  1. Disagree tremendously. plug in any top 30 coach and really how far backwards do you go? Minimally at most
  2. Do we think we have more of an Andy dalton problem or a Marvin Lewis/norv Turner problem?
  3. I just think there was enough drama bubbling and mid season stressors that it’s weird to pretend Brady wouldn’t have a use for an elite receiver if gifted one. truly, I think the bigger flag than Brady not knowing how to use him was diggs working through things that lowered his own ceiling.
  4. and ultimately we talk about the cap challenges that come with an extended regime - ie once you pay the qb it’s harder to get over the hump. If you couldn’t do it with that advantage, will you pull it off later without them…. you also get the less talked about attrition of your best talent in the front office and on the sidelines. at some point does a new regime come with a full compliment of talent throughout the facility, in addition to the fresh voice at leader. All fair considerations.
  5. seems so easy. Win the first half, run the second half. defend the pass, don’t worry about the run because you are ahead and it bleeds clock for you i keep hearing about complementary football and it seems so obvious
  6. it’s almost as if I keep saying the WR addition might dramatically help the defense key in on just stopping the pass. It’s the old colts undersized defense that needs to play with a lead, essentially. Stop the run by scoring early and not letting up. Rush the passer one dimensionally and get the turnover.
  7. I almost wrote similar and thought about diggs, McKenzie and even everyone’s favorite lightning rod and white rapper Cole Beasley. Knox, Kincaid, Shakir, Palmer and Keon are all nice dudes and drilling them with having even less ego might be akin to low positive Josh needing to re-light the fire
  8. yea, struggling to see that being far enough to both move the spot and not need to measure. I wouldn’t fault either spot on the field but struggling with a definitive adjustment on replay
  9. he probably doesn’t win but if he does it’s the game. Seems worth a shot in that balance.
  10. Close on everything- only obviously wrong call appears to be catch and fumble
  11. one might say it was a sink/swim choice with the goal being anything but .500
  12. I have a hard time disputing that. but will say I think at some point it crossed from scrappy hard workers around him to fans. I know hard knocks is going to be edited to create narratives but there were a few times it seemed like guys in jerseys, and guys in polos, were about to ask him for autographs. paired with that story in week 1 about someone telling Palmer not to worry because Josh would get it done… it really feels like the 52 are feeling the mvp hangover now, and that’s starting to make 17 feel the need to carry them too
  13. I’ll give the refs credit - I think the right call on a difficult one there
  14. meh- the carolina beat atlanta stuff does t do it for me any more than when our bad team beat better ones occasionally i do think that our current rallying cry is unfortunately “the team that has Josh Allen.” And it concerned me a few times watching hard knocks how both teammates, coaches and our GM all seemed to regard him not as the leader but as the holy savior. Josh doing commercials doesn’t worry me. “Josh will handle this while I watch the spectacle” worries me a lot more.
  15. Older, heavy impact and not a durable frame. we should be expecting him to decline.
  16. the 5.45 is if we wait until after 2026. Unless there’s a major shift, we can’t let him play under that contract next year
  17. I think ogunjobi is relatively just another guy in the DT rotation. Won’t move the needle but better than a street free agent coming in hoecht should be a nice addition. Not a game changer but will help with disguising looks and keeping legs fresh on the more important guys with less drop off
  18. I think many of us do not believe the Brady diggs overlap is indicative of future possibilities
  19. its hard to be totally unprecedented all the time. You can flip a coin and land on heads a dozen times but if you aren’t weighting it, that’s hard to repeat. without elite talent backing up opposing safeties, and game changing pass rushers- it’ll be hard to be unprecedented for 12 more games now hopefully bosa/rousseau/oliver turn up at least a shade more and we find some way to spread defenses thinner too
  20. Maybe a wild one here but… what’s the cost on Christian Watson? coming off an ACL. Ugly injury history but…. Has speed we’ve never captured with this roster, and a big frame we seem to like with being physical. Limited space in Green Bay currently and they might like some draft capital. almost anyone we talk about will be a distressed asset
  21. you know, I look forward to being called an idiot when im not super pumped up after dismantling the panthers with Andy dalton starting coming off our bye I’ll still take the win
  22. I dont think Josh is disinterested so much as a camera man and the game day production choices sure can change perception.
  23. as it turns out next year we could restructure several guys- including some we’ve already seen called the only bummer is the new big deals haven’t played out great so you may not be racing to do Bernard/rousseau
  24. Ironically almost all the saints fans I know that are grounded in reality think a first is a pipe dream and a two would be them robbing the bank still to pass on DK for a 2, or Pickens for a 3 to get place for a 1 would be criminal if we offer a first they would sprint to process the paperwork
  25. in perspective it’s his first non-paid ad post in years but it’s a little bit of a stretch still heck, I’m skeptical he even has the login to the account or any idea what’s on it, right? More likely his agency flubbed this one a bit just not being super aware of current context
