  1. yea, shame on a guy going to a super bowl contender for a huge pay check. And then end up being in the biggest games
  2. which Whaley players had his stench and which just needed to be hosed down to be good?
  3. we watched him play fine against CB1 plenty here let’s go get some of those speed guys and kelce and overpay a wr while we still can
  4. Well, shoot, Now that you mention it he wouldn’t be a high end passing option. and it changes nothing given it could’ve been tyreek and about 4 if their receivers listed there anyway when healthy he had a run of off the charts here. Just too short a window.
  5. I mean, Julio’s depth chart had Ridley and sanu today we saw Tyreek, Kelce and a plethora of guys better than our 3 Hopkins has fuller and stills (not great but...)
  6. If we pick up DK instead of Ford, a back like Ingram to pair with singletary (or rookie in general) and pull the trigger on any of the pass rusher trades and we would have been very close without using any hindsight... just assuming similar health if we threw in a WR trade too well... shoot. Probably a home playoff game.
  7. pegula and Dan Snyder are 6 of one, half dozen the other? Al Davis vs Mike brown vs the Rooney’s?
  8. the owners do a little something with building it. And those guys get their moment too.
  9. he got roughly market rate for the dude then immediately flubbed replacing him while utilizing much of the value. the trade itself wasn’t spectacular. Good move. Not knocking it but not framing it for the wall. to pair it with the trouble replacing leaves me pretty ho hum about it. He’s done well shedding cap/players but we should have more on the roster right now.
  10. meh. Trading Watkins for a 2 then a 3 for Benjamin isn’t all that exciting when you could’ve rode Watkins and gotten a comp 3. It was fine. But I doubt he’s bragging to friends about it.
  11. and their offense is scoring which takes Henry out of the game. indy had a terrible run defense in many of the Manning years but had great pass rushers for when their offense made you pass to keep up score and create turnovers
  12. I didn’t think it was as compelling as they hoped. Some of the cinematography was clunky (so many shots of random trees) and I think at times they stretched the story or rehashed stuff to fill time and leaned on the homosexuality too hard. more doctors, more drug info, more security footage, etc... could’ve tied it together better. Heck with the right production team you might’ve even gotten more involvement from various league/media sources. it was interesting but as these types of shows go I wouldn’t say this one was one of the better constructed, but because of his nfl ties it held me through the end
  13. I think there’s a difference between an excuse and an acknowledgement. i do agree that folks jump straight to CTE as an explanation and that’s not needed either though. Talking about causes and contributing factors though doesn’t mean the person is let off the hook. Even if they have the brain damage, that’s a part of their story, just like the acts of violence are... and some of the good things they’ve done can still be. Aaron Hernandez doesnt just have to be a sociopathic animal. He can be the dude that despite appearing to have it all actually had a junk family life, huge insecurities and violent head traumas and did awful things.
  14. I mean it’s not impressive behavior but for years he’s tried to get the band to play neck when he attends games. So it’s not like this is particularly outlandish behavior in that context. If he was doing out of the blue itd raise more eyebrows
  15. For those saying the university was worried or there were possible NCAA punishments for smoking or... i present you the official LSU football Twitter https://mobile.twitter.com/LSUfootball/status/1216976750007214080?ref_src=twsrc^tfw|twcamp^tweetembed|twterm^1216976750007214080&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.usatoday.com%2Fstory%2Fsports%2Fncaaf%2Fsec%2F2020%2F01%2F17%2Flsu-football-dancing-white-house-video-gemi-bordelon-get-gat%2F4505304002%2F the security gusts was overzealous
  16. he wasn’t awful, and he wasn’t top 3. Dude was a good rotational piece.
  17. to be fair, neck is a... special... LSU tradition and he’s had a history of fun with the band regarding it. Last year(?) he offered to pay any fines associated if they would. In context, the band video has been an ongoing joke for quite some time.
  18. if they thought shady was all in for the team he would’ve beat gore out. I think they were genuinely concerned about him mentoring DS if he was getting more touches
  19. Right which is why one of the schmucks has charges while the other is just catching snide comments on social media. They aren’t the same but can both get a “seriously???” either one showing common sense likely avoids the whole thing
  20. they’ve been under pretty intense federal scrutiny for a long time... with, admittedly a lot of reform successes. that said, everything about this clip was 2 parties seeking to elevate their own importance in what should’ve just been a simple and joyous celebration for the players
  21. I think the person mentioning drug use is relevant too. id venture a guess that later in HS and into college he probably began dabbling in riskier drugs. Could be CTE. Could be PCP. Likely his father situation contributed to both.
  22. winning likely helped too. If we were 3-5 mid season I bet plenty hit IR
  23. to be fair, he seems to be loud a lot of the time!
