  1. Crazy, right? Essential workers are needed at work and guys playing a game for your entertainment can stay home because you don’t need but just want them.
  2. using the to date list it’s probably about on par with preseason injuries had we been into camp and our first week of games
  3. first point- obviously. But we haven’t shut down the message board yet, so it’s still a spot to discuss different takes on the moves he makes. second- fair approach but I think overrated in that unless you are constantly giving the spot to young/cheap guys last minute and obviously holding back bets you wouldn’t cultivate any reputation contrary to that. If we kept long 3 weeks and cut him then- would anyone have a negative impression? Obviously you don’t do a presser saying the jobs already won and he’s just an insurance policy ever.
  4. or at least wait through opt outs and a bit of camp. never a fan of pulling the plug on serviceable guys before you absolutely have to that said, likely not the end of the world here
  5. he won’t count against us and will likely end up counting for us in the calculation
  6. though they would likely be walking by team personnel posted up there, so extracurricular activities are likely minimal once opted in
  7. Saints have rented a hotel for voluntary bubbling. They say about 150 of 180 players/personnel are expected to stay.
  8. This is essentially season 9 of ballers, right?
  9. One thing that always drive me nuts with ej was the ultra conservative long and outside placement on deep balls. it felt consistent enough to be the product of “put it where only your guy can make a play” coaching but resulted in rarely being able to make plays because it was so risk averse. I’m hopeful the josh will at some point really let it rip on these and expect a guy like diggs outmatch the corner on contested balls.
  10. You’ve shared your opinion plenty of times for a football board. I beg of you to go to PPP if you insist on talking covid politics.
  11. and yet here he is contagious to the whole team including older staff and overweight players/staff even if he is fine. his point is it’s election related and not a real concern
  12. There were articles saying the other and it took off
  13. we are talking a difference in 1.5 targets per game between 125 and 150 while having one of the better 3 deep cores at WR. That’s like 1 catch a game different? if the offense isn’t working and we aren’t passing or have injuries and he is still on the low end, sure, annoying. If we are humming along and he is getting quality targets because we are distributing the ball well- I’m cool with not forcing the targets.
  14. 125 would put you essentially average WR1 (16th roughly) for receiver targets last year” ((disclaimer I looked it up like 10 mins ago and don’t recall if it was exactly 125 but was +/- less than a handful from there)) I’ll buy giving him a few more wouldnt be bad but wayyyyyy low seems dramatic
  15. Last year 5 receivers broke 150 targets. are you a guy that thinks backs get 25 carries a game too?
  16. I think 775 is a bit low but not crazy. That’s still top 40ish and would give us 3 pass catchers in that range and like 2,600 yards from our top 3. id guess probably closer to 2,750 or so from them as a group.... and any one of them could be 800 or 1100 depending on health, rhythm and some luck. this season will obviously have a lot of extra volatility though and could go sideways or see huge explosions easily. I do not think he’s a chain mover though and will be a big play target. Just a matter of how many connect. 3 bobbles and 2 borderline tackles can be most of the gap between 800 and 1000 though
  17. I do not think that an 11ypc guy is what they targeted him to be though. Do you?
  18. 11 yards a catch? I think that’s the most outlandish metric in the thread.
  19. Tend to prefer flats but never passed on a drum obviously hot and crispy preferred but leftovers can still be good spicier the better. Some sweating and a few tears welcome.
  20. counterpoint: they found a way to meet safe virtually while bringing everyone into their system Can’t be enforced but could be offered I’d think. some teams may be more willing to opt in to safe housing
  21. many even if leaning virtual are trying to get portions on campus. freshman in the fall to get their bearings and graduating seniors in the spring, as an example. Along with special cases, athletes, etc... depending on the school, state etc...
  22. I’d assume that it was a combo of covid halting medicals and then potentially challenging financials. now it makes sense to see the opt outs first. Just a weird offseason for a guy like him.
  23. worried about family at home? weigh over 300 lbs and/or have a high risk condition? you are betting against the season and made what you believe is the best financial choice?
  24. the thing I always say in these threads is that he checks all the physical boxes but also really seems to get the game. Plenty of on field post game interviews where he was able to spot out “we saw this on film but they tweaked it a bit so we attacked it by doing that” type of comments that were very on point.
