  1. third down late in a game with an opportunity to ice it against a team you might be fighting for home field later is exactly when I am Ok seeing him jump 3rd quarter against the texans would be a whole different story. he’s definitely learning how to pick his spots
  2. and also Knox being a viable weapon in the passing game hurts depth receivers. He’s more versatile to disguise personnel grouping intentions in the huddle than beasley would be as a 3rd route runner.
  3. with as quick to flag as they’ve been…
  4. It wasn’t an obscene call ala no PI on nickel robey in the nfc championship - but it sure felt like a “keep the game alive” call
  5. If you peel back the “how dare they make this a big deal” sentiment- I don’t think it’s been made that big a deal. The email came out. It’s been acknowledged. He didn’t do a great job apologizing. Some colleagues came out on his behalf with supportive words. We will likely move on quietly from here without repercussions. it’s going to have a short shelf life, and no real consequences minus some like public penance being made. when you bash the leagues primary negotiating opponent and it comes out publicly - this outcome is about as mild as possible, right?
  6. I’ll be honest- I only read about a third of the thread, but between that, and the media coverage, the largest (and most manufactured out of thin air) outrage I saw was not directed at Gruden.
  7. four seasons total landscaping was unavailable
  8. that would be the obvious result of scoring the most points and allowing the fewest
  9. The hope would be minor, and maybe could’ve returned if not another blowout. Could’ve been cramping even for example but definitely has extended risk
  10. ill be real, no book is featuring that record. But I enjoy his success immensely.
  11. irv, it sounds like you were celebrating the win with your copy of now that’s what I call music volume 23. Good on you to have a Sunday funday. I think he will be ok, as I’m pretty sure he was not born yet when the song was popular, so he probably does not understand your reference.
  12. I don’t think the internet was a thing last time we had a team that was actually promising (minus last year)
  13. I’ll skip the political debate. Especially since you prefer not to bring up your beliefs publicly and make noise
  14. The self proclaimed silent majority is in fact a noisy minority
  15. In most cases I suspect his replacement will be giving more reps to the guys above him not below
  16. i think it’s a dumb stat that’s manufactured out of thin air for clicks
  17. we were obnoxious when we weren’t winning- just you wait now that we are
  18. He literally posted “other than the purity of the fryer, is there any concern about the ingredients for the wings
  19. monsters live among us
  20. clearly any given week a win is a win. but if you are consistently playing in the margin of error where a single bad call or unpredictable bounce can lose a game or you are relying on those to win your games… it gets much harder to win week in and week out. You start growing out to a TD plus average and you can weather the dumb luck moments much better
  21. to show up to a league presentation on covid and not wear the mask would have me thinking hard about cutting even a starting level guy. no matter where you stand on covid - that’s insulting to your teammates and your shared championship goals. I will chime in here because this feels like common sense and not politics… but yea. It’s a really strange place to draw the line in the sand on what you will or won’t do to be in the league. shoot up with a wild array of painkillers and sustain brain damage? Sure. take a covid shot? Heeeeelll no. It’s not particularly logical.
  22. The lack of training the older guys had can be an argument that they would be better today with all that… or look worse in a league where they aren’t outworking everybody by as much
  23. i don’t think it’s crazy to include Donald in the conversation. LT was definitely that type of player too. There will always be a few contenders based on what different people value most. yup. Hard to crown a guy before you know how his career wraps, but he definitely checks the boxes for being on track to be a serious member of the conversation.
  24. This thread has really gone south
