or Samuel changes need quite drastically and around cut day I think the available talent will also be better. once upon a time I thought we would consider a guy like Simmons June 1 but now? Probably wait til august before considering anything noteworthy.
  6. to be fair, most posters could pick a promising player at each area of need that’s not the hard part
  7. I think we just have to hope there’s a bit of “he’s a guard” at play and then watch cordy actually play LT. while I’ve been challenging people on this pick, as it doesn’t fit the mold, my fingers are still crossed. It’s not purely hope and prayer either but its a challenging one on paper.
  8. You can scheme it up and maybe improve deep but if they don’t fear you getting over them, the underneath has a knack for getting tight.
  9. but that said, after breaking the tackle he may be asked to run numerous yards in a straight line- or a horizontal play could have him running many yards across the field. My point was it’s not just go routes where you see that speed breaking a tackle can make up for it though, as you note
  10. I don’t think he will be targeted 40 yards downfield a ton but I do think he will be asked to run plenty of crossers, etc… in addition to those deep routes. I also hope occasionally he will catch the ball short and be asked to run a long distance Yea- I think a lot of people are forgetting how much Josh had to do down the stretch. We really need a big step forward, not just breaking even
  11. then why doesn’t he get separation, alpha?
  12. 700 yards is 41 per game heck, if the guy hits 100 twice that’s 33 per game the rest of the way
  13. our offense can’t run through Josh for 20 games. He won’t make it.
  14. it’s the “we don’t know if shorter is viable” insurance more than a “we think he will play regularly” signing
  15. they need someone to throw the ball at rookie camp and he doesn’t even cost a plane ticket
  16. wow, literally zero? If I run a good route I can be an nfl wr? or is that a bit of hyperbole?
  17. I don’t think the point was that he only gets one type for all 6 slots all the time always so much as he actively seeks a certain type as one of the starters
  18. I think a lot of bills fans forget Benjamin had like 1900 yards in his first 2 seasons and think the comparison is to fat kelvin.
  19. I agree but there may be some truth to comparing what he’s done here in a build - rebuild and what Carolina did when he was there. Clearly some consistent pursuit of the big body possession receiver for instance, right? Not everyone chases benjamin-funches-trade for Benjamin-Davis-Coleman not clones, but seems a certain archetype he may like
  20. I have no real idea on the player but a good range for IOL guys, and I’m optimistic about kromer getting the most from him
  21. Touche- I’ll take my medicine on that one! though I will say that he also had a ton more production his senior year too he checked every box but speed. Coleman has the speed flag plus having to develop more.
  22. I don’t think anyone’s saying Coleman couldn’t make an impact but boldin did have nearly double the production in his final year of college and was drafted to compliment an elite WR1 I think that Coleman would probably be a very good fit across from one of those guys. unfortunately I think it’ll be hard for him to be one of those guys himself
